The Era of Joy didn't last long.

This is going to be interesting, it's going to be a full on PR onslaught for the next few months, and then we will have Harry launching his very own 'commercial project'.

Clearly an article straight from the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, giving an exclusive to the DM.

This is what you call gaslighting and typical abuser, or enabler behaviour - H&M are bullying narcs trying to 'elevate' themselves off the back of a British institution. Abusers always put themselves As the victims when they're actually abusive liars

I'm not sure questioning the mental health of other posters is either in the spirit of the site or a particularly good look for you. And, just FYI, these sorts of attempts to shame/insults don't work.

I too was wondering if forum rules allow a poster to make no contribution to a discussion other than repeated, unprovoked attempts to insult other posters.

It's a good thing this poster is definitely 'not a fan' and is no doubt only motivated by a 'hatred of bullying' isn't it?

I'm hoping that Harry goes, it's so entertaining. I saw that film of him sitting next to Jack Brooksbank at the Coronation and chuntering away. A lip reader said it was all about how he's been so badly treated! 😂

It's just a shame Jack didn't set him straight ... I suspect Mike Tinsdale would have given him a good mouthful of truth! Next time sit him between Mike and princess Anne IMO he'll be given a great deal
Of home truths and a kick up the arse!

It’s just fascinating. Please see the recent posts about how ‘Jack’ definitely felt sitting next to Harry (according to posters who know neither Jack or Harry). Reread them with my post in mind 🤯

MayaKovskaya · 26/05/2025 12:35

Jack and Harry's conversation was interpreted by a lip reader. Blame her.

GailPlattsDeadHusband · 26/05/2025 12:35

Meghan said in the Oprah interview, "I was very scared of having to offer up our baby, knowing that they weren’t going to be kept safe." She was talking about the traditional hospital step photo and seemed to link being given a prince title at birth with receiving 24/7 security, which isn’t how it works.

Since they stepped away from royal duties, their level of protection changed and they've spent millions trying to get that protection reinstated.

Harry said in his statement after a court ruling that the RAVEC decision was a “reckless action [that] knowingly put me and my family in harm’s way.” That there ws “well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats,” and claimed the “institutions” continue to “incite hatred towards me, my wife, and even our children.”

These are serious concerns, straight from Harry and Meghan. That’s what makes it so confusing when they seem to set those fears aside to promote things like jam and honey. If the threats are that severe, how do you square that with pushing personal brands that draw even more attention to their family?.

I’m actually confused @RandyRedHumpback!
1 I thought fan fiction was written by .. well fans!

2 self soothe with lies? , well can you be self soothing if you aren’t upset? , criticism of actual events and actions are lies?

3 fascinating? Psychologists? , seems this poster has a rather unhealthy interest in other people’s posts!

Which part of their observation of the body language of the people discussed, and the interpretation of a professional lip reader are you struggling with?

Are you hoping that if you're nasty enough to people you don't know, then maybe your royal idol will reward you by sending you a badly labelled jam of mass produced raspberry 'spread' by air mail?

Or what?

I think it's some sort of "Get thee to the asylum before we burn ye at the stake, WITCH!" message. It's about as rational as a missive from Matthew Hopkins. You better not have been consorting with toads lately.

Poor Jack. Do you think he pulled the short straw and got a bottle of whisky for his good work? 😂

🤣🤣🤣
I also remember they arrived close together at the coronation and H seemed to be trying to walk down the aisle with them but they weren’t having it! I have just recalled that the Coronation was after the publication of Spare. How could he possibly complain about his treatment after what he said about his own family in that book? Even if you believe it to be true, you must realise their not going to be very happy with you!!

Wait, so the hate/criticism (whatever you want to call it), at least for some posters is due to the opinions of ‘lip readers’ that are paid for by tabloids and morning shows in order to get clicks and views? Seriously?!

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 26/05/2025 12:54

Hopefully this helps them burn through their cash even quicker and we might see the back of them soon….

None of this will improve their image, they banjaxed that themselves, repeatedly. Their ‘brand’ is too damaged. One cannot polish a turd.

