He went to watch Sophie in a horse driving competition, to be fair he kept his head down. Quite rightly!

Are he and Sophie close? Surely not, given all her work with women who've been victims of sexual violence?

IAmATorturedPoet · 01/07/2026 18:09

Just looked up the event and a member of the public who saw him said:

“Andrew sneaked in and sneaked out and definitely didn’t want to be seen

Should he be wearing a disguise? 🥸

The report I read said he appeared briefly , didn’t speak to anyone and disappeared sharpish .
Edward was there but no interaction .

simpsonthecat · 01/07/2026 19:29

I expect he will be hiding in the rhododendron bushes 🤣

He will packed off to a cottage on the Balmoral Estate.

Who remembers Jonathon Aitken? A former MP jailed for perjury for very dodgy dealings whilst a Minister for Defence, and on the Privy Council, he was very busy procuring prostitutes for Arab businessmen back in the day, along with other acts.

Anyway, he has been in touch with the Palace because now he is an Anglican priest he wants to 'help' AMW with 'spiritual guidance'....

Okaaay.....

A prison chaplain they say?

Maybe he's seen an opportunity to drum up a little future business 😁

Entirely unsurprising that MW has grabbed the opportunity to haul his porky arse into what limited limelight he still can.

True to previous form as is Ed in demonstrating he still has the family's support.

With a spray gun, perhaps, ready to drench waiting photogs in white paint? Wink

Sorry, Mylovelygreendress, that should have been for @simpsonthecat ... linked the wrong poster!! Blush

Lalgarh · 02/07/2026 10:56

By the way I did post a link to a story on how Andrew got that bruise. It got taken down.

deeahgwitch · 02/07/2026 11:05

How did he get that horrible bruise @Lalgarh?

Lalgarh · 02/07/2026 11:15

A fight. Allegedly. After one of the workers on the grounds made a personal remark relating to that stuff that escalated.

probably all false rumours though

simpsonthecat · 06/07/2026 12:27

Haha... what an article, who'd have thought we would be questioning whether a member of the Royal family went to Pizza Express
As for it being a matter of security for the Met not to answer whether any protection officers accompanied him 'for security reasons'... what a cop out. Why is it unable to answer 'for national security' whether a PPO was with him at Pizza Express 25 years ago.
You couldn't make it up

If in doubt, always cite 'for security reasons'.

So pompous. Because the Duchess was away.

Seriously who speaks like that???

I bet he was nowhere near pizza express. If he had been, I’m sure there would have been photos produced, as evidence by now.

I wasn’t aware he was a fan of pizza! Would have thought it was too lowbrow for him!!
but if he does eat it I’m sure he would have perverse tastes!! , probably pineapple and anchovies on the same pizza!!

simpsonthecat · 06/07/2026 15:54

I am sure there would be someone somewhere who either saw him picking up Beatrice or who was at the party and could say, yes he picked up B.
Seems far too odd that there is not one member of staff, general public, parents of the birthday party attendees, or attendees themselves to vouch that he was there

I don't think Andrew, or the rest of the Windsors, are known for having particularly highbrow taste! Except maybe for King Charles.

I love that Pizza Express launched their own investigation thats hilarious and humiliating for Andrew and the RF.

You love thinking entire family has been humiliated by the actions of one. OK.

Yes, you would think it would be more trouble than it's worth.

Not dealing with it for 15 years means they have been, doesn't it?

simpsonthecat · 06/07/2026 16:47

The Palace do what they always do. Stick their heads in the sand and hope it all goes away. And without investigative historians, journalists and the uncovering of some of the Epstein files, it would have all gone away.
But sometimes your past just catches up with you...

CathyorClaire · 06/07/2026 16:51

I don't blame Pizza Express for launching an investigation when they've been cited as an alibi for an alleged serious crime and dragged into a high profile nationwide interview.

Personally I don't think he was ever there.

No photos ever produced (surely someone would have been star struck enough to grab the opportunity?) And no staff, no other attendees or parents of such have ever come forward to corroborate his fairy story tale.

For anyone rubbing their hands together in anticipation of watching others be harmed by the actions of one person it sure does.
