Never seen polo played in snow before. Usually associate it with English summers - green grass and picnics.

Polo is one of the most brutal sports for horses. Bits and gadgets to grind you to a stop, attachments to stop you flinging your head up to avoid the pain of the bit, strong men ripping at those bits, spurs in the side to make you go faster. Horses regularly die on the pitch of heart attacks. Brutal training regimes behind the scenes with unimaginable cruelty. I worked in this world as a kid. It's horrific. He should be ashamed of himself. Loathsome bastard.

You either love horses or Polo - you cannot love both. As a previous poster said there is cruelty to the horses in this 'sport'.

My friend’s brother lives in Santa Barbara and is part of that wealthy ‘polo set’. Harry is known as a decent player, but not as good as his dad in his day.
