Have Harry and Meghan announced their children’s school choice yet?

Has HAMs school choice been announced yet? Moneys not on Lambrook!
Would parents of said school need to be informed? Or because they are no longer working royals would they not need to announce?
Will they go state or private? Can they afford the top private schools now? I gather the state won't pay for their kids education?

I live in 'the world' and I don't ridicule them. You don't speak for 'the world'.

In answer to some posters’ questions about why people might be interested … in my case it’s because I don’t want them at my DC’s very desirable school on the outskirts of London. Watching this story nervously ….

I read that Elton is expected to shoulder the majority of the outstanding legal fees. It could of course be wrong but he is definitely better placed to afford it! Suspect he has affection and sympathy for H as well.

I really wouldn't blame you.. would they school be under an onus to inform parents of their impending arrival?

How old are Eltons kids?
Could that be a factor in what school if Archie is similar age?

Maybe they're here to work off their debt to Elton?!

aCatCalledFawkes · 20/08/2026 15:03

If H&M do have financial issues, I have no doubt on a different scale than many of us. Even if they have to sell their house in California and downsize over here, downsizing will still meaning spending a few million on a cheaper house. And as for making money, they can do things that wealthy people have always done - make investments and buy property etc!

Elton John and his lawyer are the ones who enticed Harry and probably most of the others to take part in this stupid case that was doomed to failure, so, yes, Elton should bear the brunt of the costs.

@PlumCat23 no onus to tell parents whatsoever unless, eg (to use a ridiculous example) “by the way the upper tennis court has been re-designated a helicopter landing site and the lower school changing rooms are now a police kiosk”

The children are protected by Uk privacy laws including gdpr. We only know that famous people’s offspring are at school if your own dc figures it out - or if you go to a school event and realise you’re standing next to someone famous and then try not to ogle them.

my favourite story was a colleague’s German husband coming home saying he met a nice mum at the school gate who was a native German speaker. A few years later colleague realised her stay at home husband had befriended Claudia Schiffer 😆

So basically it's going to be a case of "surrrrpriiise" at the school gates? Parents asking the kids are there any American kids in the school called Lilibet or Archie?!!

@Teffe same fear here. Maybe they’ve been prepping hard to target Westminster?

I doubt they will be looking in Surrey or other areas on the outskirts of London. My guess is if they don’t go for Lambrook, then its between the school in the Cotswolds or Dragon. Not sure anything else compares. I’m not convinced there are very desirable schools on the London commuter belt nor would they need to move anywhere near there. The best are either in London or much further out in my opinion.

BEAchDays2 · 20/08/2026 20:30

I’m actually embarrassed for the poster who asked if they were going to go to State School. 🫠

That was me! I'm asking as I doubt think they can cough up for private school.

I honestly don’t see how they couldn’t afford it, assuming their net worth is around 60 million, the interest loan on that would be nearly 3,000,000 a year!

CathyorClaire · 20/08/2026 20:35

M won’t want to be shopping in Zara.

I've just bought a pair of superb and barely worn Zara canvas trainers for a fiver in a chazzer and am disproportionately thrilled.

If Rachel's really on her uppers she's missing out 🤓

hahabahbag · 20/08/2026 20:38

I’m personally hoping that they don’t move near there, we are often around there and I can imagine burley security types blocking our way. Seen princess Anne and both Zara and Peter out and about without fanfare, can’t imagine H&M doing that because they court publicity

I'm not convinced they can.

I do think though that soft touch Pa both can and will while finding some way to creatively present the bill to the public purse.

Ooh - I think The Dragon is very academic and entrance super competitive.

Also it tends to be favoured by Oxford dons for their children…not sure hams would fit in!

It’s not super selective I think, although def that contingent.

Lambrook usually full unless this was a longer term plan?

Tom Sykes (The Royalist) is tipping Beaudesert Park in Minchinhampton.

I thought this was a joke, that you made up the names of both the school and the town but I see they are both real LOL

The woman who designed her wedding dress is now the main designer for Uniqlo. She's missing the opportunity to team up with Uniqlo. Ines de La Fressange helped design a Uniqlo collection a few years ago and it sold out quickly.
