The royal family
OP posts:

They are up to their neck in it and Lownie has said that the paperback version of his book will have more details.

jumpingthehighjump · 02/11/2025 12:27

Of course they are! They learnt from their parents. And Sarah was setting up endless charities and anything donated came to her as 'expenses'
She was fleecing people left right and the center and I don't doubt the daughters will be no different

Yep.

AMW's Pitch@Palace and all its murky hustles too.

2% skim on entrants, alleged fraudster winner with £750k 'wedding gift' and lodging apparently rent free in a luxury CE flat, trustee found to have broken Charity regulations. List just goes on.

And re the OP and murky visits to Buckingham Palace - we've still never been given an adequate explanation for why and how the Beckhams got to hold a private 'Princess Party' for their daughter on the (tax payer maintained) palace premises and meeting - oh, look -. Euge. Again.

Teado · 02/11/2025 13:56

Grubby fuckers. I wonder if their husbands will stick around now, they’ll be wondering what the point is now that the royal link is likely to be severed. Although I guess there are innocent children involved - so that would be the point. I wouldn’t want to leave my kids with that grotesque family if I were one of the husbands.

OhDear111 · 02/11/2025 14:08

I think B & E live quiet lives with their husbands and DC. Cannot see why their husbands would leave them? As dc, when are we responsible for our parents?

jumpingthehighjump · 02/11/2025 14:21

When hundreds of thousands of pounds plop into your bank account from one of Daddy's friends maybe?

CurlewKate · 02/11/2025 14:56

5 posts to H&M. A record?

Mmmm. Indeed, you might raise a question.

Dreadful, such grifters.

ShenandoahRiver · 02/11/2025 15:36

@CurlewKate
I know.
Some people just can’t help themselves- obsessive behaviour really.
To be pitied..

DickDewey · 02/11/2025 12:35

If people can face more revolting revelations, I’d really recommend Andrew Lownie’s book.

Tell us something from the book, if you can bear to...

Beatrice is on the grift, for sure.

OhDear111 · 02/11/2025 18:32

They are private individuals though. I suspect they might be given clear advice from now on.

I imagine you're right. Any tiny step out of line and the public and press will be baying for their titles.

OhDear111 · 02/11/2025 19:07

@QuenchedSquirrel Well they won’t have done what their father is said to have done. They could live quietly bringing up dc and working quietly for charity!

ShenandoahRiver · 02/11/2025 19:11

@HeardInstinct
She certainly appears to be. The BBC article linked up thread shows SF and I'm pretty sure it's Bea in a private plane with Michael Evers.

AutumnalCrows · 02/11/2025 19:14

ScarlettOYara · 02/11/2025 12:33

Good point about the charities, she was forever setting them up. That rings alarm bells.

Yeah, another ‘global philanthropist’ clocking up the private air miles.

ScarlettOYara · 02/11/2025 19:16

AutumnalCrows · 02/11/2025 19:14

Yeah, another ‘global philanthropist’ clocking up the private air miles.

There are too many of them, aren't there? They just self designate as a "philanthropist" and travel the world going to events and get lauded.

ShenandoahRiver · 02/11/2025 19:45

It's the theft from the charities they purport to support that needs to be investigated by the police. The Charity Regulator seem to have their hands tied.

OhDear111 · 02/11/2025 20:38

The Charities Commission can investigate charities. Remember the Captain Tom daughter affair?

I don’t think they should have their own charities. They can help publicise and raise funds for other charities. If anyone wants them to. Otherwise the slimmed down RF stays slim.

ShenandoahRiver · 02/11/2025 20:40

@OhDear111
The Charity Regulator in Scotland investigated Fawcett the Fence and cash for honours and found nothing to be concerned about.
Is it a case - yet again - that the RF are deemed to be untouchable?

CathyorClaire · 02/11/2025 21:00

They can help publicise and raise funds for other charities

Won't happen however much their own charities replicate and thus divert funding for existing charities in the chosen sector.

It would remove one of the central tenets we're sold for their existence.

Edited

CC also investigated the transfer of funds originating in the Royal Foundation and driven through various short lived charitable bodies to end up under Harold's sole control through his Travalyst initiative and found nothing to see while simultaneously admitting said funds were now beyond their scrutiny.

Toothless tiger.

ShenandoahRiver · 02/11/2025 21:09

Andrew Lownie said in interviews after his book launched that it was going to be the revelations about the absolute trashing of tax payers' money that would be the tipping point for the RF. They are a pack of fucking scroungers - every single one of them.

It's just unbelievable. It's the shameless "greed is good" attitude.

Mydahliasareshit · 02/11/2025 21:15

Bea's ex Dave Clark was with her for a very long time. He escaped, but no doubt has stories and the inside information.
