What’s this?!?!
So women of a certain age should adjust their hair colouring so it’s a better match to their husbands, otherwise it’s weird!! Jeez, the 1950s have called and want you back.

I have an appointment with my hairdresser today and now wondering if I should cancel my highlights , have virtually all my hair cut off and dye it grey to match DH ?

What should you do if you have coloured your hair for years (and would be completely grey if not) but husband still has his original hair colour? Asking for a friend…

Lets all breathe a collective sigh of relief that we can leave that ‘weird’ idea firmly in MN land.😂

As independent and free thinking women of the modern age, we can choose to do what the heck we want with our hair and don't need to take into consideration our partners age, hair colouring or follicle density before we make ourselves a hair appointment.

I’m not saying they should dye it a different colour, just that it looks weird in photos if you don’t. William and Kate only really exist to be photographed looking nice in various places.

I think she would suit both of these brilliantly so was hoping for something dramatic! As it is I think she looks great, but I’m bit disappointed it’s not a super-stylish length change.

I’m not far off 40 and I feel like I’ve seen so much stuff recently about how in your 40s as you approach menopause you’re just a complete mess with no waist, bad skin, and grey wiry hair 😂 Nice to know that isn’t the case for everyone!

Thats not my reality either or for people I know, people are looking better than ever in their 40s. I think 50s can be the decade things start happening but I know so many who still look gorgeous, they just look after themselves.

I agree. Some men carry off facial hair well. He’s not one of them. He just looks scruffy

Why can't they? If that is what she's had and always has done (I've read here before she has extensions, I have no idea as I I don't know enough about it) but if she's always been bothered enough about having hair longer than her natural hair why isn't she proud of that and it not be a secret?

lots of celebs are secretive about their plastic surgery, hair extensions, exercise regimes, restrictive diets etc It's part of for the course really.

I expect her hairdresser has advised her to go lighter to help make any greys blend in better. I'm naturally dark brunette and a similar age. I've had to start going lighter and have more highlights in my hair for that reason.

She looks stunning.

I’m the same - just started adding in highlights/balyage and it looks similar to hers in the sun now. My grays weren’t even very noticeable but my hair went from multidimensional brown to kind of flat looking.

I only suggested it was a coy secret because a PP said the press weren't allowed to mention it's a weave from some fancy salon or something so they play a game of saying it's dramatic or something to try and hint at it being artifical because they can't just say.

No idea if that is true but if it is then it is a weird secret that apparently the press are bound by. Which is bizarre and inexplicable.
