Flower sprinkles on everything. Could be used for Harry in a few months.

🤣🤣🤣

Gosh, that photo is very, very odd.

It looks like what you'd get if you went to a student lookalike agency and said, "I need a Harry and Meghan. I've got £20 and some crisps. Can we make a deal?"

GreyPlayer · 09/01/2026 05:50

Dan Woottoon got his as ever candle off an eBay seller who claimed the candle was sent with a wick. He even posted screenshots. I don’t believe that two people who happen to run channels dedicated to “criticising” meghan just happened to get faulty items. At least Dan was smart enough to blame a third party and not as ever directly.

It's a really odd thing. To get a wick out of an already poured candle you pretty much need to destroy the whole candle and repour. It's a lot of work to try and get a "gotcha". And it would be fairly obvious you'd done it (unless you have professional equipment).

Maybe the eBay seller had bought a bulk order from As ever to resell and hadn't checked every single candle?

I interpreted that as the seller had sent the wick “with” the candle, not necessarily “in” the candle!
which in my view is just as useless as not having one! , self assembly at those prices is a joke.

Just had a quick look, going by what Dan Wooton has put online there was no wick visible anywhere. He also linked to that other creator Link somebody - you could see in his there was a dimple where the wick should be. As if it was overpoured on a wick too short for the jar. So if you dug around a bit you could find a wick.

Dan Wooton's candle top was totally flat. He could tip the whole candle out the jar so I think that means it wasn't poured correctly (very amateur home candle maker here). And when he did that I thought I saw a glimpse of the wick base at the bottom of the candle, but can't be sure. If that's the case, again it's a too short wick and an overpour for the size of jar, or they've put the metal base for the wick but not the actual wick. The screenshot of the message Dan showed from his fiancé to the eBay seller - the seller says "sorry, I thought I saw a wick when I opened the box. Please return for a refund". If it's a scam by Wooton it seems very elaborate and a lot of effort.

That's 3 different people who've had the same issue - I saw a TT video of a female creator who had the same thing.

Sounds like it's been a quality control issue with a certain batch?

I think quality control is definitely lacking ( or not bothered with at all!) , it simply isn’t good enough at this price level to send out shoddy goods.

AtIusvue · 09/01/2026 10:38

Yes it’s an opaque white jar isn’t it?

So if the wick base is in, perhaps some of the wicks, which would also be white, have been missed and it’s been hard to spot.

Wouldn't be hard to spot if there were enough staff to oversee….but that’s all cost.

We know these products, in Megs own words, are ‘masstige’…mass produced tat at marked up prices.

chunkyBoo · 09/01/2026 11:41

It’s rubbish isn’t it, high end, quality goods should be more expensive Than mass produced things, there should be much care and attention to detail, smaller batch manufacturing, quality ingredients / materials.
As Ever tat seems to be mass produced, not a little home/ cottage industry she describes if I recall correctly, is more like the Duchy brand - good, decent quality, not mass produced crap

Couldn’t you just put the candle in oven or microwave for it it melt completely and fish out the wick? (Another amateur candle maker here) I can’t imagine the eBay seller would do that (why would they?) but I can see some critics of MM going to the effort - especially if it gets them clicks.

New posters are flooding the zone with the greatest hits of the Sussex Squad rumour-mongering and proxy attacks while insisting that they are only showcasing their "concern" and their "be kind" attitude.

It all goes to show that H&M have nothing to promote. H&M's PR strategy has devolved into broad-spectrum belligerence against the living and the dead combined with comical clapbacks in pay-to-play outlets (the million jars of spread math is not mathing).

Perhaps my initial estimate of a Halloween departure was too generous, and Liam, bless his heart, will be out after the World Cup after all.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 09/01/2026 17:44

Looking at this board, I think his strategy is to recruit more flying monkeys.

On other platforms, pro M+H threads have been constantly regurgitating excerpts from Spare.

It’s literally all they’ve got to keep coming back to.

AtIusvue · 09/01/2026 17:56

Also new names that seem to be very up to date with RF news. Not odd at all.

But at least on other platforms you can discuss. Unlike MN. Reddit had a thread talking about some posters not being as prolific, not levelling as much abuse, questioning if this was a sign of something going on

Await deletion from the overlords 🙌

Now is the time for caution @AtIusvue , when backs are against the wall, focus is targeted and increased.

I don’t think the current numerous anti William and Kate posts are the SS, more of a republican push - striking while the Andrew MW iron is hot.

Of course there’s some overlapping of interests between the two groups - bringing bonkers rumours about marriage breakdown into the helicopter thread is someone who’s been reading SS Twitter posts.

William and Kate are so popular for themselves that there’s no chance of a republic without significant damage to their reputation.

Oddly a slight overreaction to my picture of a helicopter too! 🤷‍♀️

This is so true, @wordler, though since the Windsors will certainly realise W&K are the best chance they have, it also explains why their image is curated so very carefully

As a republican myself I'd certainly comment if anything untoward comes out about them too, but won't be doing it on the basis of silly gossip from those who just aim to prop up H&M's hopeless case

... when backs are against the wall, focus is targeted and increased

Edited to add this is also true, @jeffgoldblum. God knows we saw enough of that with the "where's Kate" threads, and H&M still seemed to have some moves left then
Now it appears the good options are gone, this was all too predictable

I certainly think it’s good to discuss William in terms of financial transparency, how he manages the Duchy, and his work levels.

But I find the rumors and hyperbolic language - parasites, scroungers etc - off putting when trying to have a discussion.

Fair and honest as always @Puzzledandpissedoff! , if anyone could turn me republican it would be you and your measured approach! ( don’t get excited yet though! )
