I don't think we're done talking - and I never start threads!

As you were!

I personally would be delighted if we never hear anything from Harry again, silence is golden.

As Meghan so wisely and meaningfully informed The Cut: "I have a lot to say. Until I don't. Sometimes the silence is part of the song. Do you like that?"

Truly a sage, Confucius had nothing on her.

He hasn’t managed to get out of bed yet

He’s takes on the Linda Evangelista work ethic and won’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 dollars a day…sorry, $10,000,000 dollars a day

Baital · 24/01/2025 14:24

It would be interesting to find out his take on his change from 'I am doing this for everyone who couldn't afford not to settle' a month or so ago, to settling this week.

But given he is very unlikely to explain the change, it's probably best if he doesn't make a statement.

Any takers?

Was Sherbourne's statement outside the court not PH words? Did Sherbourne not say I have been asked to read this statement?

jeffgoldblum · 24/01/2025 14:35

Yes @Spectre8 , I think my comment fully explains that !
Not sure what ' theb' means ?

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:40

Wow such nasty comments.
Harry won his case. He got an apology, full legal costs paid, and a massive settlement.
Tom Watson has called him brave. Charles Spencer has thanked him for getting an apology for the way the press treated Princess Diana.

And yet so many people on here just post snidy horrible comments. Quite sad to be such a bitter person I imagine.

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:42

And if people posted similar comments about William or Catherine, they would be quickly banned.

jeffgoldblum · 24/01/2025 14:42

From what I've heard Tom Watson is not a very upstanding man himself, I doubt his approval is going to bolster Harry .

Oh behave.

Honestly, such drama because others see that he didn’t win anything. He folded, he settled, he compromised. If that stings, so be it.

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:44

@jeffgoldblum Tom Watson MP got an apology from NGN and admitted the press lied about his actions.

jeffgoldblum · 24/01/2025 14:45

What's that got to do with his own past behaviour?

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:46

@Atlasvue Harry won. He got a massive settlement and a public apology and as far as anyone knows, no NDN.

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:47

@jeffgoldblum Sorry Lord Watson. Are you referring to the behaviour where NGN now admit they lied about Tom Watson?

IcedPurple · 24/01/2025 14:47

I wouldn't bother if I were you.

If people don't understand that it's not actually possible for someone to 'win a case' when they have agreed to drop that case, then the likelihood is that they are choosing not to understand, and therefore not worthy of any time or effort to convince them otherwise.

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:48

@IcedPurple Not worthy? LOLOL

Woop woop, that’s the sound of the police…

Not sure what the transcripts of pre-trial hearings will tell them, as that was largely discussing the timing for hearing, when Harry knew about phone hacking claim and irrelevant passages in a lot of Harry’s witness statements, so far as was reported.

But at least the Police are doing something.

JoyousGreyOrca · 24/01/2025 14:49

@IcedPurple presumably you also think William lost his case against NGN then? He settled. I have read that he settled for a million pounds.

The police are looking at whether NGN have broken the law.

William can't have lost his case because he settled. There was no case to lose.

Harry can't have won his case because he settled. There was no case to win.

It's pretty straightforward.

Wow, it’s actually scary that some people can deny the reality of the situation….but also very funny

But then, Harry has led the way on that front

So in the spirit of the RF……..🪨

jeffgoldblum · 24/01/2025 14:52

I may be wrong but I'm sure the met have issued a statement saying They are not.

William didn’t file a court claim against NGN though. So no, he didn’t win his case, because he didn’t file one.

Sorry I forgot you are going the pedantic route. A case can only be won or lost of a judge declares in court it is a win or loss.

Not how the vast majority of people see it, but I will remember you like to be pedantic for the future.

Atlasvue · 24/01/2025 14:54

Pedantic 😂
