It's quite bizarre how they manage to keep in with these billionaire friends when it's hard to see what they bring to the table.
I'd have thought Meghan and Harry are just the sort of people secretive billionaires would avoid like the plague. Hangers on looking for a freebie and incapable of exerting some discretion.
Presumably the more important guests don't have to sign a NDA as it's taken as given these people like to go under the radar. But Meghan just can't help herself. Dropping the photo of a Scottish loch (I think it's been identified as being near Balmoral, so not on the island) she hints and teases about a trip to Scotland and then it comes out somehow 🤔 where they have been. This draws attention to Wace and the whole set up. With theories and jokes (on my part anyway) about parallels with Jonathan Wace of the Universal Humanitarian Church in the Running Grave, and possible connections with JKR. Who wants that? These billionaires just want to get on with their private billionaire life without sneaky guests dropping hints and inviting speculation and publicity.
I bet JKR invites friends to join her on her super yacht. Do we know who/when/where? No we don't. No one else is so desperate for publicity and to advertise who they are rubbing shoulders with or where they have been. She's a security nightmare.
The Royal Family are bonkers if they let them back in. They simply cannot be trusted. So they "prove" themselves by managing not to post pictures from Highgrove (if they exist) or a blow by blow account of the meeting with the King. Big deal. It's the little teasers and hints, stirring up speculation, which in many ways are worse than a full blown spill the beans. It means constantly wondering what she's going to do next, what else she will let drop, what she's saving for a rainy day. It's a constant niggle and sneaky dig. Like in the interview with The Cut when she said something along the lines of not having to sign a NDA, she can speak if she wants to, perhaps she will....???? Always having to be on your guard what you say, that she will store up for another day, wondering what sneaky photographs she's taken - I'd be sweeping all personal photos and anything else remotely private from all rooms before her visit.
And even if they split up and Harry comes back alone, sadly I wouldn't be welcoming Archie and Lily into the fold when they visit, not because of anything they have done, but because children being children they might let something slip to Mother Dearest on their return, and even if they don't she will winkle stuff out of them. Before you know it there will be hints and sources spilling information about the young cousins and their friends - George is 13 now and it won't be long before the press are gagging for information about his social life.
And Harry does see a public role for A&L - I guarantee that whilst staying on the island, presumably in plush private accommodation or even as personal guests of Wace at his own house, they will have been taken to meet some veterans or other people staying for a mental health retreat. That will have been the start of introducing them to the charitable life.
