What a lacklustre promotion from Serena. Very odd

Admittedly influencers aren't my thing but I've never heard of a single one of these people - whatever happened to the A listers Meghan was so keen to schmooze?

Also, aren't Serena and Meg "best friends " ?? Serena doesn't like chocolate (she could at least pretended to in her post but appears she couldn't be arsed) yet Meghan sends her chocolate??

I wonder if SW is distancing herself from MM - I doubt that she was impressed that MM embroiled her in the Sentebale Polo match nonsense. SW’s mother had the measure of her early doors when she ignored her at the tennis - maybe SW is finally seeing the light.

How grim must it be after a spectacular sporting career against all the odds that the expectation is that you hawk your mate’s MLM-type tat - can’t see how this adds to SW’s brand.

There is no benefit for Serena in being friends with Meghan.

Lacklustre on both sides I would say. The letter didn't seem personalised and why send chocolates to one of the very few people on planet earth who does not like chocolate? Especially when she's your 'friend'?

Serena seemed to think of the unboxing vid as a chore to get over with. She wasn't arsed to redo the video when it turned out the chocs were all stuck together. Imagine ordering chocs at $5 a piece and they don't even bother to package them in a way to prevent that mess! And Serena talking while chomping away at one of the chocs wasn't exactly an image of sophistication!

Serena’s a Jehovah’s Witness and JWs do not celebrate or acknowledge Mothers’ Day because apparently they believe it to be based on a pagan mother-goddess festival, so they don’t participate for conscientious reasons.

This might account for the lack of Serena’s enthusiasm. Well, that and the goods being total crap.

I also wondered if that SW video is a way of distancing herself from M. There is no other way to interpret what she says other than throwing shade on M.

Serena married outside her faith and had a child outside of marriage, both of which are highly discouraged, if not outright forbidden. Witnesses aren't even supposed to participate in competitive sports, which Serena obviously did! So I think it's safe to say she's not the most devout JW.

I doubt she's been impressed with anything MM has done. Serena Williams and her husband don't use their kids to promote themselves, they barely even use themselves to promote themselves, they don't need to 😂
This whole Australia thing was an embarrassment to MM, Harry and anyone who admits to being their friends.

There is another one of him prodding a guy at an event in Australia - this time at the rugby match that they ditched the girls retreat to attend. Here I think his poking is an attempt to humiliate the person they are meeting.

It popped up in my youtube feed today - I nearly didn't watch it as it's Dan Wootton and I'm not a fan. However it is a short clip but you can skip to 1.21 to see the actual rugby clip.

Harry and Meghan are being introduced to people before the rugby. One of them looks like a rugby player. Harry is curt with him (just a hi and bye) but Meghan stops for a smiley chat. Suddenly Harry steps forward and pokes at something about the suit the guy is wearing - like a Sergeant Major who has found a uniform defect on a "lower rank". Then Harry quickly turns away but gives Meghan a glare. Whether he was jealous, generally pissed off or just wanted a drink/other substance it looked really awful to humiliate the guy over his clothing.

Did someone sit on Serena's chocolates or did they get damaged in transit? as the box looked ripped. She opens the box to a sticky clump of chocolates - which does not scream "luxury gift", especially as Meghan is charging £58 for those 10, very sad chocolates.

One of the comments on the DM article is that Serena had to fish the box of chocs back out of the bin to record the video. Makes sense as to why they are all squished at one end of the crumpled box.

At that price I'd be expecting individual gold plated wrappers for each chocolate!

Seriously, though there must be a way to package chocs so that they don't go all nasty in transit. Especially at £4 a pop! In a previous discussion someone said that Compartes, the LA chocolate manufacturer Meghan is partnering with, are known for supplying occasions like weddings or corporate events. So the product is likely to be decent but rather bland and generic. Certaintly not high end 'designer' chocolate. Again I ask, who is the market for this overpriced white labelled crap?

That makes sense as the box has a dirty mark on it.

Oh that is not a good promo for the product... The chocolates look terrible. Also - why does Serena need to eat one while talking about it? I hate the sound of someone eating while they are talking.
