How many times. You sound insane and are making a fool of yourself.

Think the fools are the ones who can't understand the difference to be honest. Imagine having to take things up just to have a pop at someone...that is crazy.

Ok @LipglossAndLiesI’ll bite!! I’ve managed to ignore your posts for 25 threads. But can you explain to me please, how putting posting a photo on instagram of your very young daughter in a swimsuit is being “concerned and cautious”?

Bite? It's a discussion forum 🤨 Anyway..

What's inherently concerning about a normal family beach photo? Children wear swimsuits at beaches and pools. Millions of parents share those photos, and children's swimwear is advertised everywhere.

To me, 'being cautious' is open to interpretation by the person sharing. From what I've seen, they don't post their children every day, they appear selective about what they share, and they generally don't show their children's faces. Seems like they've decided this level of risk is what they're comfortable with, whereas others may draw the line somewhere else. What is it about a child in a swimsuit that you find so concerning?

I think the problem is they are on different pages and always have been really. He genuinely wants to be back in the fold. Seeing all his family and living in the UK. I don't think he wants to be a working Royal again but recognises the need to be 'useful' to them in some way in order to get security and housing.

She hates the UK and hates his family, with the exception possibly of Eugenie. There's no way she wants to be a working Royal. On the other hand she can't make enough money from her lame ventures to afford the luxury lifestyle she wants . She also can't function as a person without a lot of attention and adulation . She needs to keep the instagram stuff going to feed her ego and convince herself she is important. I don't think he cares a jot about public attention but needs to stay in the public eye so they have a chance of generating money somehow.

I do wonder if he even looks at what she posts on Instagram.

He could fulfil their need of being ‘useful’ to them (RF) if he STFU - then they would give him housing and the protection that already comes with that.

But his overinflated ego wouldn’t allow that. He wants the fame and adulation as much as MM but just for different reasons - I don’t think he wants to monetise his presence or to be in the A List circle - but he’s arrogant, entitled, delusional and grandiose enough to believe others think he’s hilarious (his cheeky chappy shtick) and profoundly intelligent with his global statesman nonsense - still a grifter but for attention to feed his self esteem rather than $$$$.

He still has a long way to go to work through his anger and trauma. The loss of ANL will leave him raging, the upcoming Sentebale case will erupt his self righteousness and indignation again and this is where his narcissistic collapse could be very dangerous to whoever he has in his sights. None of this will be played out quietly behind closed doors - he doesn’t have the emotional regulation, capacity or intelligence to process and resolve his distress. If there is subs abuse, social and emotional isolation and a fractious marriage none of this will be pretty.

Reflecting on the photo, be it Althorp or not, with Lily trailing behind Harry and Archie; regardless of whether it should or shouldn’t be posted, it doesn’t strike me as top tier parenting. Yes, I know kids trail and dawdle, especially when it’s hot, but let’s imagine the image is truly what M wants us to believe it is.

M and H are taking their DC to a special place, where their Grandmother is buried - somewhere that means a great deal to their father who has spoken publicly about his mental health. Now let’s imagine taking young children to that special place. You would prepare the children carefully - for their own mental health - and probably hold their hands on the walk there. A private family moment of togetherness.

And on an estate the size of Althorp, couldn’t you at least find some fresh grown flowers, instead of sending some poor flunky to the nearest garage?

As with everything these muppets do it’s wrong. If it’s for socials, it’s neither inspiring, nor emotional. And it definitely doesn’t elevate their reputations in the direction of being decent humans and good parents. It just shows us who they are.

Hmmmm let me think

Does the fact that for a long period of time the most popular publication in men’s prisons (by a very long margin) was the Mothercare catalogue give you any hints at all as to why showing a child’s body in swimwear is much more icky than showing their face occasionally whilst normally clothed?

Thedom · 26/07/2026 08:15

I do wonder if he even looks at what she posts on Instagram

Just going by photos and video of him , it looks like he is out of it on recreational drugs / medication most of the time, so I would say he doesn’t have a clue nor care what, and if, she posts.

It’s quite interesting they also haven’t posted any Spencer family photos, nor any photos inside Althorp House, just that one leading to Diana’s memorial/ grave. Charles and his recent wives have posted loads from the inside and outside of the house, including entertaining guests there, so it’s not like they are very private about it.

There are a few posts on Charles Instagram where he comments about his childhood home being the one on Sandringham and how that was a very happy family home, clearly the opposite of Althorp. His own experience of Althorp must be very miserable too, so many of his own families have been destroyed in that house, mainly due to his own cheating.

