Concerns about William and Catherine's friendship with Tom Cruise

Palace are reported to be concerned about Catherine and Williams growing friendship with tom cruise. They are concerned about them being recruited into Scientology.

Now I hope, that there is no realistic chance that they could be recruited into Scientology. But even having a future king and queen who are sympathetic to scientologists could help this cult. I do believe that Tom Cruise is becoming very friendly to Catherine and William to benefit Scientology in whatever way he can.

It was work. William as President of BAFTA at the premiere of a TC film and accompanied by his wife. Calling them 'eager to associate' with him makes it sound like they're crawling after him begging to be besties.

And if you think TC is bad, don't look up some of the people the RF has to associate with on the orders of government.

It was a film premiere. They attended. He was in it. He attended.

The RF associate with all sorts of shady people, is there some evidence that they do pay much attention to what the public thinks?

Many films have them, although not all.
I understand that this was a British promotion, and, in light of this, William and Catherine attended.

IMO royalty and Hollywood do not mix. I know sometimes the royals have to meet stars, but it should be strictly business and no cosying up. Royalty and the stage are two completely different planets with opposing world views. And the amount of sleaze-balls who want to get close to royalty for their own nefarious ends is legion...look at Epstein. The royals really should stick to their posh, loyal turnip-toff type of friends, which to be fair, William and Kate usually do. If I was them, I wouldn't be quite so warm and friendly when meeting stars.

The RF is there by the will of the people. What the people think is a matter of some concern to them, I'd assume, because if the people withdrew that will then there'd be a republic and the RF would be packing their bags.
And the RF is hardly the only British institution that associates with shady people. Mandelson <cough> Mandelson.

I have not claimed they are the only ones to do so but personally I find it a little odd as the majority do find scientology very odd. I definitely don’t think they are going to sign up though.
