Why is Dan Wootton so obsessed and full of hatred for Harry & Meghan?

i recently listened to Spare on audible - purely because it was free and I was interested to see what he had to say. ( most of it was boring self indulgent crap imo)
predictably the algorithms have filled my YouTube with H &M stuff!

it seems there is a daily barrage of videos from DW about them, such vitriol from this man. It’s unhinged!
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of theirs at all but Jesus he acts like they murdered his granny.
He’ll post a picture of one of them literally smiling and turn it into a massive conspiracy theory about smirking at the Queen on her deathbed or some utter nonsense

rant over!!!

@LipglossAndLies that groups all the videos together of which all of then are about H&M no other royal members.

Just what I was thinking!! After all we have all been told about “hate “ watching 🤷‍♀️

I can’t even be bothered to look! , no interest then , no interest now!! …dare I say ..seems a tad obsessive 🤷‍♀️

Can I ask again when was the last time Piers Morgan commented publicly on Harry or Meghan? I haven’t seen anything recently, just wondering what I’ve missed.

Every day’s a school day as they say, glad it’s all cleared up now.

He’s not particularly popular. His videos about Harry and Meghan get the most hits but not really that many.

If you are referring to me, it took 20-30 seconds to establish 14 videos in 6 days about harry and meghan by Dan Wootten on youtube. Yes he is obsessed.

Well, Harry is doing his best to criticize and undermine the First Amendment in my country.

I just ignore him and hope he gets his visa reviewed. He can move to his new home in Portugal.

Just the tiniest of googles suggests one section got 130k views or thereabouts.

It is said that H&M’s interview with Oprah got around 60m views.

That interview changed many minds. They may have been flip flopping opinion wise ever since. Who knows?

But in terms of being obsessed? DW could well be. But he will never get the numbers that interview did and is unlikely to influence opinion in the way that interview did.

There would have to be something mind blowing and exclusive in one of his sections to get anywhere near that figure.

All that to say? No one is going to influence opinions on H&M in any meaningful way other than H&M themselves.

Everyone else is pretty much screaming into the wind.

My thoughts are with the difference in language depending on what the comments are about.

Everyone who regularly posts on mumsnet knows the pigeon idiom. It’s not just on Royal threads!

So he doesn’t have a Royal channel - his channel is Outspoken but he does organise them into playlists - so he has a Royal ‘playlist’ among other subjects.

I looked at his ‘all videos’ list and in the last 7 days he has posted 34 videos, 14 of them on the royals - all focused on Harry and Meghan.

So 41% of his content.

None of his videos look appealing - total rage baiting churn.

My assessment looking through his channel as a whole is that the Royal videos are the ones he’s getting the most traction with and making money with - so he needs to drop one every 3rd to 4th post to keep his numbers up.

I’d say it’s less his obsession rather that he’s playing to his indented audience’s obsession.

I suspect if a different topic was a better income generator he’d pivot in a second.

I just looked too, (never searched for a Dan Wooten channel before 😬), He has one channel, and then his videos are categorized into ‘Royals’, ‘Politics’ ‘Pop Culture” and so on. He also seems to do full episodes and then posts extracts from those called ‘shorts’.

I bet Dan will be very happy he was mentioned on MUmsnet, his engagement has probably doubled in the last few hours 😂😂😂.

I watched about 2 minutes of the video I linked then wandered off.

I remember some H&M posters going after Dan Wootton before with the byline times claiming all kinds of criminal acts.

The police took no action, so another case where Bylines evidence wasn’t all they claimed to be.

I’m sure DW is delighted to get all the extra traffic and name checking on mumsnet.

With Liam posting about the UK trip, the ANL Court case and Sussex’z meeting the king, it’s hardly surprising that Dan has spoken about them

Because the part I enjoyed was Ali G and the rest I don’t care about.

A Scott Rouse video popped up about Oprah’s discussion of her interview with Harry and Meghan and that was fascinating though.

Dan is a narcissist (similar to her) and she was instrumental in getting him fired, so he's out for revenge. Live by the sword, die by the sword. They are both as bad as each other

How did she get him fired? It’s kind of ironic if true. I wasn’t angry enough at the person who got me fired to make a YouTube channel. 😂
