I don't think Charles is being enough credit here. He has refused to see Harry whilst the security court case was in progress. His sources are briefing that Harry needs to stop leaking if he wants to see his father The late Queen wrote to RAVEC asking for security for Harry and kept allowing him to attend things. It was only William and Charles insisting that the Sandringham summit happened. Charles is non confrontationally keeping them at arms length until they behave in a more discreet way about family matters.

How about a robust statement issued pronto through the Australian High Commission: This pair of grifters are not on a royal tour! We (the UK government) do not endorse this. Watch out for flying teacups!

One difficulty (as I understand it) has been that historically the RF and UK government haven't been quite on the same page when it comes to the Sussexes.

The Labour government, in my opinion, fell for the Sussex story of 'bright young things' who would be modernisers, which allied with the Labour republican agenda, and tended to support them. It also suited them to be on the vocal 'anti-racist' side.

Where the government stands currently I couldn't say.

💐

Same with me. There were 3 of us, including an off duty police woman. None of us were lying. There was a lot of evidence discounted because of police mishandling in our case.

Edited

"Police mishandling" was what scuppered my case, too.

The guy was known to the police. He had been picked up a few nights before he accosted me, straight out of jail, and mug-shotted.

I reported him the evening of the encounter, went down to the police station and picked his mug-shot out of the massive folders they gave me to look through.

The policeman in charge did a "oh,yeah, him" thing, then went and got the mug-shot they'd taken a few nights before and showed it to me, a kind-of just-out-of-interest thing. I confirmed that was him, and that was the jacket he was wearing when he accosted me. That - the policeman directing my attention to a specific mug-shot - was all it took to get it thrown out on a technicality.

I looked the guy's name up a year-or-so ago. The first hit was a link to an article about him being found not guilty of flashing at a bus stop. 40 years he's been at it.

But, yeah, innocent.

Self preservation is not cowardly, Jeff. No woman should feel compelled to put herself through being treated like I was, and many women are, by the institutions that are supposed to protect us. The police were hopeless throughout, and their mistakes led to the verdict in my case. I wish I hadn't bothered. 💐for you too.

In future I wouldn't bother. It is always a trade-off, especially historically (even recent history - I am not that old) when women were expected to accept a degree of man-handling, and blamed for leading him on if it went to far.

Indianrollerbird · 14/04/2026 13:21

@Rhaidimiddim it was a series of cockups in my case, but ultimately some CCTV evidence of him following me was thrown out. His MO with one of the other two women was almost identical to mine, and she looked like me. And the jury didn't believe his third victim, a policewoman, who was left a complete mess, poor woman, and totally unsupported by her force. He had a previous conviction for SA (which I found out after the trial). Totally innocent that one 🙄

Very balanced coverage from Victoria Ward in The Telegraph. So far, modest clothing, comments that they are very relaxed and 'call me Meg'. They are on their best behaviour. Will it last?

Justdancevance · 14/04/2026 14:09

The sludge outfit is a horrible colour
It makes her look like a giant gallstone 😁

I expect they didn't want to cause disruption in the airport with their godlike appearance. 😉 You know - the same reason as to why they are not doing a walk about. Too much disruption to ongoing life there . Too many fanz.

Was quite surprised to read they flew Business Class .

She's trialling her outfits for her Summer holidays in Balmoral.
