I don't understand why she's posted this. In what way is she hoping to enhance here brand/improve her image? It's so weird.

You call anyone who doesn’t hate their guts the “Sussex squad”, but I care so little about their lives that I wasn’t even aware that there were any surrogacy rumours. I just read this thread out of curiosity and was not surprised by the responses.

Let’s call out the elephant in the room. It’s been alluded to by the “Sussex squad” enough. There’s a racial element to this that none of you will be bold enough to admit to. I know it, you know it, Meghan knows it, Harry knows it, the Windsors know it. You hate Meghan because she is a black American woman and sometimes you catch glimpses of her behaving in a way that fits in with black American culture. You don’t understand her behaviour because it’s so far removed from “polite” British society and it disgusts you. Maybe you claim to not be able to pinpoint why you hate her so much. Maybe you know it yourselves but are too ashamed to admit to it. Either way, black women around the world see how you respond to Meghan and recognise it from the ways in which so many white women respond to us.

I don't hate Meghan. My mother and had a watchalong tea party on the day they got married 🍰and we thought their wedding service was great, brilliant choir and cellist. Was a bit taken aback by the pastor though - buttoned up Christian churches don't usually get that kind of treatment 😄

The video does seem joyous. It's just so odd, IMO, that she's posted it out of nowhere. It's the first thing like that that she has ever shared. As PPs said, this clearly marks a new PR direction and it just seems like more flailing to me, trying to find her market/niche as none seem to have worked well so far.

Imagine what the queen would have thought, if she were alive. I don’t think M & H are 100% well.

1StrawberryDaiquiri · 05/06/2025 08:57

Does it matter what the Queen would think? Reading some of the posters comments on here, some people are a lot more uptight than others. Different generations, different personalities.

Meghan behaved exactly the way she was supposed to when she lived in the UK, and she still got hounded by hatred and bad press. Harry and her were right to leave and be themselves. They seem a lot more fun and in the real world than the royals stuck in their wealthy bubble here.

They tried various business ventures, why not. Everybody needs to earn a living, they sell their image in their own term, not hurting anyone.

But they didn't want to leave the Royal family. They wanted to be half in, and half out.

ie they wanted to have their cake and eat it. To which the Queen said "Nope!"

If Boris and Carrie Johnson (who have just had another baby) posted this, people would quite rightly be squirming and jeering. Can “it’s a lovely moment! Such fun” posters swear that they would be positive about them too?

It’s not the twerking etc that is the problem here: it’s recording it and posting it four years later to gain attention. Just desperate.

ButteredRadishes · 05/06/2025 08:19

Nobody is racist here.

They just think posting a very private event for the world to see, on your daughter's birthday, is an odd choice.

It would be the same if Catherine had done it.

Oh behave 🤣

All those people who post photos of them in that post birth moment, or baby bump photos in a collage of photos on the child’s birthday are sharing a private moment but don’t get the hatred that this couple do.

I have no strong feelings about them either way and am not a fan of the royal family other than as fellow humans, so don’t bother with the bingo card.

I’m bemused by the level of bile here

Imagine what the queen would have thought, if she were alive. I don’t think M & H are 100% well.

Her husband and son did a lot worse than put a video of them innocently dancing online, so I’m guessing her boundaries of what she’s ok with were quite low. I think Meghan and Harry dancing online wouldn’t have registered with her.

There for all the fun/ high profile stuff, opt out of the dull ribbon cuttings etc.

You're either employed to do it all, or not..

ButteredRadishes · 05/06/2025 09:01

It seems that's a shame because they were in the perfect position to do so much good in this world. They had power and influence. Even when they left the royal family. They could have done something more altruistic but they didn't. It was really odd

Greenartywitch · 05/06/2025 09:02

I started really liking them and completely believing that the royal family did not welcome Meghan.

But I think at this stage it is rather concerning that they are so in need of constant attention and controversy.

They have so much to be grateful for: lovely kids, health, money, their freedom...

They could be enjoying their new life away from the constant spotlights and do something really meaningful to help others using their contacts and profile.

I can't help by think that they are badly advised and just too self-entered to see the damage they are doing to themselves and their 'brand'.

Because those people posting baby bump pics don’t carry the titles of the british monarchy.

It’s grim of both Harry and Meg to be posting such videos. If that’s what makes them happy, fine. But drop the titles and move on with their lives.

Stop thinking using a HRH and dropping low to shake your ass is compatible.

