Harry's new interview 2

I just thought I would start second thread since I noticed the first one is full. It has certainly dominated media reporting. I saw a snippet on Sky news earlier. A document from Harry saying its a dereliction of duty to stop his security. Erm who just whizzed off to the USA and left all the duties behind. I havent watched the whole interview. I wonder if he'll appeal again.

Of course she googled him 🙄 I googled my handyman fgs .

She didn’t have to goggle him!!
by all accounts from her childhood friend, she was obsessed with the royal family especially Diana and had books about her on her bookshelf, she knew all about him !

I'm not sure why you think he's keen on fighting. Don't you remember how scared he was when William shouted at the Sandringham Summit? Or how hurt he was when his necklace was broken? Poor lamb.

He only likes starting fights with people who won’t or can’t answer or fight back!

Re the ‘I didn’t google’, I’m pretty sure if I was a mature, intelligent woman as M undoubtedly is, I’d be doing all the background reading I could if I was going to sit next to a foreign prince. I think they’re two damaged people, she wanted what Harry represented, status and money. He fell for a beautiful, clever woman different from the girls he usually went after. Unfortunately she seems to be good at dropping friends and family and has encouraged him to do the same. They’re not good for each other emotionally. She stokes his bitterness and resentment.

Chelsea and Cressida were both beautiful and clever. Far more so than Meghan. Chelsey was training to be a lawyer!

I wonder what thoughts are going through Harry's mind today when/if he watches the coverage of the VE Day celebrations in London.

Poor me! They didn’t let me, Megs and the kids attend. Look at all that space in the balcony. I have a uniform and could have joined in but my father isn’t speaking to me. Maybe William would have pushed me off the balcony. The Wales’s children may have been mean to mine as the adoring public know that Archie and Lili are the global stars of the future

We didn’t receive an invite and I was hoping Kier Starmar would personally call me with an invitation. I going to take the UK Government to court about this. The truth needs to be told

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 05/05/2025 18:51

Looking at the pomp and ceremony at the VE day celebrations, I really hope Harry is understanding that this is one of the things he gave up.

Meghan has a degree from an excellent university and is stunning.

By my reading of the definition, Harry would have qualified if representing the King or in his household (i.e. a working royal) but not otherwise (section 5 of link)

And this explains the rationale for the 'half in half out' proposal. Not out of a desire to continue serving the Queen or the British people (or even 'collaborate with' them 😬) but to be doing royal duties on a minimal basis that would be enough to qualify them for IPP status. Luckily the late Queen didn't come down in the last shower and was well ahead of this.

And why, in a roundabout way, Harry is clutching at this as a rationale for his nonsensical assertion that he needs an invitation from the RF to come to the UK in order to have security.

Everything leads back to his needing the RF to agree to 'half in, half out' in order for him to have any hope of being allocated IPP status.

He has no hope of either.

So will there be any more quasi Royal tours to dodgy destinations if they have to carry on funding their security instead of getting us to fork out for it?
🤔

I’m guessing not.

Not2identifying · 05/05/2025 19:34

I think they negotiated with the governments of Nigeria, Colombia, etc, to get state protection whilst there. And I might be wrong because I can't remember where they're going but I've got an inkling that they have announced that they're doing another faux tour again relatively soon.

But the UK government have never said that they wouldn’t be given security, just that notice of arrival (and presumably plans) had to be given. I would imagine this was the same for Nigeria and Columbia. Some
notice had to be given and some sort of itinerary submitted. So it’s no different 🤷‍♀️

I’m guessing not.

Only if they can get the respective countries to stump up for what they want. I hope there are few takers and after this week imagine anyone who wants a genuine royal visit won't be too keen.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/05/2025 19:47

I believe there was some (unconfirmed) talk about Lesotho or Botswana receiving the next visit, @Not2identifying, but those are where Sentebale operates and given recent events I doubt Harry will be returning any time soon

I’ve been reliably informed that it’s a real love match. Personally I think it’s toxic but I don’t doubt what ive been told.

I can quite believe that there's co-dependence and limerence involved. Not least if H has traits of the antisocial conscience-free sociopath he came across as in that BBC interview, and he married a woman with a personality that seeks bursts of adoration.

H said of M on their Netflix doc that when he saw her at the end of her walk down the aisle, he thought: 'Look at ... look at me. Look what I got'.

M is his trophy.

Personally, I think he's cracked and I wouldn't want him anywhere near my family. Ever. Certainly not with his armed henchmen status symbols in tow.

I think Meghan at first comes across as friendly, charming if a little OTT. As time goes on though I imagine people see her for who she really is - a user of people, a liar, an insinuator , a sneak and a person not to get too involved with.

I think it was to be Ghana .

I don’t think he will be able to cope watching it, he will be full of resentment, jealousy and rage, all self inflicted of course, he knows full well he’s utterly blown it and he’s finished now. It certainly hasn’t worked in his favour that the VE Day celebrations were straight after his interview, we have had wall to wall coverage of our wonderful military, veterans and the Royal family all front and centre on the world stage marking an incredible time in our history, his petulant interview is yesterday’s news, no one cares, everyone has moved on including the royal family, time he did as well.

Both qualifications you definitely need to be a pancake mix saleswoman.

as you all probably guess I’m not a Meghan or Harry fan but she is stunning so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree. And vice versa - when asked about her marriage recently she said 'he loves me so much!!!'.

Err, wouldn't most people in love say how much they love their partner? It's as if she is valuable because someone of his 'status' loves her, and that makes her valuable.

Would love to be a fly on the wall 😂

Yes, odd. It is usually the person speaking saying "I love him/her so much"., or "we love each other so much".

We need Herr Doctor Freud for this one, I think 😂

NewAgeNewMe · 05/05/2025 17:49

Quite. But my source is sound so I believe it’s a love match, the toxicity of it is another story.

But at the end of the day, even if your source was MM herself, how would you know? She’s hardly likely to be telling people that she can’t stand the whining git and only married him because he was a prince. While it suits her to remain with him, I’m sure she does a good impression of being loved up.
