PR disasters of Meghan and Harry.

Left off at the last page with Meg selling candles to people who want to know what her young children smell like. She’s also using the kids full titles in the press release….just for a dash of extra exploitation.

As you were

I don’t get it. Hasn’t Meghan had six years now of having the creative, financial and social freedom to do whatever and be whatever she wants? (Wasn’t that the whole point of leaving?). And having the freedom to say whatever she wants, to whomever she wants, socialise with who she wants, wear whatever she wants? How has the universe been holding her back?

Poor Meghan, none of this is her fault…we just don’t understand how special she really is.

Just so unbelievably up her own arse.

Exactly . She was “trapped”in her beautiful home with gorgeous clothes , staff , security , access to luxury travel , important roles on the world stage, money etc for less than 2 years !

I've no idea. The pair of them are the same. Anything that goes wrong is someone else's fault.

Papercompany · Today 10:17

She clearly feels that the world doesn't see the 'true' her.... As I say to my kids - 'other people's opinions of you are none of your business '.

She should take the advice that she dishes out to the parents of young people - get off social media.

If she is going to do 'Tours' of other countries and sell candles inspired by her children then this will invite commentary. It's as simple as that.

PoppysAunt · Today 10:24

It's bizarre to think that you can lead a very public life, court publicity and celebrity, be controversial, and yet can't cope with any criticism?.

Recklessismymiddlename · Today 10:26

Don’t be silly @PoppysAunt it’s not criticism, it’s hate. Surely you know that by now. 😉

Cocolapew · Today 10:27

Harry looks so like Charles in that video clip.

George V and George VI also on offer by the same author

On a slight tangent it's tomorrow Charles arrives for his US visit ... anyone else wondering what stunts H&M will produce while he's there? Hmm

Because she's a space cadet

when people ask me what my children do I run through their occupations till I get to my youngest (who amongst other things is severely autistic) then I tell them he’s an astronaut (because he’s always up in the clouds)

So those self-regarding MN ‘regulars’ and Sussex sympathisers who joined in with the ‘Kate’s complicated cancer journey’ and ‘where’s Kate?’ garbage were being duped by the Russian propaganda machine? Oh that’s just priceless.

I read that this morning but I live so much in my own world I’ve no idea why the Russians would do that. But I did laugh at the thought of the Sussex squads role in this.

HoldMyWine · Today 11:04

i think this tweet from ‘The British Prince’ on X covers it well:
Prince Harry’s arrogance reaches new heights with his deliberately ignorant and stupid comments to ITV’s Chris Ship during his latest Ukraine PR stunt. When asked if he recognised the description of himself as “not a working royal,” Harry petulantly insisted, “No — I will always be part of the royal family,” while claiming he is still “doing the very thing I was born to do.” What breathtaking entitlement and wilful blindness.
His cousins — Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise, and Earl James — are also part of the royal family by blood, and like Harry, they do not work for the head of state or represent our country in any official capacity. They conduct themselves, without books, Netflix deals, lies, or public betrayals. They don’t demand diplomatic access, taxpayer security, or the right to insert themselves into state visits. Harry, by contrast, abandoned his role six years ago, attacked his family, trashed everything the late Queen built, and spread false narratives that damaged the institution he grifts off. His comments to Chris Ship expose him as both ignorant and stupid — he wants all the privileges of royalty with none of the respect, loyalty, or restraint that actual working royals demonstrate.
He remains part of the royal family, yet he has destroyed every healthy relationship by his own actions and none of them can fully trust him. He is a chancer who is manipulating figures in the current government, desperately trying to force his way back after his Hollywood fantasies collapsed under the weight of his own glaring mediocrity. He struts about as though he alone invented charity, ignoring the countless celebrities and ordinary people who support good causes every day without demanding special treatment or moral lecturing rights. No one is stopping Harry from doing quiet philanthropy — except his own emotionally unintelligent need for cameras, cash, and superiority. He is not a diplomat; he is a liability, an undiplomatic clown who attacks the very people his father, the King, is travelling to the US to meet in order to repair vital UK-US relations. This is not the action of someone seeking genuine reconciliation. It’s the action of a bitter, envious enemy of our country who cannot be trusted.
Other royals have shown true class in stepping away. Prince Joachim of Denmark moved to the United States, secured a serious defence attaché role, extremely competent diplomat with broad knowledge of defence, not dumb basic word salad nonsense. He built a respectful life, and never trashed his family or country. Princess Madeleine of Sweden lives quietly in the US, raises her family, & supports causes without drama or demands. Japan’s Princess Mako renounced her title, moved to New York, took a normal museum job, and has lived with genuine humility. They all proved you can leave royal duty without waging war on your family or heritage. Harry could never manage that maturity because his ego, envy, and entitlement demand the life he forfeited when he and his wife chased Hollywood millions & constant attention.
His arrogant attempt to insert himself into King Charles’s important state visit to the US is peak entitlement — a spoilt brat throwing another tantrum because the world don’t like what they see and life no longer revolves around him. We neither need nor want him anywhere near the monarchy, the government, or Britain’s reputation abroad. True diplomacy is structured, peaceful advancement of national interests through dialogue, not conning access via Invictus for personal grievance tours & tone-deaf complaints in war zones. When mediocre people manufacture victim narratives to excuse their failures, the whole charade collapses. Some plebs are born mediocre, some achieve mediocrity, and some have mediocrity thrust upon them — Harry Prince of hypocrisy and entitlement has embraced all three with gusto. Britain is infinitely better off without this undiplomatic, untrustworthy liability.

