Will Andrew move to Abu Dhabi?

Although he is due to be rehoused on the Sandringham estate in the coming months, experts believe he may instead take up a previous offer from the billionaire ruler, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for him to live in one of his plush residences for free.

Royal expert Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, said at the weekend that the set-up would be "perfect" for Andrew. He told the Mail on Sunday: "He would be happy living somewhere where the media is muzzled, where he will still be treated as a senior royal and where he can easily live under the radar."

Part of me thinks good riddance and they’re welcome to him, but the thought of him being offered this luxury lifestyle and still being treated like a senior royal is sickening.

Andrew could vanish in move to palace abroad with 'Fort Knox-like security’

Andrew could be set to leave the UK in favour of a luxury £10million Abu Dhabi villa that boasts six bedrooms, a home cinema, indoor plunge pool and a gym - as well as tight security

What is in it for his host? When I say "host" I also mean that Andrew is a parasite.

For his host, a prized new possession of a former royal ?

The sensible thing for him to do would be to retire into obscurity on the Sandingham estate. He will therefore be on the first plane to the Middle East.

The Mirror have kept this story going today, just as you said - they are reporting that he's refusing to move to a free house in acres of land because it isn't luxurious enough for him. Disgusting arrogant pervert (Andrew - not LittleBearPad).

In other news, the US Department of Justice have confirmed they've only released 12k of documents with a further 2million being reviewed - they are holding some back for 'ongoing investigations' (which probably means finding and deleting any that mention Trump). The long slow poisoning of the Royal Family brand will continue for decades, probably even after his death.

Quite likely it was a money laundering exercise

A royal commentator on a tv programme the other day seemed to suggest that the daughters had bought the London mews house for their mother. If I recall it correctly, they had reached this conclusion because it was written in to the sales contract (?) that SF couldn’t sell it without their permission.

I suppose it would make sense if they are now selling this asset in order to buy SF a property elsewhere,

They sold it before all this broke at a loss. It came across as very dodgy. It was in Mayfair I believe

Which makes me think it was money laundering. Probably some of their dodgy Dubai money. The apples don’t fall far from the tree.

I hope he’ll enjoy Abu Dhabi summers. When we lived there I remember many days of over 50 deg C.

Oh, and the sea feels like hot soup, often alive with millions of minute baby jellyfish, and the sand is too hot to walk on without burning your feet.
