Not getting the rapturous welcome she believes she is entitled to if she was out and about would not go down well with her at all and, heaven forbid, if she hears anyone booing it would likely bring on a meltdown. I don’t think she would risk it. As we already know there has been vetting of attendees of the ‘fireside chat’ .

It’s more disingenuous lying and smoke-screening about security from a couple happy to flounce around Nigeria, Colombia, Ukraine and Middle East. It’s embarrassing that they think the general public have forgotten!

The Ulvalde PR trip was my hard out of any sympathy I had for Meghan - you don’t use dead children for publicity.

Well that’s one PR disaster avoided. At least Harry and Meg never got their pic with Katy Perry at the party! It’s quite shocking what she’s accused of!

I do get sick of seeing them described as “the Sussexes”. If MM is set on a family name, they have one. It’s Mountbatten-Windsor.

I tend to think it’s because they are concerned that William will remove their titles so they want to retain some sort of continuity.

Actually, for me it wasn't even the curtsey that was the worst thing (as I do actually think she was trying - and failing - to be self-deprecating there but it landed wrong). It was the comment she made just before when she related how Harry had told her she needed to curtsey and she replied, "and I thought it was a joke." She almost spat out the word 'joke,' indicating her absolute disdain for the protocol and a complete lack of respect for the Queen.

But if they didn't have the titles, the Sussex name would make no sense. It would just seem really sad and desperate. How would they explain why they felt the need to call themselves Sussex when they have zero link to the county? It would be like if Princess Diana had changed her surname to Wales after the divorce!

A lot of the H and M’s actions make no sense but I imagine that they think that everyone associates them with Sussex . Remember M telling someone ( quite rudely) that she is Sussex now ?

I’m sure they are concerned, however if everyone colludes with them by referring to them on here and in the media by that name it helps their case for keeping it.

It makes me cross that they are visiting the Children's Hospital here in Melbourne.
Not far from where I live. The last celebrity visitor there a few weeks ago was Ed Sheeran who put on a surprise free concert in the foyer. There was lovely footage of parents, children and health professionals watching from the staircases with their faces absolutely lit up. I hate to think of H and M using the children for props in contrast to Sheeran who was being generous with his time and skills.

Yes @StartupRepair what are they going to bring to the hospital? They are purely there to look good.

And it all kicks off tomorrow morning in Melbourne….so with that time difference from UK will be waking up to the shenanigans.

I sincerely hope parents refuse to allow their children to be props for these two disaster tourists. I'd wait til they were walking down the ward and then pull the curtains around the bed while loudly explaining why.

How? She’s serially unable to translate any of the negative PR noise to $$$$….if anything the chatter and ridicule is diminishing any residual value her brand still holds - so keep up the chatter !

I mean I do get it, it’s a cumbersome name, doesn’t trip off the tongue so easily, but that’s what MM signed up for. Harry was a Mountbatten-Windsor before he was a “Sussex”.
