PR Disasters of the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued :

  • So far we have Meg using charity events/sick children/vulnerable adults to merch her fashion, with the launch of her new fashion platform
  • She will be appearing on MasterChef Australia
  • Harry claiming to have had therapy when Archie was born, even though he never sought MH help for his ill wife a few short months earlier.

"On Thursday, Prince Harry appeared as a guest speaker at Melbourne’s InterEdge Summit – where delegate tickets were on sale for £525, platinum tickets for £1,250, and a virtual ticket offering on-demand access to the Duke’s speech at £260."
I haven't been taking enough notice - when Harry talked about his trauma etc, then Meghan got her turn with the mike to talk about being the most trolled ever - was that at the InterEdge Summit, where Harry was a paid speaker? Did Meghan just join in as well even though she wasn't the booked/paid speaker?

How odd. But predictable - she can't let a good mike opportunity pass.

MrsLeonFarrell · 16/04/2026 22:51

I don't find that Richard Eden is a reliable source for what is going on. I think The Telegraph article sounds far more accurate. The palace would like Harry and Megan to make their own money and stop relying on scandal. I doubt very much that Charles would do anything without William's agreement either.

BasiliskStare · 16/04/2026 21:55

@AtIusvue Thank you for that article
From it "Another insider added: “Grifting is one thing, but carrying out a faux royal visit to a children’s hospital while flogging your outfits online appears to have crossed a line.”
Dare we hope here all talks of getting them back into the fold might stop or perhaps even someone might have a stern word with them (which they would obviously ignore)
I can see the RF would rather they weren't relying on dishing the dirt to earn money. But they surely after all this time no longer have any meaningful dirt to dish. But hawking your outfits on visits to charities or hospitals etc , even KC must be able to see what appalling judgement his darling boy & wife have.

If it is true , though that these are comments from genuine BP insiders , that gives me a glimmer of hope we aren't going to get the gruesome twosome back in the WRF fold.

Hopefully this will prompt the palace to take the Meghans off the royal website, that links directly to Archewell and from there, to the Sussexes' commercial enterprises. If BP agree they have crossed the line, then they need to stop being complicit in providing them with the prestige and legitimacy of direct royal association.

I didn’t know they were on the royal website!

Christian Dior iridescent black leather high heels, although they appear to have already sold out at $120 (£89) a pair.

Christian Dior leather high heels certainly don’t cost £89 a pair! They range from £750 to £1200 a pair

so what’s that all about then?

Yes they are, and that’s why, when posters say the Palace are helpless to stop the gruesome twosome, some of us get annoyed as here is one simple thing they could do with just the press of a button.

Indianrollerbird · 17/04/2026 00:33

She was flashing that t-shirt on the Scar Tree Walk, which is an important Aboriginal heritage trail. She’s disgusting.

She is so bad at pretending to be interested in the person talking to her, whilst checking out where the camera is and pushing her coat open to advertise the t-shirt she's wearing. I guess she just can't multi-task.

Her acting is really abysmal! It’s no wonder she didn’t progress higher in her career!

That's what I immediately thought when I read that post. I'm guessing they are a pair she has owned for years and that was the last sale price on them, or maybe posted used on ebay or similar? Its not like AI would understand that, it just scoured websites and put them up for sale?

canklesmctacotits · 17/04/2026 03:26

OH. MY. GOD.

I have just watched the first two episodes of Beef (which has been on my list for months and months because the first season was such excellent TV and I’ve been looking out for the next as soon as they announced it would be renewed. It’s totally unrelated to this season, and if you haven’t watched it you should! Excellent writing and performances).

This is the most EPIC trolling of Meghan Markle!! And it’s brazen and it’s fucking DELICIOUS!! I’ve thought about whether I’m looking for something that isn’t there because of these threads and the disproportionate interest I have in MM, but I’m definitely not. There are too many coincidences, too many details, just enough differences. Ooof - if this isn’t a lesson to not piss off or lord it over people who have done you a good deed/deal, I don’t know what is.

