Diana’s mother bought the flat for Diana and then she sold it shortly after Diana married. It was funded by an inheritance bequest so the proceeds returned back to her family management.

Ah that's interesting

I was thinking about the staff having to clean up the footprints inside the house! I bet they're very inconsiderate guests. Plastic wrapped flowers for a start .

I have a friend who worked at Windsor and said exactly this. Others come to use the pool and tidy up after themselves- ie leaving towels in a pile. Not these. And this was pre children days……

Thedom · 24/07/2026 08:18

It is a sad life for her, always trying to compete with the family she thought she could outshine. This is one of the reasons she is so unlikeable and unpopular in the US and UK.

Dignity is not a word in their vocabulary or actions..

ShamedBySiri · 24/07/2026 08:19

Interesting there was a landscape photo of a lake in the hills, looks like UK but not sure where. Not unlike Lake District or somewhere in Wales.
Did they post that to tease that they have travelled around the UK on their holiday? Surely that just confirms they managed to stay under the radar and do not need the massive police protection?

I thought the same.

Or Scotland? Hints of “we were at Balmoral don’t y’ know.”

Interesting user name, Lipgloss - is this a reference to Lipglossgate?

It's something a dear friend (no longer here) used to say when we were younger and lipgloss was all the rage, so its a nod to her and that memory.

Of course it is .

Why surprised? This completely proves she doesn’t do it intentionally. Imagine the exhausting logistics of cross-checking schedules just to avoid specific dates!

Weird anyone actually thinks a person should do that lol

Lol whats weird is that a person actually does this, but she does. Literally every time there is a Royal event, occasion or engagement some nonsense is posted. There's no way it can be written off as a coincidence at this stage. Maybe even she knew that trying to overshadow a child's birthday was a bit much, but she still couldn't wait any longer than a day later to post something

As we surmised earlier on these threads, Harry’s in the RAVEC queue (that I imagine is carefully, analytically and professionally triaged) behind politicians and others who are actually at some risk. And who live in, work in and have a function in the UK.

https://www.thetimes.com/uk/royal-family/article/prince-harry-security-uk-visit-prime-ministers-wlbgksg5r

(Anyone got a share token? The Times articles can’t be archived.)

I don’t think Harold will be getting his review anytime soon, there are far more pressing security costs to the British tax payer than some unemployed Prince who expects met officers trailing after him on his, and his family’s jollies.

Instead Mr Burnham is planning to head for Heron House, an existing Government office in the centre that is used by GCHQ

Security at the building - which also hosts a pub - has been hugely increased and workers have been busily sprucing up nearby Albert Square.

No10 has insisted there will be no extra costs to the taxpayer, but experts have warned that the bill for fortifying an office for the PM and providing round-the-clock armed police will be eye-watering

Ooh I didn’t think of Balmoral but you are right.
Or maybe we climb mountains too you know…

TemuSussex · 24/07/2026 08:45

I definitely CBA but I wonder what it would look like if one compared RF postings to HAMs?

There are 365 days in a year so...

SheinSussex · 24/07/2026 08:53

I’ll fight you for the crap clothes, @TemuSussex . 👗👞

In the meantime…

The photos are nice, but they stand out like a sore thumb because she's never done a "holiday dump" before. Obviously done to include the Althorp photos.

The landscape photo looks like Scotland, but looking at KC schedule I don't think they would have had a chance to meet with him before Highgrove. Still it shows they can travel throughout the UK and Europe with no issues and it's not reported on.

Dontevenlookatme · 24/07/2026 09:00

To be fair it is the silly season and there is no sillier couple than the MWs of Montecito.

I hope the children had a lovely time visiting the Brooksbanks, I wonder how much of this holiday they were parked with the nanny.

Justdancevance · 24/07/2026 09:00

I’ve finished the book yesteryear, it gave me Meghan and Harry vibes, the protagonist thinks she’s hooked a prize (presidental hopefuls son) but realises all his family think he’s an idiot and are delighted she’s taken him off her hands.

I thought they had their own property in Portugal?

My God, this is ridiculous. I really hope this waster never gets his way

Lifestooshort71 · 24/07/2026 09:31

I think they're nice holiday snaps and good to see the children relaxing with H. It is a bit obvious that they're still avoiding faces though, all carefully curated.

Thedom · 24/07/2026 09:36

Meghan seems to have joined in the face hiding on this cycle too !

NormalAuntFanny · 24/07/2026 09:43

Can they seriously have taken a dog on holiday in a plane? Then left in in Portugal for the althorp/highgrove speed run. Poor thing.