Destabilise the UK. Undermine the HoS and his heir.
You probably saw the awful threads on here.

I can’t find it just now but an itinerary from the Whitehouse was posted on X - I noticed Wednesday was a free day. Maybe they just need a day of rest. Hopefully it won’t be wasted on a meet up with H which inevitably will be far from restful!
Also hope there is adequate (excellent!) security given the events of last night.

Thank you. And yes I did see the threads but never understood how ominous they were.

It looked as if the Keystone Cops were in charge.

Ominous indeed. Particularly about undermining William and spreading vile rumours about him and Kate. Some people believe it, and of course it's very undermining.
Someone on another thread recently posted that "William is well known for his violence" as if it was a fact.
Very worrying.

Ooh thank goodness the overwhelming pressure of the universe having it in for her has finally lifted and she can soar to new heights with the rest of the world understanding how very, very fortunate we are that she walks amongst us!

She and Harry are both so frustrated that they can’t force “the world” into the admiration and awe that they both believe they truly deserve for being such wonderful people.

Neither of them are capable of the slightest bit of humility and self reflection.

It is funny though because they spent so long complaining about their voices being stifled in “the institution”, and as you say, 6 years later with full control over their own narrative funnily enough public opinion of them is worse than ever. It must drive them mad.

Yes I've just been reading about the shooter at the Washington Hilton, ShamedBySiri - absolutely dreadful, though I suppose at least it's something that it wasn't at the actual White House, which hopefully has better security

I didn't know there was a "free day" for C&C though, and while it makes sense for people of their age/state of health I do hope i won't be used for anything unwise

Edited to add thanks for the update with the itinerary; certainly laying a wreath at Ground Zero sounds better than a meeting with Harry and I'm only surprised Harry hasn't done it himself (famous last words ...)

I don’t think many people, including most of Mumsnet, understand the extent to which social media is being used to push for social change. Pay per post communications are used to flood websites and I personally think Mumsnet is awash with it, I see in a variety of threads. Regarding the Royal threads I think republicans don’t so much waste their time presenting their argument - the preferred method is to undermine the royal family and the royal board here is the perfect medium.

There is a company called 411 communications used by the Labour Party (I don’t quite understand the Israeli connection but that’s another matter) who are paid to push their agenda. For instance regarding the budgets and taxation I find it unlikely and unrealistic how many Mumsnetters will pop up to say they are proud and pleased to pay lots of tax, indeed happy to pay lots more because blah blah. Clearly paid posters imo.

There are undoubtedly lots of other similar outfits doing the same thing, pushing whatever agenda someone will pay them to push.
