I don't understand why she's posted this. In what way is she hoping to enhance here brand/improve her image? It's so weird.

Stop criticising Camilla, patron saint of decades long affairs. She’s a decent woman of good character.

She had fewer affairs than Diana. The same number as Meghan.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 05/06/2025 18:25

Oh yes, let’s just make stuff up, shall we?

I wasn't making it up, hence questioning it. Evidently it was a different royal who did this.

What a load of whataboutery that is.

Camilla the adulterer, Andrew the alleged paedophile, Meghan the… woman who posts pictures of her children’s heads and dances with her husband.

The horror 😂

Out of genuine interest - why do people dislike her so much? She’s no worse than the rest of them.

I'm not surprised Princess Diana had affairs when her marriage was all a sham, and her husband was in love with somebody else the entire time.

The same post was about the video too. You're very worked up.

I wonder why it is that people accuse posters who simply respond to their posts of being 'worked up'?

Is it the same reason they accuse people of being 'upset' or 'pissed off' at a pair of pompous idiots disgracing themselves by posting 4 year old videos of themselves gyrating in the labour room? When in fact they are having great fun laughing at them?

All. Of. This.

Probably found them hard to fit in around the mental health crisis she was gifted.

You randomly brought up the matter of affairs. A bit of random character assassination based on faithfulness. Just pointing out to you that Diana had many on the record affairs and Meghan cheated on her chef bf with Harry. Sorry that hurts you.

I am sure Mrs Carling and Mrs Hoare were equally forgiving .

Diana cheated first, I'm afraid. She should have left the marriage earlier rather than cheating on him to get her own back.

So it’s fine for Diana to have an affair (or several) because she was unhappy in her marriage, then?

I always wonder why Camilla never gets the same grace that was extended to Diana. She was apparently devastated by Andrew Parker Bowles’ repeated and flagrant unfaithfulness and had a relationship with Charles as he was her shoulder to cry on when she was so miserable.

I just think it’s genuinely hilarious that Meghan and Harry can’t dance without criticism, yet Camilla and Charles are hardly angels and Andrew may/may not be a paedophile.

Where’s the drama about any of that?

Which poor wife had to ask the police to tell Diana to stop harassing her with telephone calls?

Oliver Hoare's wife. Harassment, ringing and hanging up, repeatedly.

So, Diana having affairs with married men and ending their marriages, and making dozens of phone calls to them and their families is ok then. But not Camilla having contact with the man she eventually married and is still married to?

Don’t pretend one post on instagram doesn’t bring with it several years now of hubris, ego and outrageous behaviour. Meghan’s supporters may have the memory of a goldfish, but please credit the rest of us with a working recall.

Charles and Camilla and Andrew have had, between them, decades of criticism and vilification. They are irrelevant to the topic at hand. But if you are going to bring up random stuff, expect to have your posts responded to in kind.

I'm afraid you'll have to read all the previous threads on which this question (why do people dislike her so much?) has been answered very articulately about a thousand times.

I mean - Meghan - what's not to like?

And if you're going to call Camilla an adulterer (God - are we living in the Victorian era?) then there are very few people (including Meghan) who would escape censure.

Ok. Was it someone different who shouted at Kate and made her cry?. The Queen Mother? Princess Margaret? The Tsar of Russia?
Still no film evidence produced , funnily enough.

Outrageous behaviour is hardly the same as what others in the family have either done or been accused of.

I genuinely don’t get the issue with her. I don’t like her, as in I’m not a “fan,” I don’t give her enough attention to know anything much about her apart from that she’s married to Prince Harry, and was once in a TV show nobody’s watched.

DelectableMe · 05/06/2025 18:52

I read that the Pope had actually wanted to canonise Diana, she was such a saint.
Oh sorry, that was Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

CoffeeCantata · 05/06/2025 18:53

Thanks so much to the muddle-headed pp who put that wonderful image into my mind of the Queen Mother dancing with a naked black man. It's just magical - her floating, pastel chiffon brushing against his bronzed limbs!

I wonder what they were on, though, to come up with that? I'd like to try some for sure!

No idea. Nor about Charles' and Diana's assorted extra marital shenanigans from decades ago.

And as to "where's the drama". There are literally dozens of TV dramas, documentaries and films about Charles and Camilla and Andrew. Not to mention they have been discussed ad nauseam on this board. It's hardly some sort of secret now, is it. But it's also wholly irrelevant to the topic of this thread. If you want to bering it up, expect your whataboutery to be met in kind.
