Every time hear H&M gush about humanitarian this, kindness that etc always think 💭 what about your Father and Father in Law!?

Anyone think she’ll ever reach out or is the poor man to go to his grave being ghosted?

@Overtheatlantic the Royal family have always been of interest, liked or not, for centuries. M is a commoner, and married to a Prince, although they have left the royal way of life, they have ensured they are always in the news, social media and public eye.

It's rare a royal member courts negative publicity with quite so much dedication and commitment as H&M.

It's entirely up to M if she wants to reconcile with her family. No doubt she has discussed it at length with H, whom of course has his own estrangement to consider. Its a royal eastenders.

It is pretty astounding for a senior royal wedding, watched across the world, that the groom (and his family) never got to meet the bride's father. Harry should have flown to meet him. It's not as if he couldn't afford the fare or time off work. Just shows how rushed and ill thought out the whole wedding was.
Meghan should have invited all the Markles to the wedding. . If they behaved badly it would have been a one day wonder amongst all the goodwill like Kate's dodgy uncle.

that may be true but how disrespectful to.say it. And what about her mother? How must she have felt at such a dig ? They have been happy enough to lean on her for support now they have no.one else.

It's completely up to the two of them (Thomas and Meghan), no one else's business and I think it's very weird that outsiders even think they can understand the situation. If he is saying he wants to reconcile, then I guess it's up to her.

The whole thing is ugly and it's best if they never see or speak to each other again. Too much water has flowed under their bridge.

Just because people, who have nothing to do with Meghan, opine that she should reconcile with him, for their reasons not hers, doesn't mean it's right for her.

millions of people, many of them on here (Stately Homes) fall out with parents, family, friends. They're not told "it's disgraceful, you should be ashamed of yourself. Reconcile with that parent/sibling/relative immediately!" They're told "do what's right for you, it's your adult choice".

Her father does nothing to enhance her happiness, that's obviously the best reason she isn't in touch with him. Good for her.

Oh yes it was extremely rude, but that's Harry. I was mentioning it behaviour it does indicate that the relationship with Thomas was probably difficult before she met Harry and thus she may have had good reasons for cutting him off.

I agree with this. I think its not so much Thomas but the drip drip from his odious kids- Samantha and the brother. They are poison and seem to have influence over the dad. If as said here it was said at her first wedding about 'the family she never had' they must all be incredibly dysfunctional. Didn't Samantha call Doria 'The Help' when she was married to Thomas? Vile and racist.

She cannot ever allow him to meet Harry and dispute all the lies she told Harry about her upbringing.

Both Meghan and Harry come from problematic families that to some extent use the press to attack each other. Imagine being related to people like prince Andrew or Samantha Markle growing up...

Anyway we have no idea who is talking to whom, it's just speculation.

My speculation after that wedding performance was he's a narcissist and extremely unkind
He was then happily manipulated by the awful Samantha just when she was joining potentially the most famous family in the world.

Add Diana and Charles and more to that list of imagine being related to them .
I like both but Charles has written his own tell all about his ma and pa and how his childhood was cold and repressed.

Diana did her best in a toxic cold business and was emotionally warm and amazing but also unstable and perhaps selfish as well .

The divorce the interviews whilst they were at school and all the crap and then Diana died tragically .

Camilla !! All the stuff about Camilla again as a person she seems like a right good laugh to me but would I be happy she was lurking all the time breaking my mothers heart ??

Harry never met his father in law I find that really strange that in the run up to the wedding he hadnt met the man and there seemed to be no plans for him to even attend the wedding THATS when the stories came out it could have been avoided (maybe) by a little bit of communication?

And meghan has learned this behaviour from somewhere from many accounts HE raised her more than doria...im guessing the apple didn't fall far from the tree
