Not listened to the first in Meghan's podcast series, a conversation with the founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Heard, but the Mail has collated all the press reviews so far, with links. The Guardian, Telegraph and i-Paper are unanimous: the podcast is cloyingly dreadful.

The reviews for Meghan Markle's latest podcast are in! Two stars for Confessions of a Female Founder https://mol.im/a/14584193 via https://dailym.ai/android

Just wait the squad will be called in shortly and there will be better reviews from user2334556

ZenNudist · 08/04/2025 19:19

I'm not of the squad but to be fair the guardian were always going to slam it. I didn't read the DM link but dont they hate her too?

Maybe that's why she gets picked up regardless of the asinine nature of her output. People will always listen even if they hate her and she gets coverage.

Podcast sounds shit so I won't be listening.

MrsLeonFarrell · 08/04/2025 19:57

The Telegraph isn't massively positive either. It is rather an overdone subject at this point and I'm sure she is aiming it at an American audience. The tone isn't quite right for here but I doubt she cares.

Hazeby · 08/04/2025 20:12

Who cares? If you dislike her so much, why not just scroll on by and stop giving her the brain space.

Hazeby · 08/04/2025 20:13

I don’t think her output is suited for British audiences, her style is not our cup of tea regardless of who she is.

Screamingabdabz · 08/04/2025 20:22

Why doesn’t she “spare” us all and just give up? They’re wealthy enough to live a quiet life aren’t they? It’s such a shame they weren’t prepared to live as part of the RF. The influence and reach they could’ve had would’ve been phenomenal, but everything she does is so weighed down by her own narcissism it’s just embarrassing at this point.

We're not all from the UK though.

Quite a coincidence they both suffered the same rare post-partum condition. One that would seem to require urgent medical attention when it arises:

Didn't she leave hospital two hours after Archie's epidural birth too?

I'm irresistibly reminded of Eddie Murphy's miracle recovery in 'Trading Places'

If only we could channel all that H&M hate energy into renewables, we’d have enough to heat Highgrove House—or maybe even fuel one of Prince William’s endless helicopter joyrides. You’d think with all that outrage, they could at least power a few wind turbines, but no, they’d rather complain on Mumsnet.

vera99 · 08/04/2025 20:48

Spoiler alert British publications are grinding their axes for numerous reasons. Over the pond they are less engaged with defending the Crown.

Or the Irish Times freed from the hate virus - they probably save that for the Great Famine and Anglo perfidy and rightly so.

And what about Harry wanting the British taxpayer to pay for his own personal security, when he's a multi millionaire and quite able to pay for it himself! These two really take the biscuit!

Well considering no one can actually power anything with emotions your comment makes no sense whatsoever.
And let's face it they could commit mass murder and you would still be on here 24 /7 looking for every slight on your sainted heroine and riding in to defend her and her unfortunate spouse.
You should ask them to put you on their payroll as number one cheer leader.

Pa's already cleaned up on the wind turbines...

I’ve just listened. I had no idea who Whitney was or how Bumble came about so I found it quite interesting and a nice, positive listen.

Security isn’t a lifestyle choice though is it. I’m sure he’d like to live without having take two or three burly blokes with him everywhere he goes. But he needs it because he’s a high profile member of the Royal Family, something he didn’t choose and can’t undo, and I don’t mind my taxes paying to keep him and his family safe from nutters and terrorists.

Other members of the RF manage it. What makes Harry so special different?

Manage what?

Id guess she has a certain drive she can’t just shut off, and a vision for where she wants to get to, as all entrepreneurs do.

That’s the first I’ve heard she had that.

I know 2 women who had it, one had to be re admitted to hospital and one was managed at home. They were both fine thankfully but it can be very serious.

As he is no longer a working member of the RF it is Harry who puts himself in the public eye . Apart from The King and Queen plus the Wales family , no others have 24/7 security . Why is he different ?

But he doesn’t live in the UK. Why are British taxpayers supposed to pay for him? When he does come to the UK, he gets security on a bespoke basis. So what more does he want or are you prepared to pay for?

eta he has managed to get here safely and has had what appears to be police protection today, whilst going to court 🙄
