At this point, the "Sussex Squad"—which is a pretty childish name in itself, especially considering they chose it—is just embarrassing itself. They've spent years pushing the same narratives, yet they've only made the Wales family more popular. What's more, people who aren't even royal watchers are starting to notice how extreme some of the online behaviour has become. When every photo, appearance, or charity event turns into another conspiracy theory or personal attack, it becomes much harder for the wider public to take those claims seriously.

Living in the Republic of Ireland, I do find it interesting when Republi declare all the cost savings doing away with the RF would bring about without acknowledging the cost of running and operating a presidency.

Having also looked at the motley crew of prime ministers and party leaders, I genuinely think KC and PW and Catherine would do a better job than any of them. I think polling shows they would win any election.

Its a challenging role as a constitutional Monarch / President, our new President seems adept at keepie uppies but not quite so good at walking that fine line, hopefully she’ll find her feet.

I think Catherine does a lovely job, she makes it about other people, not herself. There’s no fanfare, no closing the path for her an a TV crew, just some nice engagement with other people, after a hard time with illness

It's fascinating that you have to brig up Harry and Meghan with totally false theories, to defend Catherine in a totally unrelated topic (or rather diverge the discussion). It’s a massive tell. Most people are perfectly capable of looking at the royal family faults and low output without giving a single thought to the Sussexes. If you can’t defend her and the monarchy on its own merits without pivoting to this couple living far away in California, it just proves you don’t actually have an argument. That's quite pathetic.

The Sussexes aren't even working royals. Yes, they’re annoying, but they’re out in California funding their own lives. They aren't part of Andrew's rehabilitation, they aren't draining the taxpayers, and they aren't getting a pass for doing nothing. They actually left. The end.

Besides, isn't this topic about Catherine? What the fuck do Harry and Meghan have to do with her work ethic? Anyone with a brain knows the real problem isn't the Sussexes who are just noise, it’s Catherine and the rest of that royal family who call themselves working royals, their entitlement, and the absolute refusal of some members of being held accountable.

Harry and Meghan were funded by taxpayers for years before they flounced off, yet they still expect the public to cover the cost of their security. They should be held to account just like everyone else.

And once people in this thread start bringing up Andrew and others, you lose the right to insist it’s only about Catherine and that Harry and Meghan can’t be mentioned.

I’d love to see how much Harry as a single royal and Harry and Meghan as a couple cost the tax payer during their time as ‘working’ royals. You don’t ever see the faux republicans questioning this do you 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s a shame that Catherine could not somehow have done the walk as a personal challenge, and to highlight that there is life after cancer. Or even have done it entirely privately. And then encouraged public donations some other way-via one of the souvenir shops or something. There’s bound to be problems with her personally fundraising-if that’s what she’s doing.

She did do the walk as a personal challenge and to highlight that there is life after cancer or while living with cancer. That was exactly the message she released. Her personal challenge was then connected to a fundraising effort by The Royal Marsden hospital encouraging public donations towards increasing holistic care services at the hospital.

The Royal Marsden is doing the fundraising. They are using the very high profile of their patron to do so.

The other charity that has been highlighted is was an organic development to her meeting the young boy in the wheelchair - she made a donation to his campaign which was a kind way of getting his charity campaign more publicity because they could then talk about the donation and have the media share the link for that.

The narrative is always complicated with that one.

The latest bugle call appears to be tell them off for mentioning Harry and Meghan! Well the answer to that is no, absolutely not, funny isn’t it how radon gas and Dartmoor prison doesn’t get cries of what’s that got to do with the thread? so start practicing what you preach or button it.

It’s only a shame for you, you who appear to have a personal grudge against Catherine in particular. Yes you must find in a great shame how positively her successful challenge has been received, how popular she is, how heartfelt her video was, how much people will have donated to The Royal Marsden because of Catherine.

Neither are the two things mutually exclusive. Her achievement doesn't mean not recognising that people struggle managing, financially, mentally, and physically.