For those who don’t know, it’s a story about a British woman (Carey Mulligan) and her husband who are the interior designer for and GM (respectively) of a country club in Montecito. Never heard the town referenced in any American show before, and it’s not a slip - they’re referencing it to place the action immediately. First few seconds of the first episode and they name check it and follow up with a reference to Lucky’s, show the view, something else I’ve forgotten, and the camera pans over that classic Santa Barbara / faux Spanish whitewashed architecture and manicured lawns full of plastic shiny people all overlooking the Pacific Ocean at sunset. You know exactly what you’re going to get (if you’re familiar with California) straight away.

The story quickly unfolds: on the surface the couple seem in love and happily working together. Behind closed doors their marriage is falling apart, they’re fighting and arguing and telling each other they hate each other etc etc. She’s egging him on to do more and be more after things go south for her career-wise, berating him for having let her down and given up on their dream. He’s plodding along quite unambitiously, occasionally getting high, hanging out with people he can’t afford to hang out with and getting into debt thinking they’re friends and he can keep up with them etc. More story, other characters emerge and these two turn out to be lying grifters and scammers, in a seedy world full of lying grifters and scammers surrounded by rich people with actual money who are arrogant and obnoxious and snooty but who have actual wealth and who Carey and her DH desperately love/hate.

I won’t go into more as don’t want to spoil it, and I’ve only watched the first two episodes so it could all change and come good for Varey’s character - but MY GOD!! The BALLS on Sarandos to invite MM and Harry to the cast party last week, to which she AND ONLY SHE turned up wearing chartreuse like Carey Mulligan 😂🤣😂🤣. This is trolling on a scale normally reserved for rappers with, well, beef with each other (god this is so good!) but hats off to Sarandos and his wife!! This is an absolutely top notch “fuck you” from Netflix in the form of a glossy and beautifully observed and written piece of comedic fiction. Like, they’ve gone out of their way and put actual effort and money into setting her up. I’m sure it wasn’t the purpose of the show, it’s excellent without any of these allusions - I think it’ll end up being an acute observation of the fakery of Californian high society - and totally stands on its own. But that just makes this all the more clever. This is pure 👌. I just bet Sarandos suggested inviting Meghan to that party with a “shall we?? Is it too obvious? Is it too much?” and then deciding to fuck it and decide what goes around comes around. Hahahaha!!

I thought they’d been removed years ago! I don’t read the Royal website though.

Recklessismymiddlename · 17/04/2026 06:33

For me this Australia trip is a step too far. They need to remove the titles.

Her acting is really abysmal! It’s no wonder she didn’t progress higher in her career!

People who say ‘Oh they had it all, they could have been amazing/ look what they threw away’ don’t seem to get this. They were a disaster on all fronts . Harry quite openly admits he hates it all and didn’t want it. She was only ever out for herself and that was blatantly obvious. Neither of them had the qualities to be an asset to the RF. They were a massive liability.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 17/04/2026 06:40

Well, at least given his renewed moaning on this trip about not wanting to be royal, the RF can cheerfully say, 'Well that's just ducky. We won't be having you back, then. Jog on.'

I wonder about Harry saying he hated it though. I'm the years he was doing engagements with the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge he assisted to having a lovely time. I'm not sure he is that good of an actor to be faking it.

I think Harry is furious because, as someone who never acknowledges anyone else's input, he thought he clothes carry on doing what he did with acclaim and adoration. In reality he is lost without the men in grey suits he despises so much organising everything and curating his image.

Harry has openly said that truth is what he feels about events and I think he is projecting his current anger onto his past.

They should definitely remove them from the website, until these threads I think i thought they'd already gone.

They, or rather the government, can also let it be known behind the scenes that they don't rate diplomatic receptions and to be fair Heads of State seem to be giving them a swerve. My point was that you can't stop them from visiting places they are invited to, although i do believe after the the quality of invited is going to drop off. The merching off sick children is a terrible mistake.

That is so funny, she is so bad 😂😂, it’s like a realllly bad skit.

I agree with those who say the merching clothes immediately after a photo opportunity with very ill children is so callous, it also emphasizes how indifferent they are to emotional and tragic situations, Its unbelievable they accepted sick kids being lined up for them.

I wonder how long they spent at the hospital?

AtIusvue · 17/04/2026 07:08

Why do disaster tourism for free?

Just think of the outfits she could have merched from the LA Fires or the Ulvade shooting!
