Have Harry and Meghan announced their children’s school choice yet?

Has HAMs school choice been announced yet? Moneys not on Lambrook!
Would parents of said school need to be informed? Or because they are no longer working royals would they not need to announce?
Will they go state or private? Can they afford the top private schools now? I gather the state won't pay for their kids education?

I can assure you, they will not need to pay fees, the school in question will waive the fees.

There’s a tip in the Times today that they’ll be living in the grounds at Althorp in one of the estate houses.

Hasn't Mike referred to Harry as a bellend and he obviously ignored them standing at the top of the Church steps after, I think, a memorial service for Philip. If they are going there I can't see it being a popular move in the Tindall household, they seem to be firmly Team William.

That feels like a short term solution/base. A similar set up in London didn’t seem to work too well. Time will tell if so.

Why?

Because, generally, it’s the done thing. Independent schools want royal kids. (I have some inside knowledge in the sector.)

I imagine it’s the same with other brands, like clothes designers etc. A sad truth is that often those who can easy afford to pay for things, don’t actually have to.

Running out of money doesn't mean what it does to ordinary mortals. It means 'I don't want to have to dip into the Trust fund'.

Absolute nonsense. The criteria for waiving fees is dependent on need and ability. Not about publicity. I know first hand .Also the whole fee is very rarely waived. Normally bursaries are used and the parents top that up in cases of real need or if their child has a scholarship.

My guess is that this move is to gather material for a future Diana project. So they will move onto Althorpe property and attempt to do things Diana did as a child. Once they have enough for a book or Netflix series they will return to California.

The kids will almost certainly have trust funds for education. I know folk who are genuinely quite broke and their kids at private school because the family trust fund pays for it. Pretty common.

I reckon Cheam (Newbury) or Cothill (Oxfordshire). Prob not Summerfields as that is boys only and the other two are coed.
Not sure about Surrey if they end up in an oligarch mansion!

It is definitely not nonsense, I assure you. These are independent businesses that can charge whatever they want to whoever they want. I am not talking about bursaries or scholarships. Fees are often waived (or heavily discounted) for children with royal or other connections. I have seen it first hand many times. The offer for fee waiver isn’t always accepted but I have a feeling that H&M aren’t the type to insist on paying!

If I were paying ££££ for my dcs education and H and M arrived at the school, I would be looking to move. I don’t see them as adding any prestige. They are not people to aspire to mix with.

Plus HAM will probably piss off the school employees. They seem very good at annoying paid staff. I just hope Meghan doesn't expect Archie and Lilibet to be announced whenever they enter a classroom.

I don’t disagree with you, but there would be quite a few in the local area who would be looking to join the school for the same reason so your place would be filled quite quickly.

Do you believe everything you read in the Daily Mail? And why would their choice of school be any business of yours??

I assumed it wouldn’t be Surrey but as a PP mentioned the arty stuff, wonder if somewhere like Bedales would appeal? Lots of ‘sleb children there I think and no uniform so might suit their free-spirit vibes!

Because they are toxic and you don’t know who is recording what and keeping what texts ready for the next book! Also any school wanting to accept this family might not be one that others want their children to go to.

I think you're deluded if you don't think there is enough money in trust for Harry's children, grand children and probably great grandchildren to go to private school - which is a pretty minimal expense in the world of the upper classes (not even royalty).

They might not be able to afford $3m+ per year living costs, but no matter how "poor" you think they are, they'll be richer than the vast majority of people ever will be.

No trustee has let Harry empty his trust fund and leave nothing for his kids' education. It's ludicrous to think that might have happened.

QEQM left money in trust for Harry, William and that generation of royals so it’s odds on that QEIII will have done similarly for her great-grandchildren

I think Bedales too. There were minor royals there before I think. Certainly lots of showbiz offspring.
The only problem is security - weirdly you can walk right through it. No one seems to care.

I don't understand why people think they are broke. Harry will have had hefty inheritance from his mum and his gran as well as money they make from investments and previous earnings. TV work pays well.

I seem to recall a lot of parents at Lambrook were not pleased when William's children moved there because there would be security issues and enormous public attention.
