PR Disasters of the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued :

  • So far we have Meg using charity events/sick children/vulnerable adults to merch her fashion, with the launch of her new fashion platform
  • She will be appearing on MasterChef Australia
  • Harry claiming to have had therapy when Archie was born, even though he never sought MH help for his ill wife a few short months earlier.

@TheAutumnCrow thank you. I’ve never given any of that subject and substance and I won’t start now.

TheAutumnCrow · 16/04/2026 17:01

And to add: on a visit to Birkenhead when she was pregnant with A, the wind caught Meghan’s dress and it made it look for a moment like something was there under her dress round her knees. But I presume she walked off to the car, so there can’t have been.

The surrogate believers like ‘Lady C’ on You Tube think it might have been a fake bump to simulate a pregnant appearance.

I don’t think so, as you’ll have gathered.

And in other news there are rumours some of the parents from the children's hosp were.less than impressed and may consider legal action !

I doubt anything will happen. It would be fabulous of one of them could actually go on camera and say they are unhappy about what occurred. That won't happen either. (I'll be delighted to be proven wrong.)

Ooooo where did you see that? I hope it’s true! I can not get over the way those kids were exploited.

You’re really struggling with this thread aren’t you? Why exactly are you here?

Shift hasn't finished yet

It'll be like the woman in the wheelchair. They'll be persuaded to go on record to the press saying they didn't mind at all.

Harry didn't present any evidence to support his accusations of leaking stories.

What journalists have said is that it is common practice, for anyone in the public eye, to try to barter one story about themselves with another that is more flattering. I'm sure that goes on in the palace as with any other famous person. But if we are going to say that family members leak against each other, as Harry claimed, there needs to be evidence.

I've always felt that Harry tends to assume what he does is being also done to him.
So if he leaks stories to the press, then he assumes that others are leaking stories about him. He assumes that because he's found it satisfying and easy to do, so he assumes others will do it too for the same reasons.
It's also his way of justifying it to himself.

I found it particularly a trait of people who have low moral compass. A bit like the threads on here where people ask if others would keep the £50 found in the charity shop bag. Most people say "of course not", but there's a fair minority who say along the lines of "of course I'd keep it, and anyone who says otherwise is lying".

I didn't see it, I was quoting another poster. I don't think it will happen.

I agree. He always tells on himself with his assumptions.

I'll just add though that, Daily Beast journalist, Tom Sykes, has asked H&M's people why the kids were all in the atrium waiting for H&M like an airport lounge greeting, and the Meghans' reps have said it was the hospital's decision to do that. So they are already passing the buck. Sykes said this would just not have happened on an official royal tour.

He's just been having a discussion about this tour with journalist and Harry fan, Emily Andrews, if you are interested. On his YouTube channel. Neither are in any doubt that this is a de facto "royal" tour.

‘Meghan surrogate conspiracy’ or similar, I expect.

Personally I find it all a bit mental but the gruesome twosome’s bizarre pronouncements about Archie (pregnancy, alleged suicidality, unlikely birth tales, lack of bonding, therapy, tears on the floor etc) will be grist the mill of those who think something is shonky. Sigh.

That is quite dismissive of wbhat happened there.

The Birkenhead footage - there is video of it, but hard to find - shows something quiet weird going on. H point to M's bump as they start the visit. Her abdomen then gets flatter and flatter and some undergarment goes south.

Look it up, make up your own minds. I don't know what to make of it.

But the really weird thing is that MSM ignore it, when much lesser sartorial oddities get the full Sidebar of Shame treatment.

wordler · 16/04/2026 18:19

I suspect that Meghan used padding or some sort of shape wear to enhance her bump occasionally depending on how it looked in different dresses because there was some big differences in shape and size within a short period of time.

It’s much more likely to be vanity - because not everyone gets one of those perfect cute bumps - than a surrogate.

I think you have hit the nail on the head here!!
almost every accusation from Harry and Meghan could be a confession of their own behaviour!!

There has been speculation that Meghan simply used a moonbump? Is it? To simply enhance her existing pregnancy bump! , apparently this is a thing to make it more aesthetically pleasing! Who knew 🤷‍♀️

Valentine Low was on royal rota duty that day. His Times headline: "April baby for Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan lets slip."

I am not arguing that it is evidence of a surrgacy, but asking why such weird footage is not out there being mocked and dissected.

No idea!! I think this a lot about many of the things they get up to!!! That twerking video was awful! Clearly staged after the event! , you could clearly see the misshapen cloth stuffed up her dress! But not a word from mainstream media! 🤷‍♀️

flapjackfairy · 16/04/2026 18:59

the rumours of parents not being happy were on various Facebook sites. No.idea if they are credible but there is a backlash for sure as that meme shows

AtIusvue · 16/04/2026 19:02

Just had a look at the one off fashion platform and what it’s about. It says, it’s for Gen Z and younger millennials (who dress like Gen Z) and how they like to shop.

Meg is an old Millennial, just missing the cut off for Gen X. Her choices aren’t fashion forward and we’ve see god how many disasters.

A twenty something, is not going to look at Megs walkabout outfit- of a Mac, flared jeans, white trainers and graphic t shirt and want to copy that! It’s a mid forties mum going tothe supermarket look!

They also only have 18k Instagram followers. So this sad money making venture….isnt going to earn her a thing.

This photo must be for an event for tonight. No Gen Z would wear a nude pointed stiletto!

I think even though certain elements of the press love to wax lyrical about pregnancy bumps even they draw the line at mocking or being critical of them.
I absolutely hate the way they chunter on about bumps and wish they’d stop. It’s the equivalent of strangers/colleagues/whoever thinking they have the right to touch or pat women’s abdomens the minute they are pregnant. Hands off I say and lay off the comments too.

The surrogacy stuff is so ridiculous I’ve never bothered to comment before. But the law in the UK is that the (surrogate) mother is registered as the birth mother and it’s necessary to have a court agree a Parental Order to transfer parenthood from the surrogate mother to the commissioning parents at least six weeks after the birth and within six months (with the agreement of the surrogate mother).
It simply wouldn’t be possible for this to be done in secret in the UK. Archie’s birth certificate is a matter of public record.

AtIusvue · 16/04/2026 19:05

Also not ironed. Straight out the suitcase 🤦‍♀️
