The ongoing dramas from Montecito courtesy of H&M.

I can’t see another thread but I made the same mistake last time …

One thing’s for sure - the actual Royals cannot in anyway be seen to support or be associated with IG. It’s not just toxic, there’s a strong whiff of financial scandal too. In fact that is another reason why they shouldn’t even consider any sort of reconciliation with Harry.

I don’t recall PH using Sentebale as his ‘personally piggy bank’ - that’s not what the complaints are about.

Edited

There's an allegation that he was undermining the board by asking sponsors to funnel money through Archewell, rather than direct to Sentebale. The Delaware charity legislation under which Archewell was formed allows 95% of receipts to be used on "expenses", with just 5% needing to be donated to charitable endeavours. That is the allegation - we don't know if that's what happened.

It's very telling. "My friends, the Wales". (Paraphrasing) I'm glad Robert Irwin told the Harkles to f& off

Isn't Robert Irwin an Earthshot Ambassador? He knows where real power and influence lie, and he's not going to risk his relationship with two future kings to indulge the Montecito chancers.

I'm surprised that neither Beatrice or Eugenie and their families have not visited over the years as I thought H was close to them. Obviously H&M wouldn't want them to visit now. In fact, no one in their family has visited them in Montecito have they?

I think Eugenie and Jack visited once - they "just so happened to be papped" at a restaurant in California with H&M

Eugenie and Beatrice have enough of their own problems at the moment - it's also possible that H&M are choosing to distance themselves from their cousins at the moment

noonames · 08/05/2026 10:02

It’s such a repugnant process isn’t it - persuading donors to give to a cause and then only passing on 5% of the money while you keep the rest. Especially if there was an alternative way of doing it where the charity got the whole lot. It would be quite shocking to discover a global humanitarian making space in their busy surfing / xbox / ChatGPT speechwriting / lunch at Nobu with friends / showing up and doing good diary to get involved in anything so greedy and grubby.

Ingriftus is really starting to stink. If Boeing gone, who else supports it ?

Lockheed Martin is a longstanding sponsor.

I know Meg not directly involved but as it is her "love"'s project, can't see why one of her 4 billionaire pals who won't let her fail, donate to ingriftus???

shellyleppard · 08/05/2026 10:28

@WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing well said 👏👏 it really annoyed me when they "stepped back from royal life for their own privacy" .....then they're telling all to oprah!!! Privacy my arse

Thedom · 08/05/2026 08:54

And I think they know that no matter what Meghan thinks she has to say about her in-laws and the UK, her credibility and reputation is so bad, that very few will give any credence to what she has to say, so there won’t be any big worry about her causing a scandal.

I hope you're right, Thedom, and it would certainly help if Harry was no longer in her corner bleating about people being nasty to his wife, but as we saw with the howls about Meghan's allegations "proving the RF's racism" some will believe whatever they want to - even if they've gone very quiet since H&M made them look foolish

If it comes to it I'm also not sure about a tucked-away RF property keeping Harry quiet, especially if there was no public role attached. He simply doesn't appear capable of it, so maybe the best option would be to play up his mental health difficulties, which often creates a public stampede to get on board

Starryfifty · 08/05/2026 11:58

Meg will have texts, emails etc from H showing how deranged he is. His reputation in the toilet now anyway so whatever she has, will just be written proof he's an absolute Gom 🙄

I’m really basing it on how they said they would never disclose who made the ‘racist’ comments because it would be ‘too damaging’ and then when they eventually disclosed it via Scobie, it was just a damp squib and, in fact, it backfired on Meghan.

Same with the RF being racist and uncaring, the initial impact was soon replaced with her and Harry being accused of exaggerating and embellishing, and then eventually being proved to be lying, with Harry basically admitting his wife lied about his family being racist and lied about who were the ones ignoring and dismissing her mental health struggles.

I believe no matter what she comes up with, it will be taken with a pinch of salt, yes the gossip around it will be fun, but any real impact will be negligible for others.

