Nobody seems to know for sure. Why should we care. Maybe he doesn't even know himself yet. He can't seem to do anything without attracting lots of press articles.

@WoodchipAnnie56 I don't think you should repeat that misogynist, slut shaming gossip about Camilla. What a horrible description of her.
Just because it's in a book, doesn't make it true, or acceptable. As we know from "Spare".

I think most people by now acknowledge that Charles and Diana should never have got married, they were not well suited.
All three had affairs.
Post divorce Diana moved on and had a happy life with her partners as did Charles and Camilla who have been happily married for over 20 years now.
Both women did and QC continues to do some excellent charitable work as does Charles.
William has, over the passage of time, accepted his father's relationship and can see that Camilla is good for his dad and that they make a good team.

So if you are going to judge people on those terms Jeffgoldblum then why just pick on Diana and not Charles and Camilla as well?

@WoodchipAnnie56 the poster you referred to (@jeffgoldblum) was not picking on just Diana, your post conveniently left out Diana and they were bringing that to your attention. You need to judge people on the same terms as Camilla and Charles and that includes Diana.

Indeed! , although I admit I only skim read their overly long and emotional post! 🤷‍♀️,
personally I don’t care what two people did over 30odd years ago! , however facts are facts.

IceLollly · 11/07/2026 12:21

I think some people are stuck on the idea that D&C were a fairytale marriage that ended badly. They were basically strangers with little in common.
Harry is old enough and experienced enough to see her parents weren’t good together and they even recognised that and had come to understanding.
Diana would have married again if she had lived, does he think he would have liked having a stepfather, I don’t think they liked Dodi did they?

I agree.
Facts are facts and I think if that poster is applying a moral judgement then it should be applied consistently 🤷‍♀️

I anticipated this standard response as it’s the one that is usually tripped out because it is in many royalists interest to paint Diana as a “slutty” unstable creature when actually Jephson, her private secretary, completely contradicted them and said Diana was extremely well organised , energetic, and tackled her charitable work with huge professionalism and as he worked closely with her for seven years then he should know. He also said there had been a strategic smear campaign against Diana which formed part of Bolland’s PR strategy to rehabilitate Camilla.

As for the moral judgements; why is it that Diana is the only one that catches all the flack when the men concerned (including Charles) are never criticised in this way?

Having made that point, let’s not forget that Diana was nineteen when she was engaged, twenty-one and twenty-three when she had William and Harry and when her marriage - which she had pursued in good faith but in which she was sorely deceived throughout - blew up… .

At least she got to the point where she was considered “moral” enough to marry a King, if those are the standards you are judging people on Jeffgoldblum?

Funnily enough I am just reading “Battle of the Brothers” by Robert Lacey in which he decribes the then young Camilla Parker Bowles née Shand as;

“a characterful lady noted for her sheer brass nerve” … “who was quite well known in society circles for being ‘a bit of a goer” and therefore not suitable by the standards of the time, to marry a prince. And of course Camilla was famously unfaithful to her dh when her dc were young, as was he to her,

So if you are going to judge people on those terms Jeffgoldblum then why just pick on Diana and not Charles and Camilla as well?

What? @jeffgoldblum was merely pointing out that they both had affairs. She wasn’t the one that brought up the topic in the first place.who was that now?

Do you think he'd be willing to try anything she'd prepared?

I agree it was an arranged marriage of convenience.

Di would have married again without a doubt. But I don't think it would have been Dodi.

Just because it's in a book, doesn't make it true, or acceptable. As we know from "Spare".

Parts of Spare were like a complete fantasy novel.

My favourite story from it was when Meghan gave birth and required an epidural but they were still home from the hospital in under two hours after Archie was born. Home at the time being in Windsor which was an hours drive from the hospital he was born.

If we're meant to believe, the Portland, one of the best hospitals in the country would allow an hour old baby to be discharged is incredible. And I've had two epidurals. There's no way I was in any fit state to be leaving hospital an hour after birth!

He would have spread it on two scones and asked her to pick one to eat. Ladies first.

IceLollly · 11/07/2026 13:06

@Newname26i think Dodi was on the way out, but they didn’t like him. They didn’t see that much of her so having to share her would have been more of an issue. Some billionaire would have come along eventually who suited her.

Of course they didn't! Utter rubbish.
I laughed about him getting high on her pain relief, though.
What a great birth partner he was! High as a kite.

Oh and having a lunch with a group of people, including Gyles Brandreth, doesn't mean you're selling stories.
Camilla hasn't had a six part Netflix series bemoaning her life and blaming everyone else has she?

I love Gyles’ Rosebud podcast. They are very old friends, saw him live recently and he told how he had tutoring as a teenager and went up the drive to the house and noticed an attractive teenage girl having a sly fag in the bushes - it was Camilla. I bet their lunches are hilarious.

Fantastic! She does sound like good company.

If we want a random Camilla story, we had family friends visiting Balmoral (where when the royals are up they go about completely unbothered) and their dog peed on Camillas Range Rover. She found it hilarious and spent some time talking to our friends.

Something I can't imagine Meghan or Harry having any sense of humour about.

There's no evidence that Camilla briefed the press. Harry and Meghan continuously do this.
Not honestly nor with evidence.
Camilla certainly hasn't done nasty, sniping interviews or written a book criticising Harry. She could! But she won't.
There's the difference.

Oh come on, do do you really expect there to be evidence readily available to the public about this saying Camilla potentially or allegedly engineered this story or that?

Palace PR is well resourced and we know from Lownie how it flexes its power with the use of NDAs and not so subtle threats and employing journalistic poachers as PR gamekeepers!

But more importantly we know from the contacts themselves - not Camilla - that there are strong lines of communication nonetheless.

