Have Harry and Meghan announced their children’s school choice yet?

Has HAMs school choice been announced yet? Moneys not on Lambrook!
Would parents of said school need to be informed? Or because they are no longer working royals would they not need to announce?
Will they go state or private? Can they afford the top private schools now? I gather the state won't pay for their kids education?

The Drsgon will always make a space if they wanted them. Why would they move to The Cotswolds? What schools are out there?

HelenaWilson · 20/08/2026 21:22

Beaudesert is right next to Gatcombe - princess Anne’s house.

Do you think they'd want to risk running into Anne on the school run?

Lambrook usually full unless this was a longer term plan?

I'm sure Lambrook will have found with great regret that they have no vacancies in the relevant years.

There are plenty of educational consultancies that advise ex-pats about schools, aren't there. H&M may have used one of them if they haven't got any personal recommendations. (This is where cutting off all your old friends turns out not to be a good idea - you can't just ask around.)

I suspect you’re right on Lambrook.

Any of the schools will. Money is always welcome. I'm amused at some posters on Meghan Watch, fearing she might pop up at the School Gates. She might bring you all jam and pressed flowers.

Dragon is boarding from Y4 I think. Boarding the plan I imagine (especially the longer term plan).

There will be preps in Cheltenham and other country prep schools.

🤣 you are very wrong.

Please look it up

She went to that school at age 8...

Zara & Peter went to the local Montessori nursery as young children before going on to fee paying Beaudesert & then boarding.
I suspect they will move onto Althorp so where is closest to there?

PlumCat23 · 20/08/2026 20:32

That was me! I'm asking as I doubt think they can cough up for private school.

They might not be billionaires but they aren't exactly skint either.

I doubt Lambrook would want to piss off William or have a war on their patch.

True. If they are in that neck of woods there’s Coworth where B & E went.

Yellowchair1 · 21/08/2026 06:57

For sure they are loaded! Harry has trust funds from both parents and meghan will have made a lot from Netflix and other media work

You wouldn't want to use their names as a successful example of the schools teaching

upinaballoon · 21/08/2026 07:47

I hope they are taught about adverbs in whichever school it is. Then Archie can stop saying, "Drive safe." and say, "Drive safely." c.f. towards the end of the Oprah interview

I doubt they will be looking in Surrey or other areas on the outskirts of London. My guess is if they don’t go for Lambrook, then its between the school in the Cotswolds or Dragon. Not sure anything else compares. I’m not convinced there are very desirable schools on the London commuter belt nor would they need to move anywhere near there. The best are either in London or much further out in my opinion.

If they went for Lambrook then lots of “sources” will have been spouting shite because there’s not a chance that school would risk pissing off William and Kate by admitting Harry’s kids without William’s full agreement.

If that was announced there would have been a full on reconciliation that had happened without anyone knowing.

Absolutely agree with this. Not a hope.

As in the Dragon in Oxford? I can't think why they would want to battle through the horrendous Oxford traffic every morning in that case.

But H&M would delegate this task to staff - MM isn’t even going to be in the UK a lot of the time.

I heard Kitebrook and house near Stow. But who knows?!

I bet Ham were the last thing the poor parents were expecting!

Why would they move to Althorp? It’s Harry’s uncles house. I can’t imagine them having anything to do with it. Charles Spencer has his own kids who will one day inherit it.

Rent free in one of the estate houses?

Cloverroll · 22/08/2026 13:25

I wonder if they'll choose a school that already has some cousins' children there. That way they can start to get back in with the family, which I think is part of what this is all about. I doubt they will choose the school that William's children are at, because that would be a non-starter, but if they can get in with other members if the family, then I do hope it doesn't cause friction within the family. A 'two sides' scenario.

They were renting in California ,they didn't own it

That’s not true

The Tindalls are nearest in age, but Mike Tindall has supposedly used some fairly uncomplimentary language about Harry, so I think that's a bit of a non-starter.

I can’t imagine Charles Spencer allowing anyone to live rent free anywhere.

And there’s no chance, imo, he’ll risk the comments that will come if he allows Harry to live there when he refused Diana based on not wanting the press that followed her to be around the estate.