Interesting that Harry aligns himself with Charles Spencer.

I believe W&K have an unwritten agreement with the media that they will provide their own pictures of the children at specific times in exchange for them being left alone. It seems to be working.

Yes they have had such an agreement since William was a child. It's a necessary compromise which acknowledges legitimate public interest in the children of the Heir. But no other royal does the same because they don't need to. Once again Harry fails to see that he does not have the same status as William.

How many times...cautious putting pics online does not equal to don't put pictures of your kids online.

So when posters write he is a hypeocrtie because he says don't post kids pictures online then does ...well thays wrong he isnt being a hypocrite because he never said never post pictures.

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I'm not calling him a hypocrite. I don't care what he said.

I shared my actual experience of being used to promote my mum's lifestyle journalism up thread. My experience of my image being shared by a not very famous person in a pre-internet era.

And my opinion based on actual experience of being a child in that position is that you never share images of your children this way.

Perhaps you have a comment on that?

Serenster · 26/07/2026 08:52

BasiliskStare · 25/07/2026 23:55

H "" But from what I’ve seen, what I’ve heard, what I’ve experienced, is you should be really really worried, concerned and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online."

They ( HAM) don't seem that worried to me. You don't need to see a child's face to be able to recognise them in context. & that's why I think accusations of hypocrisy are not wide of the mark. Those children IMHO are overexposed for what seems like no real reason. & I leave to one side eg the describing their still nascent personalities on the internet to sell candles. Let your children be FFS H&M , and you might be taken more seriously.

The point that strikes me in addition is that Harry was exhorting normal parents to be really really worried, concerned and cautious about putting their children’s images online. He was talking to people like you and me - “civilians” if you like, and implying the risk exists even if you are a normal person without a big platform.

What possible justification can they have, then, for putting images of their own children on their public social media platforms? Knowing as they do that they have millions of followers and garner massive online and media attention and so the images will be seen by millions more. Realistically the only explanations (whether are because they naively want to share the images with their fans, or because they value the public attention more than their children’s privacy) mark them out as hypocrites of the highest order.

FenellaFeldman · 26/07/2026 08:55

I think that's it, @Serenster. For the same reason that the children are Prince and Princess, and the girl is called Lilibet Diana.
It's about promoting themselves. That means they have to keep in the headlines, keep the comments and the interest going.
There is no way thet are going to allow those children to live under the radar.

There's a difference between the owner of the home posting pictures and guests doing so. I think it would be very rude but I would also be surprised if CS didn't absolutely ban it. Whether they have privately taken pictures of Diana's grave who knows? It's the sort of thing Meghan might keep in her back pocket for post divorce when she will go nuclear with anything she has gathered along the way.
The walk towards the site of the grave is typical Meghan - sneakily doing what she is not meant to be doing, teasing and hinting to the public. I wonder what Charles Spencer thinks of that photo.

Private visits should remain just that. Private. But Meghan will have been delighted to be a guest at Althorp and there's no way she could keep quiet about that.

sickofsixseven · 26/07/2026 09:08

Of course she has those pictures in her back pocket. Wasn't she allegedly caught taking photos of the Wales private living spaces? There's no way she didnt get the "money shot" of Diana's memorial

I should think CS is furious

StartupRepair · 26/07/2026 09:30

MasterChef starting in 30 minutes. I have been watching this season so feel I 'know' the contestants and the judges. I suspect Meghan is going to be quite bland and banal.

That is what I think too.

@ShamedBySiri, I agree, but I don’t think CS would have an issue with family photos of their visit being posted by Meghan, I doubt he put an embargo on it, yet the only photo of Althorp she posted is the one of them on their way to Diana’s grave. Same with the photo of her and the dog at the Montecito pool, putting that dark vignette around the edge of the photo, obscuring Charles and his new wife, trolling just enough to entice people to look at it in depth.

Maybe I am heading towards a tin hat, but I keep getting the feeling that the pigeon isn't staff.

Serenster · 26/07/2026 09:51

She’s heading into Taylor Swift territory on her instagram - leaving hints and Easter eggs all over the place to encourage detailed review and speculation!

I don't watch it these days (used to many years ago when it was a Sunday afternoon show..) so as a guest will she be cooking? Or just talking about her own cooking experiences? Presumably flower sprinkles will be recommended!

That would be tricky, because she doesn't really cook, more... present food, really.
