Have Harry and Meghan announced their children’s school choice yet?

Has HAMs school choice been announced yet? Moneys not on Lambrook!
Would parents of said school need to be informed? Or because they are no longer working royals would they not need to announce?
Will they go state or private? Can they afford the top private schools now? I gather the state won't pay for their kids education?

That's the things... if they were so wealthy why did they need a mortgage in the first place?!!

In the US, you can deduct the amount you pay yearly in mortgage interest when you file taxes. Maybe that's a factor?

Why not? Beyoncé and jay-z have mortgages- it’s often a better option, do something that earns more return with your cash

In California, and some other parts of the states, where you can offset some mortgage interest against your tax it can be tax efficient to have a mortgage.

Lots of very wealthy people have mortgages.

Money would be invested elsewhere. If their investments were making more than the interest then why take money out the investments?

But they might also have been counting on the Spotify/ Netflix deals bringing in much more than they have.

Harry got most of his mother's estate. William was going to, and did, inherit from the crown as a future king so he didn't need any inheritance.

I was asking how anyone knew they had £60 million. How does anyone on MN know if they have a mortgage. I couldn’t care less where their kids go to school.

They Just read it in some rich list. The mortgage has also been published, its public record. They just follow the reporting around them I imagine.

Its public knowledge in America when a housey is dold how big the mortgage is. Something like 9 million when it was bought. They used Charles' divorce
settlement as a dorn payment. Couple of million.

They may be more than we thing. It costs at least 6 or 7 million a year to sustain their lifestyle: security, mortgage, running costs, schools. That kerps haemorrhaging as the income streams dry up.In the grand tradition of rich people though, they get a lot for free. Private jets etc.

Eton though was very supportive of William throughout the fiasco that was his parents' marriage collapse and after his mother's death, maybe it just suits Harry's victim narrative to claim it wasn't supportive.

Had he not been sent to Eton like William then he could have added to his whines that he was sent to an inferior school because he was the spare part.

I believe that their great grandmother left more to Harry than to William knowing that William would have the Duchy in future. Did I also read that the late Queen left everything to Charles for him to sort out, maybe pieces of lesser jewellry to Anne and Sophie?

“Spare” showed he wasn’t interested in the academic side & didn’t apply himself. I read thinking you’ve no idea how lucky & privileged you were to have teachers who so wanted to engage. The History master went above & beyond & he was just dismissive.

I wonder if he wasn’t receptive re: pastoral care rather similarly? Although as so damaged harder to reach him & help I suspect.
