It’s been 14 hours since the launch of the 2024 Rose. Nothing has sold out. This is despite it being designed again as a scarcity drop, so it can’t be argued she’s finally got her stock levels right.

  • As ever stated the wine launch going ‘live’ at on the 5th August. Language designed to get you to rush and buy. Just like all this SM shopping you get now.
  • Meghan put out a message many hours ago, stating that they have so much more stock (sad clapback to stuff not shifting) but hurry and be quick because it’s selling fast!!! (It’s clearly not)
  • This launch however, has attracted very little press compared to previous drops

The scarcity gimmick is already tired and because she’s been absent from SM for 2 months…save for a few stock images/videos- she’s lost any momentum she had. She’s putting in bare minimum and her customer base feel it. She’s checked out.

There’s been talk of another series of WLM 3 and Meg getting a new NF contract, but I think that is just to fill the void until she can get WLM2 out. At which point, we will find out if there is any truth in any further deals.

The reason why I doubt WLM3, is that for continuity, you would need the same venue. But the home is now being used to to host weddings etc, it’s no longer a private rental but one open to the public to rent. There’s no way Meg would film in that location now. In addition she would need to have gotten the go ahead already for WLM3 and be filming right now to be able to stick to a schedule. The fact that it isn’t already confirmed, it’s giving the signal that WLM is over (in addition to knowing NF deal is done)

Now if WLM is over, I don’t think she has the draw to pull people to As ever. She doesn’t engage with her fan base enough, she does the bare minimum of SM posts, which she hasn’t even achieved the last few months. The Shopmy page is dead too. This is why the new wine launch has barely registered and hasn’t sold out 14 hours later. Yes, there will be more stock but it’s been designed for a sell out so there won’t be huge numbers.

As ever I think will be slowly wound down. There will be WLM2, with maybe another 18 months of drops. Then like everything else, it will be dropped quietly. Everyone is starting to get a bit bored by the half hearted, very beige effort she’s put into her ‘business’ and have tuned out.

She will have to launch yet another version of herself very soon. We’ve had actress, feminist, activist, producer, philanthropist….now female founder. God knows what’s next!

I think he nails who the Markles are.

he is an ex vet, injured during one of his tours of duty, clearly a Royalist and patriotic to the UK, so he won’t be sharing any Republican points of view.

When you join the military you swear an oath to fight for king ( queen) and country, they take it seriously my dh did !
@Ploachedplorridge
how dare you criticise someone who fought and would willingly die to defend his country and fellow people just to push a republican narrative!
@Ploachedplorridge, are you ex military? Have you fought for your country?
my dh did many times, I take personal offence at your comments.

Excuse me, I am an ex-military wife, my immediate and extended family have served.

Believe me, when a tank runs over an IUD, no one is shouting and concerned for king and country, but for each other.

Edited to say that I could equally choose to be “personally offended”, it is a choice, but I try not to indulge in such ridiculous nonsense.

Remember that, among other things, our troops are fighting for the right to freedom of speech and people from different persuasions and beliefs leaving together peacefully.

BasiliskStare · 13/08/2025 11:27

To be fair - I don't think there is any evidence Harry has been cuckolded in the generally accepted meaning of the word. So I think he should have left that out. If he meant it metaphorically in the sense that Trump used "whipped" maybe more so. But let's not make things up where there is enough from what they say or do ( More than enough )

ETA - no disrespect to military personnel whatsoever - just that one word / phrase.

My dh served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, was bombed and had to dig his fellow servicemen from underneath the rubble, walk through unexploded mine fields to scale and fix the communications .
to name just a few of the awful things that he did willingly for his country.
all the while I was home alone wondering if he would come home, later home alone with newborns wondering if I would see him again!
if you are an ex military wife , it makes your comments far worse!
its Disgusting that you would think it appropriate to insult a brave man to defend Harry , surely you must have heard the real accounts of his military service?
nothing you say now is as far as I’m concerned worth my time!

I’d be delighted if you did ignore my posts thanks! I’m not deliberately trying to offend. My views are genuinely held. They are just very different to yours.

This sort of pomposity is exactly what I cannot stand about this topic! Are you saying that someone’s views are not open to criticism because they served? I said that his piece on H&M made him sound like a pompous arse and I stand by that! It’s an opinion! Many soldiers say far worse to each other!

As for the rest, many service men and women and many military wives suffered terribly in Iraq and Afghanistan , as did many of the local population. I won’t elaborate. Anyone who served, or is related to someone who served, understands that. I fail to see the relevance to this man’s view on Meghan and Harry.

Weepixie · 13/08/2025 11:54

@jeffgoldblum I’m so proud of our 30 plus years as a military family and I say ‘family’ even though it was my husband putting on the uniform everyday because we also wore the uniform as his family. It was our life and it’s a life I couldn’t be prouder of, It far outweighed everything we went on to achieve after he’d retired from his first career and some have said I’m bonkers for thinking that but in my mind not everything can be measured by what’s in the bank. For 30 plus years I took care of his uniforms myself, laid them out for him every night before I went to bed and even thinking about it now has made my heart swell and brought happy tears to my eyes.

Thank you for telling us about your husband, your family. ❤️

does your dh know you have dishonoured a fellow serviceman to defend Harry?
a man who had every right to criticise Harry and Meghans treatment of veterans through invictus!
anyone who witnessed Meghan marching in front of the veterans wearing flip flops and a playsuit, would find it highly inappropriate and insulting!
harry stood by and allowed that to happen.
perhaps you should try taking these comments to the many military forums and see the response you get there!

