Worried about Beatrice/Eduardo

First of all I know there’s a cloud hanging over the York daughters but I don’t want to get into that here as it’s been covered thoroughly on other threads - it’s more about the pictures of them arriving at the Philips wedding the other day.

Did anyone else think that things looked very strained between Beatrice and her husband? To me it looked like they were both putting on a show for the public but he has checked out. I really hope I am wrong because she’s got very small children to look after, and diabolical parents who are no support at all.
It’s very sad.

I actually think it's usually the ones piling on the outsized public displays of affection who are headed for the divorce courts. They just look like a normal married couple to me

SadTimesInFife · 09/06/2026 14:15

They're not worried about you

Off with their heads! Bloody 'Royal' family are all thieves and scumbags.

This.

Harry and his missus seem to overdo it.

It is kind of their job……

They aren't working Royals, so no it isn't their job

Indigovelvet · 09/06/2026 15:00

Edo is the dude but not a keeper. Social climber red flag.

I don’t worry about them, but I’ve always felt he’s given off the vibe of marrying Beatrice for what she could bro g him (and I don’t mean a cuppa in bed!)
I don’t think he quite bargained on everything that’s come his way!

I agree.
Despite the media spin.
Wasn’t he engaged with a young child ?Didn’t his future mother in law ( not Fergie ) express surprise to hear he was seeing Beatrice and his relationship with her daughter was over.

maddiemookins16mum · 09/06/2026 15:11

Do people really worry to this extent about complete strangers. Nope.

Anastasiaa · 09/06/2026 15:19

I have an impression of Bea as quite sensitive, gullible and vulnerable. I would imagine after being banned from Ascot by KC3 and all of the hideous revelations and police investigations re her Dad she must have been quite anxious turning up to a RF event with the press and public looking on - I wonder if she was scared about being booed - or even if she should turn up at all.

They won’t look after their children. We pay for them to have a nanny.

They are not supported by the state

HumberSquid · 09/06/2026 15:40

Lol yes @stickystick I bet its keeping you up at night. Not at all that you just want to indulge in some ill-natured gossip.

Don’t know about that, but after a ten year relationship with her former partner, it did seem a little marry in haste.

Blimey, four years passed between splitting up with Dave Clark and marrying Edoardo, how long should she have waited if four years is too hasty?

There's a step-son so at least until he was older than university age. Smile

Not directly, no.

Well, it depends rather on how you view the monies and properties that are paid for in central London by two successive monarchs who themselves inherited that money via four mechanisms: funds grifted by Victoria from the government (ie the state) and ‘managed’ by her and her husband Albert; the Duchies; sweet deals with the Crown Estate; and the historic slave trade.

Added to this the money the junior Yorks have had their hands on via their hideous parents (I doubt they’ve given it back or we’d have heard), including from Epstein, dodgy deals and Crown Estate sub-lets to their own staff; and the money the York princesses themselves have earned grifting off their titles in the Middle East. There are many unanswered questions about what’s been through those junior Yorks’ bank accounts, now being investigated at public expense.

Plus, I’m very interested in whether the Crown Estate (a state body) paid Edo or his company for the ‘remodelling’ he did of a wing of Royal Lodge after he married Beatrice. I hope the Public Accounts Select Committee and NAO - again operating at public expense - get to the bottom of it this year. At least they’ve made a start …

I’m not surprised if any of them look troubled tbh. Tick tock, maybe.

The Crown Estates are not a ‘state body’. They are not owned by the people.

DaisyDooley · 09/06/2026 16:15

You would think this thread had been posted on AIBU rather than The Royal Board with the sheer amount of nasty comments.

ChicAutumnCrow · 09/06/2026 16:22

DaisyDooley · 09/06/2026 16:14

The Crown Estates are not a ‘state body’. They are not owned by the people.

It’s The Crown Estate, singular, that ‘own(s) and manage(s) land for the benefit of the nation’. That’s why the National Audit Office and the parliamentary Public Accounts Select Committee are being allowed to report on it and investigate it in such excruciating detail at present.

There are clever semantics at play about cui bono and its legal ownership, I’ll give you that.

I too thought they would be a bit fearful of being booed by the crowd, @Anastasiaa

Sudagame · 09/06/2026 16:23

They were probably all a little apprehensive, although we're not responsible for 'the sins of our fathers' l imagine they felt all eyes on them.
l did think good old Mike Tindall giving them all big hugs and such a warm greeting, which must have helped .

Oh don't. It's revolting.

Truly revolting! Can’t believe someone would say that in the first place and someone responding with a laughing emoji thinking it’s funny and appropriate to say. Some people are weird that’s for sure!

Wonderlandpeony · 09/06/2026 16:56

He looks the same as usual to me.

sprigatito · 09/06/2026 12:22

This. I honestly couldn’t give two tugs of a dead dog’s cock about any of these grifters, and I can’t understand why anyone would.

What a disgusting phrase.

stickystick · 09/06/2026 17:31

I am surprised by all the mean comments.

If we are encouraged by the RF, media and society in general to celebrate/watch on TV*/get emotionally invested when these people are born, get married and have kids over many years, then is it any surprise some people might feel worried or sad when these relationships look like they may not be going well?

I am sure many of us have been in situations where their partner has been cold and distant and I just felt really sorry for her when she had to ask him to hold her hand. It can’t have been easy facing the cameras and all that scrutiny let alone with a husband who may not be supportive.
As for the people saying ”oh she’s rich” - rich people are not immune from unhappiness at the hands of others.
