Every time hear H&M gush about humanitarian this, kindness that etc always think 💭 what about your Father and Father in Law!?

Oh absolutely. But I still don't get why Harry never met him prior to the engagement? That's when it really started to kick off when (IMO) Thomas realised he wasn't going to be involved at all.

Meghan appeared to have a close relationship with her father growing up, but things do change.

I'm not excusing Markle's behaviour with the press regards to his daughter, but I find it really odd he never met Harry at all.

I do wonder about why Harry never met him too. However once he kicked off in the press I did wonder if Meghan knew he would be like that and so stayed away from him? I'm not sure if introducing Harry would have helped the situation.

I think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I think he's manipulative and narcissistic, and so is she. They are what's called 'poor me narcissists'.

He did take her to a family event - was it chirstmas where the Princess Michael wore than widly inapporiate brooch - and Harry made some public comment about how happy he was to show her what a real family was.

I think it was before her father did anything publically so clearly issues of some sort.

There was a reason Harry described the Royal family as 'the family Meghan has never had' during the engagement interview. There were obviously internal family tensions way before she met Harry and, let's face it, having the glaze of the world's media wasn't going to help fix things.

I’d be interested to see whether Lady Colin Campbell’s hints about why Meghan and Thomas really fell out ever come to light. It’s curious that they haven’t refuted it, given how litigious they’ve been about other ‘untruths‘ published about them.

Lady Colin Campbell has no more insight into the RF than I have. I don't think she's ever even met a member of the RF so how she can claim to have inside knowledge, I have no clue

plus if what he says about how he believed this journalist that if he had those initial photos taken then the press would leave him alone is true then I feel he was kind of fooled into it. And that’s what she dropped him like a hot potato for, having those photos taken. He has given interviews to the press since but the ones I’ve seen seem to be about regret and missing her and trying to explain why he did those photos. I don’t see Megan apologising for the Oprah interview or the various press leaks, or Harry apologising for his book.

So naturally, I find it remarkable that, considering how litigious they are and how vehemently they refuted claims like Harry punching Andrew, they won’t challenge Colin’s grotesque claims. If those claims were true, they would actually make Meghan seem very sympathetic.

They really don’t help themselves. I suppose this is why the ‘never complain, never explain’ approach works so well for the rest of them. Once you explain one thing, it’s kind of damning when you don’t explain or condemn another.

I have no idea what Lady Colin Campbell's claims are, but presumably the reason they've not refuted them is because they serve to make them look good?

These claims are so disgusting and disturbing that they would seriously tarnish Thomas’s reputation. That’s why, ethically, they should refute them just as they did with the claims about Harry punching Andrew. But they won’t, because they pick and choose what to challenge as it suits them.

All the more reason it will be interesting to see if anything comes out when he passes

I’m not particularly a fan of hers, but this is one I’ve always sided with her on. I’m estranged from my father, I’m sure all his friends think I’m awful. I’m not, and I certainly won’t be going to his funeral. There’s clearly more backstory here, and it’s none of our business.
