Netflix deal is over

  • Both decided a statement won’t be released “Publicly, there will not be a statement and of course, if things change dramatically, they’d be open to a one-off project down the line.”
  • Talk about Paramount plus

It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

Twerking within the African culture is usually done amongst women during wedding celebrations and women’s gatherings. Please do not try to confuse what twerking is it today thanks to (first and foremost) African rappers who had no qualms whatsoever when it came cheapening and making something very tawdry of a dance that held great cultural significance to African women in its true sense.

Shame on you for trying to justify Meghans classless and cheap behaviour by using race in your arguements, but more than that, shame on you for using African women against each other in your convoluted and disgraceful efforts to defend Meghan who wouldn’t know class or solidarity with her black sisters if it bit her on the arse.

And as for learning about others - take a hike. I’ve lived and loved within the Arab and African community across two countries for almost 50 years. I could teach you about the culture regardless of me being a 67 year old Greg haired Scottish Wifie. And don’t ever underestimate the diversity of the women here because I’ll tell you this - you’ll be on a hiding to nothing.

Although I’m curious as to the excuse for Harry’s dancing? , it’s definitely not some long forgotten Heritage that celebrates groin thrusting and pointing at said appendage!
what can it be????

Waiting for evidence that twerking is normal in Africa....

Per Abstract:

"For girls and women of African descent in the United States, an African origin myth of twerking can be a refuge from the customary symbolic annihilation and stigmatization from misogynoir on the Internet, but what does it mean (how, why, and for whom) to maintain an imagined sense of ethnic affiliation through twerking that is not rooted in reality?"

Morris Dancing? I believe that’s something to do with fertility… or is it warding off evil spirits? I can see Harry skipping about with a pig’s bladder on a stick. What japes!!

I didn't see anyone twerking when H&M were visiting Nigeria. I don't see African delegations providing displays of twerking when there are cultural events where "something normal in Afrucan cultures and traditions" might find a natural place.

All of those and being a gormless knob? 🤔

DelectableMe · 27/07/2025 17:29

Also @Spectre8 , maybe your assumption that posters on here are white and have no African heritage or connection is completely wrong.

HonoriaBulstrode · 27/07/2025 17:29

It could have been an idea from Meredith asxI read somewhere that the plan of the new PR advisers is to disrupt. This included H&M standing on The Mall amongst the public during Trooping the Colour.

I'm sure the security services are keeping a close watch. They wouldn't get into the country without the people who need to know, knowing about it.

Maybe Harry should have twerked on stage when he engaged in that quasi royal tour of Nigeria?
That would have gone down well.

I’m not sure that men twerk though do they?
Ive only seen women do it ( not wishing to be sexist at all!)

DelectableMe · 27/07/2025 17:41

Yes, I wouldn't care to describe Harry's..."dance" 🤮 🤢

Weepixie · 27/07/2025 17:42

@My2cents1975 twerking as it’s known nowadays definitely goes on at weddings in this part of the world by women who have family history in Africa going back generations - Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Zanzibar Lamu, Pemba, and into Cameroon. My own family, my sisters in law and older women in the family have danced at weddings in that particular way for as long as I can remember, they were all born or brought up in Kenya despite being Arabs. And of course since twerking started to be called twerking, weddings have become even more outrageous with women in their 70’s having dance offs (twerkoffs) with young things who don’t stand a chance. ❤️

oh and decades ago when I asked where they’d learned to do this dance (that had almost blinded me) they told me, oh, we’ve been doing it since we were children, we just copied people. 🤣

Windsor mating ritual?

OneBlossomBee · 27/07/2025 17:46

Meh, they left, earnt some of their own money and that was 3 gone with Archie then. None of the family would be famous if not for accident of birth. Meghan and Harry are unlikeable and have zero talent, well she can act a bit, but then again influencers aren't exactly known for their talents yet still became famous. They won't exactly starve. Meghan could do a food business of ready meals and Harry be the delivery guy.🤣
