If one accepts that any photo can be altered to show whatever the poster/photographer wants and if we were even to consider that some/many of HAM's holiday snaps have been photoshopped, do we have any impartial evidence that M and the children ever left Montecito (or Portugal if they got that far)? Has it all been 'private sources say...' ?? Have either KC or Cam actually officially said anything about seeing the rest of the family?
(Apologies but this thread scampers along at such speed that I have trouble keeping up!)

I was wondering the same.

The one photo which was identifiable as Portugal had no people in it. Same with the photo which seems to show somewhere in Scotland.

We do know that they and the children were 'hosted' by Charles and Camilla at Highgrove. And Harry was seen being driven out of Althorp. Other than that though, who knows? The beach photos could have been taken anywhere, and while I'm not one to immediately scream 'AI!', the black and white pool photo looks a bit suss to me.

Very frequently, posters who are pro Sussex like to downplay this.
Why? The blatant hypocrisy of H&M. It's indefensible. So they defend it by pretending it never happened, or Harry didn't quite say that plus accusations of other posters lying.
It's an uncomfortable truth, what H&M have said, and what has been actually said and done are very different.

On the early H & M threads there was a cohort of posters who were determined to make Megxit about race. It really got quite nasty, no amount of reasoned discussion could get them off that track. I think once people have a personal axe to grind they stop hearing anyone else’s voice but their own.

Have either KC or Cam actually officially said anything about seeing the rest of the family?

The visit was confirmed by the palace:

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have visited King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday evening that the King and Queen hosted the family at Highgrove House earlier in the afternoon.

The Palace described the meeting at the King's private home in Gloucestershire as a "private family occasion".

Awful. It is particularly egregious to weaponise race - wrongly - against an institution.
Harry wasn't just making false accusations against his family, but against the Head of State, which reflects on the UK.

Worse was that their deliberate vagueness meant the speculation and shadow fell on absolutely everyone 3 generations of Head of States for many years due to H&M silence.

I genuinely don't know how anyone in the RF can be welcoming and forgiving after such horrendous behaviour.
H&M were very lucky to receive the welcome they got.

I'm in my 50s, and Wallis Simpson was only ever a fairly obscure historical figure, who didn't really seem to have done anything apart from marrying an (ex) king. Nice jewellery, though.

Diana died when I was in my 20s. It was a big news item and I felt very sorry for her children. But some of the reaction (the public laying flowers etc) did seem weird to me. She always struck me as a bit dim, and quite manipulative of the press.

Same here! , weirdly the only thing that really stands out in my memory.. hairdressers and other professionals, literally having to take a day or week off to grieve!! 🤷‍♀️ , I was standing in my work at the time thinking ( Oprah quote incoming!) ….whhaaaaaaatt!

It was also clearly deliberate, as the interview wasn't live, so that portion could have been edited, or the wording changed to avoid any ambiguity.

The accusation was not withdrawn until Harry denied it in a mealy-mouthed way in his Tom Bradby interview in January 2023, a month after he accepted the Kennedy Ripple of Hope award for standing up to 'structural racism' in the Royal Family.

Don’t remind me!! , I have not forgotten the abuse and pile ons that led to many decent posters no longer being here!!
And absolutely nothing whatsoever will ever rival the hounding and accusations of racism being directed at black posters in defence of ham!! 😡

BasiliskStare · 25/07/2026 13:24

I believe that HAM and the lets came over to the UK. I believe they went to Highgrove ( BP put out a statement ) I believe they went to Portugal and to Althrop. Whether some of those photos have been touched up a bit for maximum instagrammability I neither know nor care. Frankly apart from knowing they visited KC which as a father / grandfather I'm pleased for him , I don't really care where they stayed I do think the Althorp with the flowers photo was a wee bit tasteless . I also think H needs to get over Diana as his USP. He's one of her sons. W feels it as much as he I'll wager but doesn't bang on about it. As others have said , apart from her family and friends she doesn't really resonate with most people now , even those who remember her at the time. Also I do think the "sweet nods" and "channelling" Diana articles because someone wears a red dress or a black swimsuit or a v necked cardigan with a contrasting trim etc etc is pure slow news day clickbait. Diana wore most colours & many styles over the years - even I could probably go to my modest wardrobe and pick out something you could find a vague resemblance to something Diana once wore. I think if H is hanging his hat on big popularity simply for being Diana's son he's on the wrong track.

Not that it matters but yes I believe that they were here and visited the king and queen, I also think they probably visited althorp but they only visited, they didn’t stay there , apparently they stayed in soho house for the entire trip ( this was a rumour that has now been confirmed by journalists 🤷‍♀️)

The posters were so blinded by hatred it obviously never occurred to them there are black and mixed race posters also posting on these threads as critics of H&M. In their racist tiny minds we were all white supremacists.

ETA - I believe Harry and Meghan were here and that some of the observations from people regarding were they/weren’t they are quite bonkers.

Do I care they were here? No. Not at all. I’m just glad the children and their grandad spent time together.

bluegreygreen · 25/07/2026 13:33

Agree with all of that @BasiliskStare.

I suspect that Meghan does edit some of the photos specifically so that there will be comments, but as you say, it doesn't really bother me.
I do think that she (along with Harry) has lost a lot of public goodwill in all of this. I hope that they are happier than they appear and don't find themselves in need of that goodwill.

"The easiest thing to say is to keep your kids away from social media,” Harry told HuffPost at the event
“Life is better off of social media,” Harry continued. “I say that as a parent, and I say that as someone who’s spoken to many of the kids here tonight who are not on social media because they’ve lost a brother or a sister to social media

Thank you, @IAmATorturedPoet; I'd got that in my mind but couldn't think where it came from so you've saved me a job Smile

Amusing that some try to pretend they didn't say exactly such-and-such but that it was something else/the media's fault, when actually the hypocrisy is all too obvious ... almost as if they feel their tarnished idols' playbook is something to admire and copy

You're arguing against a quote that doesn't exist. It's been said here that he's a hypocrite because he told parents not to post photos of their children and posts pics of his kids, so I said fine produce that quote. Instead we got "Be cautious" and now this one which is about children tgemselves not accessing social media the very law the government is bringing in. Those are different statements. So neither is saying don't post pictures of your children therefore in this respect he isn't a hypocrite.

So let's be clear, so far noone can actually provide a quote where he said it therefore he didn't say it. It's pretty simple. 💁‍♀️ but hey if you want to believe made up stuff go ahead

Starryfifty · 25/07/2026 13:42

Let's hope they have settled in the lane of social media influencers. Photo dump, particularly the cling film flowers is tasteless. The rest, soulless, zero warmth, as ever

Lol still not able to prove he said it so your making things up then. Yet its the fans who lie?

The contortions are something else!

Harry would be proud.

Houdini I mean.

I think Meghan and the hamlets were definitely told to wait outside, firstly because KC would naturally want to see his son without his puppet master in the room, secondly it would put the puppet master in her place, making her wait, that would have infuriated her and I bet her jaw clenching must have been off the scale and have given her TMJ, thirdly it would mean KC and QC were able to spend minimal time with her and give her barely any ammunition to use at a future date, I expect Meghan and the hamlets were in the room for less than 30 minutes.

I don't think KC seeing H alone would work either. He's every bit as fame hungry as his grubby wife. It's too risky
