Concerns about William and Catherine's friendship with Tom Cruise

Palace are reported to be concerned about Catherine and Williams growing friendship with tom cruise. They are concerned about them being recruited into Scientology.

Now I hope, that there is no realistic chance that they could be recruited into Scientology. But even having a future king and queen who are sympathetic to scientologists could help this cult. I do believe that Tom Cruise is becoming very friendly to Catherine and William to benefit Scientology in whatever way he can.

Apparently they met at the premieres and had a pleasant time. Tom Cruise praised them and called Catherine "amazing".
He's clearly very impressed with them, but that's probably as far as it goes, unless you're fond of tinfoil hats!

I don't find it controversial but I'd love to know what you base that analysis on?

There are loads of clearly documented events where they’ve met and that ignores any additional private occasions!

I definitely don’t think they are getting converted but it is a very weird belief system.

Cutting ties with your daughter because they don’t want to be part of the same system is completely wrong in my opinion.

I suspect there's a very broad connection, but William is careful, intelligent and very mindful of his role. He's not going to do anything strange such as get accused of considering Scientology!

Tom Cruise did say they were close friends in an interview.

So what if they are friends with Cruise (which I don’t believe, by the way)? Are the Waleses supposed to discriminate against people due to their religious beliefs? When these same people , outside of their religion, do a huge amount for a British industry - film making? All religions are utterly batshit, and most religions do far more damage than minor cults like Scientology, which has a tiny worldwide membership (well under 100,000). Do you think the Sussexes should be condemned for their actual friendship with Serena Williams, member of the cult known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses? Or do you think it’s ok for them to appreciate her for her mammoth talent and charity work and other aspects of her character they find appealing?

And it's a well known fact that no-one has ever fudged or bent the truth in an interview with the press.

But we are talking about TC & his belief system are we not?

So, if we're talking about real friends, it would be easy to say that the Duke of Westminster and the Prince of Wales are friends

The Duke of Westminster's mother is godmother to the POW so he has known the family literally all his life

The Duke of Westminster is godfather to Prince George

The POW was an usher at the DOW's wedding

The POW is godfather to the DOW's baby daughter

They have been seen together at the football etc etc

It would be hard to come up with this sort of evidence for a relationship between the POW and TC. Yes, they have been photographed together but so have thousands of other people been photographed with the POW as part of his working life

I would love to know what the evidence is for a friendship between them . . .

How about refusing your daughter a life saving blood transfusion? Which presumably good friend of the Sussexes, Serena Williams, would have to do to adhere to her religion. I’d rather cut ties with my child than watch them die, not celebrate their birthday or condemn them to not getting a place in heaven because they didn’t sell enough copies of Watchtower.
