The Era of Joy didn't last long.

This is going to be interesting, it's going to be a full on PR onslaught for the next few months, and then we will have Harry launching his very own 'commercial project'.

Clearly an article straight from the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, giving an exclusive to the DM.

I wear white trainers gardening, not very expensive and they don't get that dirty unless I start stepping into flower beds after it's rained and its muddy

Do your vegetables come out the ground sparkling clean ?

...and out of season?! 😂

MrsGusset · 31/05/2025 09:09

Mylovelygreendress · 30/05/2025 15:25

If you believe Crazy Days and Nights ( who are often accurate) she sent an assistant to the local market for the vegetables .

To be fair Meghan never specifically claimed that the vegetables were home grown – which they obviously weren't – she just said they were the “morning's garden haul” without mentioning whose garden.

Possibly she sent her Chief of Staff to harvest them at Walmart?

AliasGraced · 31/05/2025 09:26

All smoke and mirrors with those two. Their poor children are going to have a lot of issues.

Right. So the wording and imagery would suggest they were shop bought, would they?

Good point however the implication was clear !

ThePoshUns · 31/05/2025 09:41

Exactly she refer to them as a garden haul, not just picked up from Target.

MayaKovskaya · 31/05/2025 09:42

Always the obfuscation. It just adds to the general perception of them being dishonest and untrustworthy..

Thedom · 31/05/2025 09:49

A few of us have been saying for a while now that she is trolling for clicks.

She has to be aware very few people are genuinely following her instagram for her content, hence why she has blocked all SM engagement. We know she doesn't have any conscience about putting out misinformation or fake news, so most of the engagement she gets on instagram is from people who are sceptical about her and her motives, and she is handing it to those followers on a silver platter.

I do think she believed in the hype, (and her own hype), of the Netflix series, the podcast and the business launch, so it must be hard to accept all three in quick succession were big failures, her faux instagram posts just compound how bad she is at any kind of interaction, and also highlights how desperate she is to prove something.

Her personality and motives shine through and what she exhibits is a very unlikeable personality and character.

Good points, @Thedom . It's really about maintaining the celebrity status, and getting those clicks and headlines.

Thedom · 31/05/2025 10:02

I just read this extract from Tom Bowers book, It seems everyone saw straight through Meghan Markle, EXCEPT Harry, long before Oprah and their Netflix show was launched on the general public.

However, Harry was reportedly "so disappointed" when Diana's family disagreed.

"No one agreed that his vulnerable mother had anything in common with his girlfriend," Bower noted, per the Daily Mail. "More discomforting for him, they thought Meghan would not fit in with the Royal Family."

Though Diana's sisters didn't directly challenge the relationship, it was her brother, Charles, who voiced concerns. Drawing from his own experiences, the Earl of Spencer advised Harry to avoid rushing into marriage.

"His advice provoked a bitter reaction," Bower wrote. "This was going to be really hard, Harry would later reflect on establishing Meghan's place in the family."

Despite skepticism from some family members, Harry has remained steadfast in comparing Meghan to his late mother.

Whatever therapy Harry has had, it isn't helping now. It's not healthy to be determined to make your wife into your mother. And it's destined to fail. I am not a Meghan fan but she can't and could never be someone else, and that expectation is just unhelpful.

I agree. It's impossible to live up to. It's a bit like Rebecca, where the central character can't live up to what she believes are the positive characteristics of the first wife.

Interesting quote.

Begs the question why the rift with W when Uncle Spencer was saying pretty much the same thing yet has remained in contact.

Yup, right up to the point where he bangs on about 'them' hunting M down until she is dead. Bloody macabre, grim stuff. I'm amazed more hasn't been made of it, what with the drug use and all.

I think Harry is unwell, to use a euphemism. When I saw his most recent BBC interview, I thought it was increasingly obvious.

I wouldn't particularly want Charles Spencer in my life and around my family, maybe W doesn't either. Harsh maybe, but he isn't really oozing stability and family values these days iykwim.

I agree but it seems odd that H hasn't discarded him for making much the same points as W when we're told those remarks are one of the primary reasons for the rift.

The ones H has chosen to keep on board (Uncle Spencer and the dubious Yorks) seem rather bizarre choices.

Yes, they are interesting choices. Not exactly people I'd keep in the fold, but he has his reasons. The friendship with the York family is interesting.

Do you do this to be like Meghan? There are certainly people ( fans?) who do this and publicise it. It's very bizarre behaviour. I wonder what they get from this copying of her.

It was on the Asever page.

Which is another problem, she really doesn't have enough going on to run two Instagram accounts. Why not just use Meghan as she seems determined to have the children involved?

foreverblowingbubbless · 31/05/2025 11:45

Oh I see! Thanks @MrsLeonFarrell. Yes there are so many fan pages as well with variations of all the names. I see it there.

He didn’t do this with Chelsey or Cressida . He seemed to have a very normal relationship with both of them so I am wondering why he’s turned Meghan into this odd Saviour figure who has come to redeem the worlds sins.