AprilMizzel · 08/05/2026 12:22

There a lot of critism of Meghan and how she is with people that's wider than the RF now - Netflick has remained quiet but others haven't.

Frogmore would be funny. I wonder if the ikea furniture is still there.

If, years from now, the RF open up Frogmore or Knot Cot to the public, will tourists be lining up to pass a velvet rope, behind which is the Knot Cot living room, with the original! Ikea couch?

That all makes perfect sense, @Thedom, and as you suggest Meghan's blabberings do at least provide entertainment value, which is just as well since they're no use for anything else

I still believe though that the RF will shield Harry if it comes to it, trotting out the mental 'elf gambit in an attempt to repair his image. After all we're already seeing it with Andrew and Harry's hardly in his bracket - though at least Andrew hasn't blabbed on the rest of the family, which may be what really matters to them in the end

Thedom · 08/05/2026 12:44

I agree @Puzzledandpissedoff , if Harry is divorced, and Charles is still around, I think there will be moves to try to rehabilitate his image and even though his popularity has plummeted with the public, he is still more popular than Meghan, so it’s possible he could eventually be seen more positively if he is in the RF fold again. If Charles is gone and William is King, I don’t know how a Harry comeback would pan out though.

It depends what it is - if it’s DA / coercive control etc against PH then people will listen. Equally if she has any scandalous info about extra-marital affairs, protecting AMW, money etc - maybe areas that even PH wouldn’t go - the gloves will be off as she has no loyalty to a sibling, uncle, father - but post divorce she could well want to make cash.

You also have to consider that she will still have the investors / agents / media outlets etc whipping her up with all sorts of promises (as has been the case to date) about money and reputation that she will be motivated by - this is their gravy train too to make $$$$$.

No one is interested in PH post divorce story or him still bleating on about the RF - note that MM kept well out of the Spare publicity. She’s keeping her powder dry.

noonames · 08/05/2026 12:49

If she has any sense, Meghan will hang on to him until William becomes king - at which Harry is properly in the wilderness with much less chance of returning to the RF and she will retain control.

noonames · 08/05/2026 12:52

I wonder whether Harry ever has moments of reflecting on what he has lost / given up, whether all the people he has trusted (including his wife) really had his best interests at heart, and whether it’s all been worth it.

This is such a valid point, it’s not just the RF or the British public, it’s anyone they have worked with, even Netflix had a few leakers too.

Her arrogance and entitlement is so evident whenever she is in public, giving interviews, tours whatever, she is not able to camouflage it.

And H is too stupid to realise how very limited his reconciliation window now is - and that Invictus isn’t a way back.

I’m currently 👀 the Birmingham local election results. Reform candidates won’t have the required financial experience IMO to deal with the fiscal headache that is Invictus, on top of the bins/unions/social care/community cohesion. The Gaza-focused independent candidates, if elected, will vehemently oppose Invictus given it’s inclusive of the IDF.

Nope. He has said many times he has no regrets and is still demanding accountability etc

noonames · 08/05/2026 13:04

He clearly expected the RF to come grovelling with the required apologies, begging them to come back and ready to acquiesce to all their demands.
I mean this is next level delusion - remember his argument that he needed security because of how much he was loved by the British public and how devastating it would be for the country if anything happened to him. Then that it was all an establishment stitch up and his father could have sorted it but his family wanted to kill him. Oh and his mother was “basically murdered” and the press wouldn’t be happy until history repeated itself.

Ok, I think I have answered my own question - no, he has never stopped to consider what he gave up and whether it was worth it, because he’s an absolute nut job, deeply paranoid, with no ability to join the dots between his own choices and their consequences. I would be so embarrassed if I were KC3 - not about any of the stuff Harry revealed in Spare but just that my son is such an idiot and the whole world is laughing at him.

I'm sure Charles is deeply embarrassed by him.
