PR Disasters of the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued :

  • So far we have Meg using charity events/sick children/vulnerable adults to merch her fashion, with the launch of her new fashion platform
  • She will be appearing on MasterChef Australia
  • Harry claiming to have had therapy when Archie was born, even though he never sought MH help for his ill wife a few short months earlier.

He seems exceptionally dim witted. Did Diana say he wasn't very bright?? He's blatantly contradicting himself during public speaking etc. Perhaps he is undiagnosed neurodivergent? Forgive my armchair psychoanalysis 😂. Also I remember meghan saying he has such a child like wonder. What a bizarre thing to say about your husband and not at all complimentary

Also, have a look at the impact of long term cannabis use.

I always thought that the September meeting was some sort of test to see whether harry could keep his gob shut - and within a few hours he proved he couldn't with a petulant "I can say what I want" clapback.

It explains the idea of Harry spending time at Sandringham this summer being dismissed because of Harry's lack of discretion;
"If Harry truly wishes to see his father, he would do well to encourage his supporters to allow such matters to be discussed privately, since low trust and bitter experience in this regard remains one of the principal barriers to progress."
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/king-charles-harry-meghan-sandringham-security-b2948349.html

Yes you are right, I think it was testing the waters. Possibly under the advice of Meredith as she could see where things were heading with Netflix etc. As I said above, I don’t think Harry wants anything short of Charles and William prostrating themselves at his feet and begging forgiveness. But I also think Harry will always move the goalposts because he’s so comfortable in his victim state - nothing will be good enough, he’ll always want something else from them, and they will always be failing him. He can’t help himself. Shooting his mouth off (again) was possibly a “right back at you” test for Charles. Harry’s too dumb to understand the need to reconcile is pretty much one sided.

Didn't attendees have to sign NDAs for the event? And were scanned on arrival to ensure they didn't have phones or recording devices?

Therefore we can be sure that anyone speaking and using their full name has had their comments pre-approved by Meghan's PR team

What happens if someone breaks the NDA ? The information is already out there . Asking as there is a poster on X claiming to have been there and giving info .

Absolutely. In some men who started on the strong THCs in adolescence it has caused a mental state that is in the ballpark of being the intellectual equivalent of brain damage.

Harry wasn’t the sharpest tool in the box to start with. I think he is actually pretty impaired now, especially around memory function.

Also paranoia.

“She converted a room of people who came in going, ‘I’m not sure what to expect’.”

Surely most people who pay hundreds or even thousands to attend such an event are already pretty well converted. What an odd thing to say.

I had a friend who was mired in a cult MLM. She'd go away on these type of retreats with the company, and come back spouting this sort of nonsense.

That's an absolute masterclass in putting positive PR spin on a disappointing event.

You have to admire it really.

I think the:
Also said, ‘some’ had paid thousands to be in the room. Eh? Shouldn’t that be all? Otherwise it does look to be true that they gave out free/cut price tickets.
Actually I'd go further in questioning this. "Some" implies to me not just not all, but not a majority. If it was more, I'd have expected "Many had paid thousands" or "Most had paid thousands".

It reminds me of when I was at school and a local school who had generally dire results but was desperately putting PR out to try and boost their failing 6th form, put out an article about their star pupil who had gained three As at A-levels "despite only being at the school for two months".
Or as we pointed out probably because he'd only been at the school two months - ie he'd used them as an exam base and done no studying there.

TheAutumnCrow · 18/04/2026 08:08

Interesting, yes; but toward the last week or two of posting her script started to seem more like manifesting and insistence (re: the alleged ‘thaw’ plan), rather than trying to take the temperature of public opinion and subtly influence it. It ended up being not so subtle, I felt - perhaps more of a modest sledgehammer.

Just my opinion, but I think the biggest risk factor to the Sussex circus (including its expensive PR machine) hasn’t even happened yet, and will come in the form of Sentebale’s planned exposure of the (alleged) ‘Sussex Squad’ paid troll army and potentially the principals’ role in funding it and orchestrating it.

This will be a PR disaster for a couple claiming to be ‘the most trolled’ and most invaded people ever. Don't dance with the devil if you can’t keep up with his music. You’ll certainly never get ahead of it.

That will be a really interesting case.

I wonder what the discovery will show.

Am I right in saying that it is not PH case? Sentable are bringing it against him? Does that mean that he will have to prove things?

I was listening to some commentator discussing whether they would settle out of court (which would be a great benefit/relief to Harry) or whether, as seems likely, Sophie is determined to have her day in court and release all the evidence she has clearly tucked away. Possibly Meghan (& Harry) aren’t the only people who like to nurse a grudge and get revenge.

I for one sincerely hope it goes the full distance and we get to hear it all. In fact, if it does go to court I might be tempted to take a trip to London and seek a seat in the public gallery. We should have a group meet up! 😂

DirtyGertyy · 18/04/2026 17:26

I remember the very interesting and informed poster who I think was writing a book, maybe African or of African heritage - seemed to be traveling a lot - then stopped posting. Very pro H&M but strong arguments - often thought is was Scobie in disguise but doubt he had that intellectual capacity.

There's an article in The Times today repeating some of the slurs against her. The BTL comments (when I last looked, early afternoon) are very much of the she's-an-angry-corrupt-grifter. In a paper where BTL commenters generally don't have much time for H at all. But they believe he is the injured party in thus matter.

She - and the charity she now runs - have had their reputation badly hurt, among Times readers at least. I hope all the stuff H did that Bower documented all gets brought out into the light for a wider audience.

I'd post a link, but don't know how to on my tablet.

Seems to have come to terms with it now.

Are they 'regular names', I wonder - or have they recently joined in order to comment? The latter's a classic H&M tactic, it has been alleged; in which case Sentebale are bang on the money (assuming the charity has clear-cut evidence).

@MarmaladeorJam the libel law of the jurisdiction of England & Wales does tend to put the Respondent(s) on the back foot (which is why London has been called the 'libel capital of the world'). While Claimants are expected to provide a reasonable case from the get-go, equally the Respondent(s) are expected to mount a defence. So H and MD will have to do some work - i.e. apply for strike-out, provide statements, and supply evidence, even if hoping for a settlement. They can't just stick their heads in the sand.

Further, some of H and MD's potential witnesses may not want to get involved. Can you imagine Meghan and Prince Seeiso agreeing to appear in court in London? No, me neither.

No. I think this event is unlikely to have broken even if Meghan takes the reported £120k fee.

I recognise some names, who are regular H&M defenders. The other posters - I couldn't say whether they are regular posters, or newly minted for the article. The Tines don't make it easy to poster, though. You have to be a subscriber, with a proven email address, and a namevthat matches the email address.

I have noticed, though, in articles on the Sentebale thing, that posters adopt the position that black Africans running charities are all corrupt. The BTL comments on this article, and others on the subject, demonstrate the damage H and Dower have done to Dr S and Sentebale.