Normally I wouldn’t address the poster of such a post directly but I will for this one!

many of the posters here myself included have sen children, we are very well versed in the concept of “self soothing “ , using this term as a cheap form of attack is offensive!

attempting to dress up and disguise a personal attack on another poster with psycho babble you obviously picked up from the internet, doesn’t stop it being a personal attack!

finding complete strangers posts on RF topics on mn “fascinating “ , says a lot about you personally!

calling for a psychologist to diagnose strangers on a gossip forum is not only bizarre but completely offensive to those actually suffering from mental health issues!

I agree it is really odd. From the article: Harry wants to “find a new way of getting his message across. Service above oneself is the cornerstone of everything he does” - what message?? What sage words does he think he has to offer the world? How has he been of “service” to his community these past few years? I don’t understand where this belief comes from that they think they have anything to say that people need to hear.

this belief ….that they think they have anything to say that people need to hear

100% this. The arrogance of it.

I wonder if a new member of the monteshitshow staff has the job of responding on MN to find out who is destroying their reputation .... if it's you, just give them a mirror each - job done!

PullTheBricksDown · 26/05/2025 13:19

Extiainoiapeial · 26/05/2025 09:51

I don't understand. It seems to me on this thread that she is being criticised for hiding her childrens' faces, and at the same time criticised for not showing their faces.

I think they've done great with this. I doubt the children would go to the coronation or the funeral. Just my personal opinion of course.

The issue of featuring the kids is in some ways a tricky one. Them being able to live normally, go out and about places and be part of family activities, on one side versus the wish for privacy on the other. There are plenty of celebrities who manage to achieve this privacy for their kids. Adele kept her son's name private for quite a few years till it was leaked, and even now I don't think I've ever seen him photographed. The Clooney twins haven't been in media photos to my knowledge. So it can be done. I do think it seems a bit off to complain about the media wanting a piece of your kids but then decide that that's ok provided you do it on your own social media and it draws attention there. That's about who benefits, not the principle of sharing the images to benefit.

I agree with whichever poster said that Harry will come alone for Charles's funeral (hopefully not for a good while yet) and none of them will come for William's coronation.

foreverblowingbubbless · 26/05/2025 13:26

MayaKovskaya · 26/05/2025 10:31

It's very hypocritical because Harry and Meghan have claimed to be a voice about the dangers of children and social media, and claim this issue as part of their well promoted philanthropy.
Either children are protected from social media, or you post pictures of your children regularly in order to promote your own media presence and so that people can say "sweet".
Click.

This is the main point I think despite all the attempts on here to derail and mock posters by some.

The Sussexes preach about the ills of SM.

They did a piece about young people who had died due to bullying on SM.

They attended an event where those young people's faces were shown on phones in public 🤷‍♀️

They preach and they talk BUT

they or certainly Meghan as it is her account and Netflix show constantly gives out peeks and voices of her children. For someone interested in safeguarding her children this is bizarre. The whole point of Harry's mission in courts is keeping his children SAFE yet here is his wife parading them on SM. She is playing a dangerous game.

Her Oprah quote "There was a lot of fear surrounding it. I was very scared of having to offer up our baby knowing that they weren't going to be kept safe."

SHE is the danger!

stillavid · 26/05/2025 13:28

I do wonder if Harry is keen for the children to feature as much as they don on Meghan's social media.

If they really want to keep them out of the public eye I would have thought no photos at all of them would be better. The frequent back of head/side shots just fan the flames of interest surely?

stillavid · 26/05/2025 13:28

But I strongly feel no children should be used by their parents on social media to promote a business etc

Do you think professional lip readers lie because they are being paid by the press? Do you think that's a risky strategy for a professional, when another lip reader can easily counter them? Can you point to anything that suggests the lip readers in this case said something untrue?

@PullTheBricksDown you are right about Adele and the Clooney twins. It can be done. But for Meghan it's an enticing look at me path which she can't seem to stop despite her supposed outrage about SM.