It's got to be tough being a military wife, Jeff, because you had to live with the fear and uncertainty, and raise children without the certainties most of us had. I understand where you're coming from, and why you posted what you did. ❤️

Thanks @Weepixie, i wasnt allowed to iron dh uniform because I didn’t do a good enough job! 🤣, he still does all the ironing now.
he joined at 17 to escape poverty in Glasgow, he was already serving when I met him , I knew what I was getting into but love is love! , there are as you say many bittersweet memories.
although retired now, he still works with many of his old colleagues with the mod , don’t ask me what he does, I don’t know and he’s not allowed to tell me ! 🤣
the only thing I will say that I found to be a real negative was my fellow military wives! , thought they were their husbands ranks and behaved worse than the actual soldiers! 🙄

Thanks, it was tough I won’t lie !
but it’s difficult to explain because you feel guilty for feeling upset about them going away, I would cry to dh and sometimes he would lose patience and ask me how I thought he felt!
he wasn’t wrong.

I can only assume that Netflix don't give a damn about Meghan's reputation if they have gone ahead with CT as a guest.

Is there any particular reason for them to care, profhilodisaster - especially if they're not bankrolling H&M any more but just enjoying first option on anything they manage to produce?

Many feel that the decline in their reputations is almost entirely self inflicted, and it's hard to imagine Netflix being over-bothered about that, though I guess Sarandos who's said to be a massive Meghan fan might be

And FWIW you're quite right about much of the RF, @Ploachedplorridge
You'll see no defence of them from me, but as they say two wrongs don't make a right and one bunch behaving dishonourably is no reason for others to do the same - especially when they had the option of looking much better by comparison had they made better choices

I thought I wasn’t worth your time Jeffgoldblum?

My dh shares my opinions thanks and actually has stronger Republican views than me.

But that’s by the by anyway because I happen to hold views independently of him and don’t have to run them past my husband first thanks! What is this? The 1950s?

We all acknowledge the dreaded uncertainty of not knowing whether your spouse will return from deployment or not. Some of us just don’t care to talk about it on sm, because there are people reading whose husbands or wives suffered a far worse fate.

You can hold republican views and insult the royal family as much as you want!
you can strangely defend harry and Meghan while holding republican views as much as you want!
what you can’t do without getting backlash is use a veteran as a weapon!

I agree about two wrongs not making a right and don’t entirely disagree about H&M Puzzledandpissedoff , I don’t think that everything they have done is optimal by any means.

But I think there were faults on both sides. I don’t buy the view that everything the royal family did was perfect and that everything H & M did was bad!

There is also an inherent imbalance of fairness because the RF can operate behind a wall of secrecy and they have a lot of influence through their PR teams on public opinion. And once you oppose them you are up against a formidable wall of wealth and power; it really is a David & Goliath situation. Also, with having so many fingers in so many pies, and extensive soft influence, others in the establishment and the press are reluctant to go against the RF’s stance on things shall we say.

It’s the unfairness of that that I find difficult, rather than being in camp Sussex per se.

M & H are responsible for their actions but the way the RF operates, having separate offices for the main roles, briefing differently, sometimes against one another, and communicating through staff, leads to extreme frustration which might contribute to dramatic outbursts and petulance!

If they could just talk to one another normally as a family face-to-face, before involving the grey suits, I am pretty sure that H wouldn’t have felt the need to take revenge by publishing a book and burning his boats!

But beyond that, and this is partly why I am
a Republican, I understand that rank, money and position are built-in, if you are a Royal Family member, and that is why the institution as an entity is toxic for the people within it! Who wants their wages, accommodation and job remit, and their PR narrative, determined by their uncle or brother? It’s a recipe for disaster!

That’s fine but I seriously doubt you would be defending this veteran so vigorously if he was an H&M supporter.

I disagree, if the Palace had as much control as so many seem to think then there would never have been the Harry and Meghan situation in the first place, interviews and books would have been quashed and they were not, if anything I would say for quite a long time Harry and Meghan were the Goliaths, many thought and some still do that they would bring down the royal family, I’m also pretty sure any staff who were bullied by Meghan and Harry feel that they were Davids, up against the Sussexes wealth and power.

What? That is really strange!

Trust me, it’s not that strange SuziQuinto 😀

I am having a lot of trouble accessing RF threads when I can access other topics quickly and easily. I posted about it. We’ve concluded that it’s probably a mixture of cookies, advertising and length of thread causing the issue.

I did genuinely wonder if other Republicans were having the same issue but in a somewhat tongue in cheek way!

You see, this is why I normally change my nn frequently on this board because some Royalists like to break talk guidelines and mention other threads within a thread simply to be snarky!

I have recently been trialling keeping the same name over a number of threads but that officially ends here for obvious reasons! Some monarchists sadly can be very petty. Yet if you do name change a lot as a republican, you get constantly called out on that too, so you can’t really win! 🤷‍♀️

BigWillyLittleTodger · 13/08/2025 13:22

Who wants their wages, accommodation and job remit, and their PR narrative, determined by their uncle or brother? It’s a recipe for disaster!

It’s hardly unusual, this is exactly how every Aristocrat and landowner family operates, same with farming families, family businesses across the world, both small and large, so no not a recipe for disaster at all, it’s a perfectly normal situation, Harry’s issue is his jealousy of not becoming King and is just a lowly Prince.
