I did this last year and there was a reasonable amount of interest, so happy to do it again for each day of Royal Ascot.

Camilla has a reading room at Ascot so is promoting her charity.

That’s a great idea. I follow the Queen’s reading room on Instagram and they have had some great writers on there and interesting discussions. I remember when Camilla was written about years ago, her lack of education was often mentioned. She had gone to finishing school and that was it, because all she was meant for was to marry well. However she is a very cultured person. I can’t help myself from pointing out, despite going to a great university, M most definitely is not cultured. It’s not just her. I have met many people who went to good universities who were just like her.

@cupfinalchaos Get a seat in the viewing area on the 4th floor. It’s nearly always got a breeze up there and it’s not in the sun. I usually go on Tuesday but we’ve had a rest this year. DD going on Friday. Way too hot for me!

Uricon2 · 18/06/2025 19:53

Sarah Chatto's look very simple but I like it.

Not2identifying · 18/06/2025 20:22

Thank you @CaveMum. Sarah sticks to what works for her. I do like those earrings.

TizerorFizz · 18/06/2025 21:27

Earrings are great but she’s brave to wear a cardigan. I guess it comes from being secure in who she is. Love the earrings too!

Wundy · 18/06/2025 22:05

I think Sarah Chatto suddenly looks a lot like Princess Ann - I've never thought that before.

Starseeking · 18/06/2025 22:15

Camilla, Sophie, Carole, Zara and Anne all looked wonderful today, I loved all their dresses and hats. A shame the Princess couldn’t make it.

I do wish William would shave off that awful beard. He seems to have grown it following Harry being given permission to do so in his military gear a few years ago. It really doesn’t suit William, he looks much better clean shaven.

All members of the military can now grow a beard. Not sure that is William’s motivation. Maybe he just wants to have a beard I think it looks ok although I am not a fan of beards in general 🤷‍♀️

The Express article about Sarah Chatto is 3 years old!

Oh god, so it is! So sorry! I googled “Lady Sarah Chatto Ascot 2025” and that came up, alongside a Daily Fail article which I opted not to look at.

Right, I’ve tracked down a photo from today - and she is wearing the same earrings!

Lady Sarah tends to be dressed by Jasper Conran - he also made her wedding dress.

Not2identifying · 19/06/2025 09:57

I like yesterday's look!

Butteredtoast55 · 19/06/2025 10:22

I thought Camilla looked glorious in that shade of green. There was a lovely photo of her in the carriage with the hat shading her face. And I loved Sophie's dress.

ThePoshUns · 19/06/2025 10:34

I liked Alizee (sp?) Middleton’s outfit with her hat borrowed from her MIL.
outfit was from longchamps so a nod to her home country and to the horses.

TizerorFizz · 19/06/2025 10:52

Interesting dress choices yesterday! Identical!

Best royal wedding dress of all time, imo.

Mrs Mike Tindall ffs. If it’s a personal choice (and I bet it isn’t), I’d have thought Zara might be a bit more modern.

CaveMum · 19/06/2025 12:35

It’s definitely a personal choice for regular RE attendees, but perhaps they’re still sticking with “tradition” for the carriages.

I agree, but it's really no different from "The Princess of Wales" or "The Duchess of Edinburgh." British RF practice is to completely obliterate the birth name (including the first name) of women who marry in.

I agree but it is strictly the correct form of address for a married woman, RF or not. A woman addressed as Mrs Ownname MarriedSurname is a widow.

TizerorFizz · 19/06/2025 13:45

I think I’ve been Mrs DH in RE! I don’t care really. No one actually reads it.