Mark Bolland openly stated in a recent article that he was still in touch with Camilla.

Bolland was allegedly paid £150,000 by Charles to rehabilitate the image of Camilla after Diana’s death, and who was and is married to the head of the Press Complaints Commission at the time, Guy Black, and was, and allegedly still is, a friend of Rebekah Wade now Brooks, who was CEO of Murdoch’s News International from 2009–2011 who then resigned because of the Milly Dowler phone hacking scandal, one of many other phone hacking incidents, and was tried and acquitted for the same in 2014 and for perverting the course of justice.

If you read up about it all, you can begin to understand why Harry was and still is complaining about it many years later. He may be confused and a little paranoid about some of the stories written about him but he’s not wrong to feel that powerful alliances were playing chess in the background of his life.

At the time there was allegedly a great deal of concern about the so-called Bolland-Wade-Black axis. Ross Kemp, Wade’s first husband, was allegedly childhood friends with Black and they all allegedly holidayed together. Kemp, before his divorce from Rebekah Wade as she was then, was an ambassador for Camilla’s royal osteoporosis society.

There are lots of photos of Camilla & Charles greeting Rebekah Wade and Ross Kemp at various events if you Google.

The most important thing to remember is that many of the media executives who were in charge at the time of the phone hacking scandal are still in charge now! Rebekah Brooks for example returned as CEO of News UK in 2015 and has been in that position every since.

Guy Black was, until 2018, Executive Director, of the Telegraph Media Group.

And Bolland launched a glittering career off the back of his extremely successful PR campaign for Charles & Camilla and is now a highly influential, well connected, establishment figure, a vice-president of UNICEF among other appointments, and is currently leading the UK government's drive to tackle the youth unemployment and inactivity crisis, having been a former CEO at M&S and Morrisons.

It’s said that Bolland and Camilla are still great friends and Bolland said in a press interview recently that he meets her for lunch several times a year and apparently he has a signed photograph of them both prominently displayed in his home in the Cotswolds.

This alone imho should make us all question seriously what we read in the press about KC and C and Harry!

And who were the two friends prominently supporting Rebekah Brooks’s after her acquittal from the phone hacking trials?

Morgan and Clarkson!

And who among others were at the famous press lunch attended by Camilla after which that nasty piece appeared written by Clarkson about Meghan being paraded through the streets with a shaved head and having dung thrown at her head, for which he had to apologise publicly?

Clarkson and Camilla were friends as teenagers and he reported that they shared cigarette and chats.

Clarkson and Brooks have been photographed chatting together and smoking behind the tents at Cornbury.

They were and still are part of the now infamous Chipping Norton set. (Remember the difficulty over BSkyB, Vince Cable and the Christmas dinner attended by Cameron the PM? Cameron was once part of the group once but it’s written that he didn’t remain loyal to RB during her trial.)

Morgan originally employed Rebekah Brooks at News of the World and they know one another of old!

We all know that Piers Morgan went off on many wierd vitriolic rants about Meghan that got him sacked from the BBC when challenged about it.

The sycophant but clever Gyles Brandreth wrote a very flattering biography of Charles and Camilla’s relationship titled “Portrait of a Love Affair” and is involved with Camilla’s literary work and there he is, oh what a surprise, popping up on morning tv calling Diana “mad” during a conversation that was completely out of context! His recent commentary at Trooping of the Colour btw was so brown-nosingly deferential and complimentary to Charles and Camilla that even strong royalists of my acquaintance turned off their tv!

Patrick Jephson, Diana’s former press secretary., publically questioned the ethics of Charles and his coterie who seemed to rehabilitate Camilla by spreading a narrative that Diana was mentally ill.

And in a more recent documentary Jephson has stated: "I think Camilla, far from being the simple country woman that we were sold is actually a very shrewd politically media savvy person.

"We are told that the campaign to rehabilitate Camilla has been subtle. I don't think it's been subtle at all. It's got all the subtlety of a sledgehammer."

"I think Charles' office was pretty cold-blooded in the way they used Harry," he continued, "misrepresenting facts to portray his father and his mistress in a better light.”

This elite connected group of people all know which side their bread is buttered! This is how elite circles maintain their power and privilege. Try and protest or question too closely and you get completely destroyed in the press eg Harry. Chris Bryant MP, Ed Milliband MP. Their stories of what really happened behind the headlines can be researched if you are interested.

And lastly here’s an article quoting Charlie Brooks, race horse trainer, husband of Rebekah, praising Charles’s love of the sport!
Charlie Brooks is pictured with Camilla!

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/racing/2025/06/09/queen-camilla-royal-ascot-king-government-betting-tax/

So yes the connections are there if you care to look! This is all supposition by me but at the same time everything I have mentioned can be easily researched with a mobile phone and Google. It’s up to you what conclusions you draw.

I asked the Queen to help save horse racing

Just like farming, the sport is viewed with cultural disdain by the Government but Her Majesty can help change that

Yes, there was PR to improve Camilla's image. It had taken a battering due to the antics of Diana and her fans. Your misogynist quote from that book was disgusting. She had that - and more to put up with.
A bit of PR is hardly the same as 6 years of Sussex lies. Both from them directly and the followers of the Cult of St Diana.
Can you imagine if Camilla had done an Oprah interview and lied and smeared people like H&M did?!
She wouldn't.

I'll be honest, I couldn't be arsed to read it all, but it's from the usual playbook.
Charles and Camilla have been married for over 20 years and still some people can't cope.
Move on from 1997, eh?

Harry and Meghan the said they were upset about it leaking and claimed it was done by the palace.

This is fact, not conjecture. Everything Harry has said about others leaking has no credibility. He’s a big fat liar.
