@FallenNight - the general thinking, I believe, is that they did have some (not Head of State level) state-funded security on their trips to Ukraine, Nigeria and Colombia. These were faux royal 'tours'. I would bet my pension that they haven't had it on holidays or for the Australia trip or the Swiss roundabout trip.

They want it in the UK because it signifies their (former) status. They think they're still important and they like to pretend they're still important.

Poor kid. Bad enough being stuck in hospital but now he has to deal with some balding bloke trying to be best mates. I'm sure he hasn't got a clue who he is and why he's there. Why is he there?

Headline would be more convincing if that sort of photograph wasn't taken on every single royal visit to a hospital. Harry wasn't mobbed, he simply stood next to the staff.

Just musing ladies, what do we think HAM's next step will be ?

Was the whole Harry and security calling "heeyalp, heeyalp" (in best Penelope Pitstop voice) actually a set up with Chris Ship?

Hard to know. There's really not a whole lot of options left for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harry gives an 'exclusive' soft soap interview with some American network, whining about his sekuridee and how 'they' are all out to get him as evidenced by the denial by RAVEC, no room in the BP inn and now this massive defeat in His Majesty's Court.

Other than that slanderous statement, he's not said a word. That could be because he's humiliated by the enormity of the defeat, or could be that he's keeping his powder dry. We shall see.

Wasn't Harry in Ukraine with other significant figures that Ukraine would not want injured on their watch? So the security wasn't for him, per se, but under the cover of a wider diplomatic visit?

Then as for Nigeria, he was attending as part of Invictus, and again, the threats might have been based on the military nature of it, etc?

I.e. the events, individuals etc involved warranted security, and in some countries armed police is much more normal, I once bumped into a fully loaded Carabinieri in a toilet in Rome.

It's not necessarily a case of Harry being given anything equivalent to the situation in the UK based on his own threat profile.

When HaM were at Spotify, they tried to cancel Joe Rogan. I do not think they had even finished a single podcast for Spotify when they attacked the number one star and by far the number one earner at Spotify.

Joe Rogan was not impressed.

And now, Joe can exact revenge on H and destroy H's reputation in the eyes of millions of listeners in one podcast...the very US audience H needs to sell his story to so that H can pay for the lost court case and cover the bills of living in Montecito.

We all knew Doreen didn’t have money- she was brought on to give credibility….so that it wasn’t just a bunch of degenerate celebs that want to control the press.

Means that there are just a few that will share the costs. I’m guessing Elton will take the biggest share, Hacked off will donate, Harry will have to pay a huge chunk.

For those who asked, thhe Birmingham hospital visit is linked to the WellChild thing - their logo is all over one of the pictures taken - and yes Harry's still patron of that too

As for the ridiculous Chris Ship, he's thrown so much effort into supporting Harry that maybe he's going through what some other fans did ... as in he knows he's making a fool of himself now but can't quite let go and accept thhe reality yet
