The royal family

Royal helicopters and William

So, not seen any threads on this - the story broke at the start of the week that the two new helicopters the RF took ownership of at the start of last year have already flown the distance of twice round the world. Anne is the biggest user and the explanation has been to allow multiple engagements on the same day and to allow secure access to more remote locations.

But in that, there was a detail about Prince William, last year he took the helicopter 52 times between Kensington palace and their new windsor home. Now, this is only about an 1 hour drive. There are regular train services between central London and Windsor. While the headline focus has been on the multiple uses for engagements on the same day by Anne (which to be clear I don’t begrudge if that’s the only practical way to do it), this travelling between your two homes that aren’t that far apart by helicopter feels excessive for someone who’s work is supposed to be focussed on the environment.

Whilst I think there is no love anymore, I really doubt there will be any formal separation because that would be the final nail in the coffin for the monarchy and people will loose interest and call for an end to workshy kings and queens.

I don't think the public would care one way or another if they were to separate.

The greed, corruption, venality and downright laziness now being brought to light are what will do for the monarchy.

Sorry but if the royal family can survive Charles and Diana divorcing and then Charles marrying the universally hated OW, it could cope with William and Catherine separating. Especially as Catherine clearly doesn’t enjoy the limelight, actively avoids public engagements bar the bare minimum- she would disappear off with her money and not bother much with embarrassing the royals with good works with cameras in tow.

The gossip sites might be full of the idea they have split up but it’s not likely.

How do you know all of this? Oh wait you don't... you are giving your impression based on the few things you see in the press. 🙄

After linking what you have and now admitting to getting your information from hate subs peddling made up gossip, I don’t think any reasonable person on this forum, whether they be supportive of h and m or w and c , are going to set much store by your opinion.

Yup I agree - the lowest of the low speculation. We've seen all of this before on here previously.

Plenty of speculation about H&M divorcing that you also join in on...so if someone speculate about K&W divorcing whats the difference?

I have never said that I want Harry and Meghan to get divorced. I don't care. I think they will not get divorced. So think you will find I've never been gleeful about that prospect.

You can’t really know the full details of what is going on in other people’s marriages but the one thing you can tell about W and K is that they like each other - either that or they are the absolute best actors in the world.

Everything about their body language and micro expressions shows unity, harmony and respect for each other, alongside a lot of mutual sense of humour.

Anyone who’s been in a relationship for over 20 years as they have know that the ‘in love’ part deepens as the years go by but is different from the early days - but it deepens to something really special if - and this is the big if - you both still like and respect each other.

Also that deep love has to do a lot of heavy lifting at times across a long lasting relationship - it carries us over the hard times, the stressful experiences of grief or serious illness, the stress of kids etc.

The trolls on Reddit, celebitchy etc always sound to me like people who have never seen or experienced a happy long term relationship to understand the ebbs and flows and that it’s teamwork not romance that ultimately makes a partnership work.

Exactly. Those unhinged “fans” of a certain couple, along with the woman behind the stalker/hater site Celebitchy who’s bizarrely obsessed, really want a separation or divorce to be happening. They’ve been recycling the same rumors for years—claims of living apart, secret splits, and a whole buffet of conspiracy theories I won’t even get into.

William and Catherine in Scotland yesterday looking very happy together
