PR disasters of Meghan and Harry.

Left off at the last page with Meg selling candles to people who want to know what her young children smell like. She’s also using the kids full titles in the press release….just for a dash of extra exploitation.

As you were

The thing with the 100m figure is that it has always been messed around with.

It started as a rumoured $100m, then got translated to £100m.

But even if it was $100m, and even though that would include, as quoted above, at LEAST $40m production costs, that would still be subject to delivery.

It will have included the interview series for sure - let's say that was 20m (inc. costs) of the deal. Let's say WLM was another 10m (inc. costs). Then all the rest 10m together (inc. costs). That would be 40m minus costs (apr. 16m say). A big payday, yes.

But not anywhere near a 100m dollars, let alone 100m pounds.

I wonder what we have in store from Montecito when C&C make their state visit

Harry really needs to learn when to keep quiet. If he wants to lose their titles I reckon mouthing off about global political situations & lecturing the US is a quicker way of doing it than faux royal tours. I just don't think he has the sense he was born with. Nor has he clocked he used to be able to prince about saying (vetted) things because he was part of the WRF. Harry those days are gone because you made it so. But on he goes.

Agree totally, @BasiliskStare - with the entire post but especially the part above. Making a tricky US/UK diplomatic scene worse isn't going to endear him to anyone.

Nothing to do with it being Prince George’s birthday then?
He’s absolutely determined to butt in isn’t he? Can’t bear being out of the limelight/press. Attention seeking prat.

Louis birthday. . Not George's

If H thought having Putin on a podcast to discuss childhood trauma and how it made P what he is today was a good idea , why would he now think Putin would listen to him. "Crikey , you're right H . All those heads of state and Prime ministers, nah , but now you say it ..." 😂

Was the security conference anything to do with Invictus? The DM reports H - "He told ITV News that his visit is 'to remind people back home and around the world what Ukraine is up against and to support the people and partners doing extraordinary work every hour of every day in incredibly tough conditions."

Edit to remove hyperlinked "ITV" in above quote which came up with a DM article about Cat Deeley's jumpsuit. I reckon Putin's as likely to listen to Cat Deeley's jumpsuit as H , though , so perhaps not as random as I thought

Oh my god, that was hilarious! He was going to interview Putin to find out what happened, why he turned out the way he did, when he (Harry) had a terrible time, but turned out well, as a campaigner and humanitarian 😂.
Honestly
You couldn't make it up.

Just because he forgot about Ukraine doesn't mean the rest of us did.

On another subject, Richard Eden is consistently out of step with what other journalists are saying.

I know it’s weird.

I think it’s either he’s been convinced by one of his ‘sources’ and is now doubling down despite it not making any logical sense.

Or he likes stirring up the issue to create content.

I think all the tabloids would love a Harry return to pit the Sussexes against the Waleses - would create gossipy content for years.

Sickening, arrogant twat!
yes let’s piss of Putin ( while putting the target on the U.K.) and ask trump to step in ( and probably goad him into giving Ukraine to his buddy Putin for the sake of peace )

What a deluded cock ! 🙄

These are the nations/teams/who knows what they are or who they actually represent, eligible to compete in Invictus 2027 in Birmingham, UK.

  • Afghanistan (Team AFG)
  • Australia (Team AUS)
  • Belgium (Team BEL)
  • Brazil (Team BRA)
  • Canada (Team CAN)
  • Colombia (Team COL)
  • Denmark (Team DEN)
  • Estonia (Team EST)
  • France (Team FRA)
  • Georgia (Team GEO)
  • Germany (Team GER)
  • Iraq (Team IRQ)
  • Israel (Team ISR)
  • Italy (Team ITA)
  • Jordan (Team JOR)
  • Lithuania (Team LTU)
  • Netherlands (Team NED)
  • New Zealand (Team NZL)
  • Nigeria (Team NGR)
  • Poland (Team POL)
  • Republic of Korea (Team KOR)
  • Romania (Team ROM)
  • Ukraine (Team UKR)
  • United Kingdom (Team UK)
  • United States (Team U.S.)
  • "Unconquered" (Team UNC - international team)

How can 'Team AFG (Afghanistan)' represent Afghanistan and the current country? Who is in the team? Who sponsors them? Should it be called 'Team AFG' at all? Are they not 'Team NATO Against The Taliban', with a clear political mission? Same question of some of the other countries with whom NATO and the UK & allies have a sticky diplomatic relationship.

Harry is incapable of handling this brief, if he even understands it, as evidenced by his current trip to Ukraine (the UK, US and Ukraine are all Invictus members) and recent jaunt in Jordan (Jordan and Israel are both Invictus members).

Put this way, Invictus always had a shelf life.

I mean, if Eurovision are struggling with the fact that some of their members are at war as a (theoretically) apolitical song contest, how could a charity endeavour aimed at the outcome of the ultimate political act possibly survive?

Invictus came about when there was a big interest in veterans, Help for Heroes etc. People tend to view the whole thing a lot more cynically these days.

I know someone who has competed in games for cancer survivors. I believe it was UK only. But it's not that hard to be anti-cancer. The veterans issue always had the issue of whether or not the war was "just" in the first place, live wars, and anti-war in general.

BasiliskStare · Today 16:51

@PoppysAunt Exactly ! This came from the Vanity Fair Article a year last January - re ideas for podcasts "As Bloomberg reported, Harry wanted to host a series where he interviewed powerful men with complicated stories, like Mark Zuckerberg , Vladimir Putin, and Donald Trump. The concept wasn’t just that the men shared challenging early lives; it was that their experiences made them into sociopaths, or so Harry envisioned, one person familiar with the ideation process says. (The person who worked in media confirms there was a “sociopath podcast.”) The person who worked closely with the couple on audio projects recalls Harry saying, “I have very bad childhood trauma. Obviously. My mother was essentially murdered. What is it about me that didn’t make me one of these bad guys?” To implore a season’s worth of world-famous sociopaths to talk about how they developed sociopathy would be what is referred to in access journalism as “a booking challenge.”

PoppysAunt · Today 16:54

@BasiliskStare that's just hilarious, isn't it?!
Good lord.

PoppysAunt · Today 16:56

How fortunate he didn't become a "bad guy".
Just someone who abused drugs and alcohol, treated women badly, didn't respect privacy, trashed his family for money on the world stage...

Interviewing Putin. Ffs, I always assumed that was a pisstake 🙄 what a ridiculous man Harry is.

BasiliskStare · Today 17:00

@PoppysAunt Quite so. I just love the way his idea is dryly referred to as a "booking challenge" . H has no idea of his true importance , having had everything sorted out for him for most of his life. & BTW H , stop telling us all your mother was "essentially murdered." A great deal of public money went into an enquiry which proved she wasn't. This is bad PR Harry . It makes you look like a swivel eyed foil hatted loon.

@BasiliskStare harry under sells himself. His nasty vindictive personality is sociopathic but he doesn't have the money, position or power to cause the trouble Putin and trump can. He is such a twat as if either P or T would give him the time of day to share Harry's waaaaaaugh over William getting the extra sausage ffs. Harry can only meddle, upset and annoy his family, thank god.
Lol will make Charles/trump meeting a bit spicy 😂😂😂😂 I don't know anything about trumps kids but I bet he wouldn't stand for Harry's twattery, he might want to give Charles some parenting tips!

Don’t forget, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed on the record to Vanity Fair that the $100m figure was not the case. From the American Hustle article:
“(According to a representative for Netflix, “We don’t disclose our financial deals with talent, but I can confirm to you on the record that the $100M figure is not correct.”)”
