The royal family

Demographic(s) which determinedly support H&M no matter what

Ratherhaveacupofteaandabiscuit · 17/08/2026 09:57

I am bewildered that anyone can support H&M in light of all their shenanigans.

There is no need to base an opinion on what others write about them, these two show who they are with their own words and actions.

Who are the determined supporters and why would anyone close their eyes to the (inconvenient) truth to continue to fit a preferred narrative?

It reminds me of other scenarios where fans of celebrity figures insist their idol is wonderful despite all evidence to the contrary.

Is it sex, age, race, location? Is it an inability to change their mind after an initially favourable judgement was made?

I wonder what it is that unites die hard H&M supporters?

Is it wrong to ask for answers?

Something went wrong and badly wrong.

The silence is deafening and not speaking volumes.

What are your views on it?

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 12:39

Or like others, is it just ok to label people haters? Or rotter board havers?

CoffeeCantata · 18/08/2026 12:41

Moros · 18/08/2026 12:28

Looking to add some more push-pins and string to your "H&M Are Rotters" pin board?

Are you saying that all the things described on this thread are untrue, or unimportant? Do these unpleasant facts just ping off you like pebbles off a tank?

Your comment suggests you are in denial about established facts.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 12:44

As for the white pill thing?

I don’t just dislike it, I hate it.

But I would hate any man who did it. Not just Harry.

Only one type of man would think that acceptable in my opinion. Only one step away and one letter off from racist.

Poppycorn123 · 18/08/2026 10:35

OK but are you angry with them for letting you down- not wanting to be part of the Royal family any longer?

They certainly do want to be part of the RF ! They insist on using their titles , insisted on their DC having titles and are now trying to have the HIHO they wanted nearly 7 years ago .

Chickendinners · 18/08/2026 11:39

Did PH retract it or just minimise it? Was his ‘retraction’ before or after Scooby named the racists as Prince Charles and Princess Catherine - or did H&M let that stand?

Timeline

March 2021 Oprah allegations

December 2022 Kennedy Ripple of Hope award for standing up to 'structural
racism' in the Royal Family

January 2023 Tom Bradby interview: Harry denies RF racism - says it was
'unconscious bias', says they never said the RF were racist,
and says 'the media said that'.

November 2023 Dutch translation of Omid Scobie's Endgame: he first denies
ever using the names, but later admits an early draft had the
names.

The Sussexes made no public comment on the issue. 'Sources close to the Sussexes' said they were not involved with Endgame.

It's up to each person what he/she believes. For my part, I think the fact that Meghan said in court that she was not involved in Finding Freedom, was then shown her emails and had to apologise for misleading the court, is relevant here.

@LifeIsTooShort247

Yes, there are different degrees of liking/disliking H & M. Some people haven't looked beneath the surface of glam American lady marries Prince and the RF have been mean.

I hesitate to suggest it because it's a pretty disturbing read, but if you look on the American gossip site, Celebitchy, at what's said there about Meghan and Harry and the RF, you'll get an idea of how bizarre some of their fan base is. The editor, Kaiser, loathes the RF (and the British nation!) and she and the posters hate Catherine and William with a vengeance. They have totally swallowed M and H's allegations (and then added their own imagined ones) despite most of them being long-ago debunked; They believe:

  • Catherine is a vicious racist and so are her family
  • She hated Meghan from the get-go and set out to destroy her
  • She never had cancer
  • William beats Catherine up and she was blue-lighted to hospital a couple of years ago and this has been covered up. This is proved by the small scar on C's temple which they scrutinise microscopically
  • William is violent and the couple's marriage is a sham. William has been having an long affair (won't name the woman involved - it's all rubbish) and also gets regularly buggered by this woman's husband
And so much more I won't bore pps with. Oddly, they also believe that the late Queen liked Meghan and saw her worth and it was only jealous W and C who spoiled things.

Also - Meghan is a lovely person who has never had a cross word with any employee (all allegations on both sides of the Atlantic are malicious). She is full of love and care for others and she and Harry are Love's Young Dream. Yes - young.

It's a poisonous site and upsetting to read. To be clear - if people were saying some of those things about Meghan (much as I don't like her) I'd be upset too - they comments about C's appearance and health go beyond what is decent.

They are mostly American, very much anti-British and refer to the UK as Salty Island. They are open and even boastful about their hatred of the UK.

I had never heard of that site @CoffeeCantata so I looked it up.

It is a drop in the ocean compared to Mumsnet though so I would not worry too much about their UK hate.

It only gets 9 to 10 page visits per month, world wide compared to us here at Mumsnet, which gets around 100 million.

And the Royal threads here are very good at continously "exposing" D & D of Sussex, and educating us about their personality disorders.

Ah - thanks. Yes, the identity of the alleged’Royal Racists’ was revealed “accidentally “. In OS’s book, which had Meghan’s paw prints all over it ( he uses her phraseology and puts in things which only she could have known). He’s been a devoted lap dog to her.

I think they’re now estranged, though, as with so many people who’ve been useful to Meghan in the past.

I’m glad to hear it’s so niche.

