When people knew about Andrew and Epstein, but before the police got involved and he was chucked out of Royal Lodge, the focus was on the misdeeds of Harry znd Meghan, with very little said about Andrew.

By whom?! There's always been a lot said about AMW!

I've always had tge impression that there was more zbout H&M because they're an easier target but I may have read different sources to yours.

TheAutumnCrow · 15/04/2026 17:06

Interesting times though, with the 'what about Andrew?' deflection tactic no longer working for the South Saxon Platoon.

What has actually now happened to Andrew perhaps serves as a warning that titles, styles and honours can and will be removed one way or another.

Meanwhile Harry has the RAVEC decision-yet-to-come, the ANL judgement-in-waiting, and the Sentebale legal action to occupy his mind. I also hope some journalists are motivated to dig into his time in Afghanistan, and his violence against others while insulated from consequences by his goons.

On MN or in the UK press?
Every time a thread was started on MN, everyone agreed about what kind of man he is.
They tended to be short lived.
Also, he became quite low profile so didn't feed it, people just wrote the same things.
There was plenty talked and written about him, though.

Yes. Good points.

In the UK press. That would explain our difference in perception.

(Apologies for previous typos. Too late to correct them 😐)

🤣

In all seriousness, they better not go koala bothering. Those little cuties are drugged up to the eyeballs on eucalyptus, they don’t need the Meghans killing their buzz.

I don’t think the koalas could afford to see them. The wombats might access to funds though.

@BigWillyLittleTodger
"Thanks for that I’ve often wondered if anyone at the Palace read what people actually think such as threads like these or if they rely on the media headlines, the Palace are utter fools if they allow this to continue."
So how do the RF stop it?
The titles can be removed, but what if H & M continue to use their titles just as they continue to use HRH?
As far as I can see, the RF can 'officially' remove the titles, but the only other leverage they have is to remove H&M from the RF website. (which I wish they would do).

Ladies! Please, please 🙏 for the love of all that is holy can we please not drag Andrew in to atleast one thread? , im heartily sick of hearing about him , seeing his objectionable face and being expected to excuse h and ms behaviour because it’s not as bad!!!
edited to add “not as bad yet” ! Because we didn’t know about Andrew ( there were rumours) until it came out! And frankly we don’t know about Harry or Meghan ( there are plenty of rumours!) until we do!

UK press covered Andrew.

The UK press did cover Andrew but a few years ago, there were countless articles about Harry and Meghan and fewer about Andrew. Harry and Meghan make better copy as they reveal so much. Articles about Andrew were more difficult because of the legal aspects.

Really? I always got the impression that there was a huge amount of mainstream media noise and pressure over Andrew and demands for accountability, which were delivered and hopefully will continue to be delivered. Whereas most of the noise about H&M has been on SM, with mainstream commentators either giving them a free pass or actively supporting them. As @atlusview said on her thread, they are constantly failing upwards and bouncing back, with the press fawning over them. That’s why, imo, members of the public are more exasperated, because they can see the harm being caused/played out by H&M and nothing being done about it. It’s happening with H&M in real time when (the public feels) action can be taken to prevent it; versus Andrew’s misdeeds that are in the past, and so while he absolutely needs to be held accountable, he can’t be stopped from doing harm because he’s already done the harm.

The print press is in the business of making money so they watch what ‘sells’ and do more of that.

It’s a sad reflection on society that gossipy stuff draws eyeballs more than serious issues. The thing that trumps gossip is scandal.

Until there was specific action around Andrew there was little to be gained in a commercial sense for regurgitating what we already knew.

When there was new scandal around him then you get a flurry of reports each time - the Newsnight interview, avoiding the FBI, the payoff, the Epstein files, the expulsion from Royal Lodge etc.

But in between those stories about him are not very sellable -particularly as he’s both not very photogenic and he’s not polarizing.

Meghan creates lots of great images and video which is good for online, and she and Harry are very polarizing which is great for filling comment sections with people arguing - which is good for clicks.

Naughty, naughty! 🤣 don’t make me post a note about the topic of the thread! 😉

All sadly true. Only The Guardian and, occasionally The Times and Channel 4, are covering the serious stories about the Royal family - the duchies, the IHT exemption, the ability to pre-approve legislation. The obsequiousness of the Royal rota is alarmingly close to what I imagine waste thoughless adoration of the medieval masses.