Bold and rather racist and xenophobic of you to assume that,
A Everyone on this thread is white .
B Everyone on this thread is from the U.K. .

'Does it matter what the Queen would think? Reading some of the posters comments on here, some people are a lot more uptight than others. Different generations, different personalities.'

This is the narrative though, isn't it - if you think posting videos in your nightie, heavily pregnant, twerking round a hospital room is undignified and attention seeking then you're' uptight', rather than cool, young, carefree and fun loving. But where do you draw the line. Is there a line? Do you have to start posting more and more personal images just to stay relevant? Where does it stop? I suppose it didn't do Kim Kardashian any harm..... Well, no harm if it's fame, notoriety and fortune you're after.

This is the couple who clim they had to flee the UK to protect their privacy and that of their children - putting out into the public far, far, far more about their private life than any tabloid would ever have been able to.

1000% this. It’s just so cheap. Are they that desperate for likes? Are they so stupid as to think this will achieve that?

Those poor kids. Hate to think what parental induced trauma is coming their way.

I'm 'bemused' at how some people continue to defend these two no matter what they do. Nothing they do is wrong, ever, and no-one must EVER critisize them. Lest they be accused of spouting bile, being full of hate, and being 'racist.'

The way they have behaved this past 4-5 years (especially Harry) is disgraceful. Throwing his own family under the bus, writing shit about them, and writing a book with scathing comments and accusations about his family. And the two of them have been continually demanding attention and publicity, whilst saying 'we want PRIVACY!, Leave us alone!' 😖

I used to actually like Harry and Meghan together, and like a few others, I enjoyed their wedding, but I can't even stand to look at them now. The narcissism and attention-seeking is cringeworthy and vom-inducing.

No wonder the Royal Family/Charles/William don't want him (and Meghan) back in their lives, and back in the family fold. That interview Harry did earlier in the year, with his passive aggressive manipulative comments like 'my father's grandchildren' was disgusting.

As I said, I am baffled, and 'bemused' as to how (and why) their followers keep defending them, and everything they do. It's embarrassing! 😬

The fact that you even have this saved and think nothing of it (let alone find it funny) is very telling.

It's not 'telling' anything, except that people are noticing lots of things H & M do that is listed on that grid. I think it's hilarious, but obviously H & M fans aren't going to think it's funny, because it's poking fun at their idols.

It’s clearly just a phone on a stand.

That's so disappointing. I thought it would be more interesting. I've only seen the clips on TV so maybe watching the full thing is something for today. Do you think they carry a stand round with them?

Not sure how many more times I am going to have to post this ! They weren’t hounded out . They weren’t fleeing for their lives . They flounced off when the late Queen refused half I / half out . And rightly so.

What Meg n Harry choose to do to amuse themselves is their business. But by retaining their titles and using them, they can’t pick and choose what parts of being part of the establishment they like.

If you carry a British Royal title, like Duchess and have a HRH, then there’s a certain standard of modest behaviour expected. Hitching your dress up and dropping your ass down low to grind it, ain’t one of them.

If Harry n Meg think that ridiculous and old fashioned- that’s fine! But it’s also ridiculous and old fashioned to use the titles. If you want to keep the titles…..then don’t act vulgar and uncouth. It’s not that hard to accomplish. If they want complete freedom to act how they please, away from criticism (British criticism at least) then drop the titles and live their best American millionaire influencer lifestyle unabashed.

Looks like a youngish couple having fun. It's on point for their generation who film and share a lot. And like the V sign. I see nothing wrong.
And may be she doesn't see herself as a brand. Just as a woman who is madly in love with her husband and adores her family? Or may be it's for a different audience than you?

According to another thread on mn , they could easily be grandparents and it would be absolutely normal to ask if they are also! 😂

Exactly this.

And I keep thinking of poor Thomas Markle getting some nice photos done of himself getting ready for the wedding. Nothing crass, nothing too personal and revealing, just some staged photos to make himself look presentable in the news, and he's immediately dropped, never to be spoken to again by the daughter he raised. Sure, it was a mistake. But hardly the crime of the century!

Meghan on the other hand, can use the media however she pleases. She stages photos and videos and interviews on a more or less daily or weekly basis!!! She posts this raunchy weird video pulling her dress up her legs in a hospital while twerking her butt at the camera, she shares intimate photos of her with her children, stages photos every single day!!!! and that's ok?

The woman is completely dysfunctional and the pair of them are so hypocritical! Whoever this new team are that are meant to be rescuing their image, they are not so far doing a very good job!!!