Actually - the same few names do seem to dominate the royal threads, so that makes sense. They are a horrible lot! And the most shocking thing about them? Some of them go to church! 😳😲

MarmaladeorJam · 18/08/2026 13:14

OliveMyLove · 17/08/2026 17:42

It’s the unwillingness of their supporters to admit they’ve ever put a foot wrong that really keeps the conversation going.

I think it is threads like these that keep the conversation going.

Usually started by people who have an intense dislike rather than supporters.

It is exceedingly rare for a thread to start with "I really like the Sussex duo..."

My point being, people who dislike or hate, start the threads. Or people who are paid.

Here, at least.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 13:18

I’m not medically trained so I’m not sure I can make a comment on any personality disorders.

I would like to know why it is ok to insult someone without any cause and refuse to explain it or engage further - with no clear reason or argument to back the allegations up when challenged.

I therefore would be interested to know which personality disorder that is indicative of.

WildGarlicSoup · 18/08/2026 13:21

Hard to know the truth, really because of bots.

I have read threads online that are full of M&H lovers but I read the comments with a pinch of salt because who knows who is paying who for bots to post in favour, or indeed, against anything? Or just to attract traffic.

I find H& M die-hard posts are all very similar. They have a small repertoire of simple-minded comments which seem rhetorical - as if they neither actually want nor expect an answer.

They seem impervious to any evidence presented to them - just ignore it.

And they never answer questions or follow a developing discussion.

I think there are 2 explanations for this: either they’re a bit dim, or, more likely, they’re bots , as you say. They can interject with a not very original jibe but they can’t participate in a reasoned argument.

bluegreygreen · 18/08/2026 10:56

Thanks for the reference @AnnaQuayRules.

I do like the Press Gazette, because it usually goes into much more detail than other publications.

Being aware of potential biases is good when looking at polls. For this one, it's a self-selecting group of email subscribers (you don't have to be a journalist - I'm a subscriber) and the poll took place in the same month as the Oprah interview.

The helpful detail on this occasion is further down the page, where the information is split by work sector, and there are some useful comments below the graph.

it's interesting that the only significant example anyone could point to was the 'Compton' headline.

Had there been other robust examples, no doubt they would have been used in the Oprah interview - instead of the section about the racist UK media showing headlines of UK papers altered to make things appear worse, and US and Australian tabloid headlines mis-sold as UK ones.

https://pressgazette.co.uk/news/meghan-headines-montage/

Thanks @bluegreygreen I hadn't realised that.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 13:47

You don’t need strings and pins to see that.

For me and most others it is evident.

If someone can explain to me why I am mistaken or have something wrong, I’d be happy to listen.

It just doesn’t happen though.

I know what H&M have said and done. It is out there for all to see. Straight from their mouths.

My opinions are based on that. That and the silences. Both speak volumes.

bluegreygreen · 18/08/2026 14:08

Agree with that @TreCalziniBelante.

Just to add that most medically qualified people will not comment online about potential diagnoses, so people who do are usually speculating from a lay perspective.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 14:43

I wonder how quickly H will scrabble now to speak about his mother/pop out a documentary?

Another of the family mouthpieces is about to spill some beans.

Of course some will welcome this as it will no doubt paint the King in a very bad light.

I dislike this sort of story telling when the main mouth is not involved. Whether because they choose not to pig wrestle or they are dead is all the same.

Earl Spencer has written a book about Diana to be published next year , 30 years after her death. I’m sure he’ll put the knife in with KC but I hope he’ll remember that Diana had 2 sons and he has 2 nephews and doesn’t say anything which will hurt William and his future.

And if he does put the knife in with Charles I hope he’ll also reflect on his own very far from perfect record as a husband and father.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

HotGrapefruit · 18/08/2026 15:55

The 'hate' obsession about H&M is very similar to how it was with Diana. It's quite disturbing.

All these posts saying "I just judge what they have said! <Here's the detail>" or "Here's the timeline" - so weird and obsessive. Why read all this stuff in so much detail? I can't bear Trump so if I hear him on the radio I switch if off!

They are no worse than the rest of the Royal grifters. Post-Charles they are all a waste of space and taxpayer's money.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 15:55

I would hope he’d be mindful of that (re her sons/his nephews).

I suspect he may not be.

And I would hope it wasn’t one-sided.

Ah well, we’re all different. I can’t bear Trump but I do read a lot about him. I want to be well-informed and to form my own judgements rather than just hear other people’s opinions.

I’ve read a lot about Hitler and Stalin too!

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 15:59

All that said, you can see why some people desperately cling on to royal connections.

It is all about the money.

Followed swiftly by the likelihood of having no real relevance of one’s own.

TreCalziniBelante · 18/08/2026 16:19

What disturbs me more is that people just jump on a bandwagon without bothering to check facts for themselves.

It isn’t hate or an obsession to call out those who lie.

I just like to be able to back what I say without resorting to generalised irrelevant insults.

I can’t bear that.

I’ve read a lot about loads of celebrities and royals I don’t like, what a bizarre attitude to only read or comment about people you like, if you don’t that means you are “weird/disturbing/hate obsession” funny how all these insulting adjectives are saved for posters who comment on Harry and Meghan.
