Whether or not all this is true given it is DM but I have to say..

I just know I would not have the brass neck to parade myself with the rest of the royal party for the paps to pick up on like the daughters have done. And I am not backwards in coming forwards! I just would be thinking of my own little family and keeping myself to myself. But not the York daughters!

I would discreetly go to the church and then I would enjoy the wonderful reception at Gatcombe and party in the evening or whatever was planned but I would not put myself out there for everyone to pick up on.

Why could they not just do that?
Are they as entitled as their father and mother?
I find it very odd indeed

And an interesting point about Charles being informed and delighted about Eugenie’s pregnancy and no mention of Camilla.

BillericayDickie · 13/06/2026 12:29

wow if even a small part of that is true. why the hell does the King not stop pandering to those spoilt women. he manages to treat his son as a leper. yet these to women are awful and much worse.

Yes if everyone else went by car and they walked in front of the crowds where everyone photographed them that is very odd. Also they are in their 30's. They could ignore Any of Daddy's wishes or tell him no. They chose not to.

Agree about Harry. The whole family treat him like a leper. Apparently they are all terrified he will recount their conversations to Netflix or have hidden cameras around ( despite him not having done anything of the sort) they are all desperately positioning their hats to deliberately cover his face etc etc yet they are happy to have these grifter daughters by their sides when they are not shilling dodgy cash in the same way as their parents. Just as they were happy to welcome AMW and his ex wife with open arms until it put the spotlight on them. That's all of them. I het behind the scenes they are all supportive of all the Yorks.

Telegraph article behind a paywall

AMW was being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office between 2009 and 2011
The former lead investigator says...
"We were logging intelligence on Prince Andrew. Intelligence reports were going into the SFO system on his activities in Luxembourg with the Rowlands.”
On Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s relationship with his friend and financial adviser, Mr Randall said: “We thought it was a bit strange and grubby.”

Investigations of now at last been sent to Thames valley police as part of their investigation into AMW

You cannot tell me that the palace did not know about this

There were audible protests at trooping the colour by anti monarchists just now. The fact you could hear it over all the flummery was quite notable

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/06/2026 14:08

I think the royal family has different values. They seem to value loyalty above everything

I agree, @AreYouSureAskedNaomi, but then they probably need to when you consider the impact of even the tiny amount that's trickled into public view

Between the exemption from the Freedom of Information Act and the all too convenient sealing of records they try very, very hard to preserve their image, but even that's frittering now, and while a decline in the % of support was inevitable after the Queen died I don't imagine they're pleased with what it stands at now

Desperatelyseekinglazysusan · 13/06/2026 14:19

They always have the option of being extremely grateful for the hand they have been dealt, through no effort of their own, behave like decent human beings, don't take the piss and do good works of course. Then they won't have to manipulate and compromise the entire establishment in order to keep their grubby little secrets.

Thanks for archiving.

All quite believable given the reports MW's cardboard boxes were marked HRH when they were shifted from RL.

The daughters are beyond brazen. They've clearly inherited the rhino hides of both parents.

I don't hold any candle for the entitled H or his missus but I increasingly think his cardinal sin has been to flap his gums freely.

The key takeaway for hangers-on who wish to keep hanging on appears to be put up and shut up.

Thanks again for the article.

The grubby and off-piste meetings with the Rowlands passing under the TE umbrella were documented a while back (I think by DM who have done sterling work in uncovering what they could).

It's quite shocking we're still having to rely on the release of previously sealed files in a foreign jurisdiction and leaked emails from third party court actions even to get a flavour of what went on.

CathyorClaire · 13/06/2026 20:57

Heartening to see Republic using the MW scandal to useful effect at TTC.

Less heartening to see restrictions imposed on the protest by the Met.

#What did they know?

Decacaffeinatednow · 13/06/2026 22:08

The Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday deserve an honour for their service to the state. They have played a leading role in uncovering the scandals surrounding AMW and the cover up of his behaviour and his ex wife’s behaviour by his parents, siblings ant daughters and the wider RF.

LipglossAndLies · 13/06/2026 22:36

I like the placards with the pictures on it...can't hide away from that

bluegreygreen · 14/06/2026 00:09

Pictures with AMW and Epstein - fair enough, no issue with that.

I think the placards with pictures that include any of the victims are horrible - it feels like further exploitation of them.

Quite deliberate by the protesters - they brought megaphones and positioned themselves as close as possible to the front of the crowd for the fly past, so they were close to the BBC commentary box and microphones.

Of course, it’s a free country and they are perfectly entitled to turn up with placards and flags to be disruptive as they do. What they can’t do is pretend they were more than a handful in a crowd of several thousand, or that the crowd around them weren’t annoyed by their chanting, starting chants of God Save The King and giving three cheers for the King in Response.

I think you will find they were very noisy, but neither large nor popular.

Decacaffeinatednow · 14/06/2026 14:00

Who wants them to shut up? Not me - as I said, it’s a free country.

I do doubt that their tactics (turn up and shout through a megaphone) is going to prove a strategy that wins the hearts and minds of the millions that they need to win to their cause in order to bring about constitutional change, though. Their current tactics are a bit more suggestive of Monty Python than a credible political voice, but I’m sure we disagree on that!

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 14/06/2026 15:56

To be fair I think the Windsors are doing most of Republic's work for them

What's the problem then?

I am sure the Police will have vetted where they can stand. And insult them all you like, but they get media coverage!
