I don't think we're done talking - and I never start threads!

As you were!

It's a bit of a leap from people discussing threads to a co ordinated effort behind the scenes

I'm eyeing everyone up now to see if they are in the special gang

Which one? The Facebook one, that Definitely Exists?
Or the Sussex Squad one that no-one here has heard of?

But they did confirm they talked about MN threads and posters on there

People do that all over the place though! There’s several threads being uncomplimentary about my user name on Reddit for example. Which is presumably coming directly from people who read and comment on the Royal family board. I think it’s funny. Which goes back to what I said about personal resilience…

Blimey, we don’t often see eye to eye on here Serenster but that’s quite mad! 😲

NotaRealHousewife · 27/01/2025 16:25

That would be the special Facebook one that I haven't been invited to

Me neither. (But, then we would deny knowledge, wouldn't we?)

The first rule about Special Royalist Facebook Club is not to talk about Special Royalist Facebook Club.

jeffgoldblum · 27/01/2025 16:31

Does anyone actually use Facebook now?
Still I didn't think it was for messages, how odd.

JoyousGreyOrca · 27/01/2025 16:32

I am aware I think there are two MN groups on reddit? Not totally sure. I am sure there are other groups talking about MN. I do not think it is that unusual.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/01/2025 16:34

@Andtheweaselgoespop56 Well what I took from that post was that it was a group set up by posters on here, hence my and another poster’s surprise that we had never heard of it or been invited to join it, when in fact it turns out it’s just a generalised Facebook group about the royal family, I think that’s what’s called stirring the pot and is an example of posters trying to cause division.

pelargoniums · 27/01/2025 16:35

Might make a TikTok about a subreddit on Reddit discussing the secret Facebook group about how on Mumsnet to deal with the Squad influx from X, formerly known as Twitter, then share it on Instagram Stories.

NotaRealHousewife · 27/01/2025 16:38

@Rhaidimiddim I think we would have gotten a badge if we were members

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 27/01/2025 16:38

@Serenster I've seen that page on Reddit and seen some really crappy things written about you. More often than not by the same people praising the aforementioned "lovely" republican whose name doesn't appear here any more.

I'm glad it doesn't bother you.

That’s fine BigWillyLittleTodger

As you can see, I’ve already fully conceded that point ,in a post directed to you, several posts below.

So I think this is what is called overkill, and is an example of what I mentioned previously! 😀.

Please don’t try and control what I post, I will respond whenever I like, you don’t make the rules on here.

Who said that, then?

I do recall one poster (who no longer posts under that name) admit that they were in contact with other posters off the Board - and then walk that back quite a bit when asked about it. But that was a poster who supported Meghan and Harry.

yes, I recall that very clearly, it was a regular and very vocal H&M supporter.

I think the poster who thinks it was RF supporters has gotten it mixed up.

Gosh, that is fricking 'weird', I guess you can take it as a backhanded compliment considering your posts are always articulate, knowledgeable and to the point.

I'm glad you can see the humour in it, 😀

I can't remember the name but I wonder if you're thinking of the same exchange as I am. Someone mentioned writing a book and suggested that another poster contacted them about it.
I asked the other poster if there was really going to be a book but they were non-committal and said they and the first poster weren't in touch behind the scenes as had been suggested.
I never knew what to make of it.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/01/2025 17:09

OK I think this is a fair demonstration of what some of us have been talking about.

It really isn’t, nowhere have I ‘driven you off’ this thread if that is what you are trying to imply, in fact your response claiming that I shouldn’t reply to your post as it is ‘overkill’ is an example of you trying to do just that to me, perhaps you should give that some thought as you seem to have double standards. No one has been ‘rude’ to you, robust yes but I prefer that to passive aggressive posts which you seem to favour.

No, it wasn't that, it was something that slipped out from a poster who regularly tied themselves into knots, they didn't realise the implication of it until other posters asked them to confirm it. It was quite humourous.

I have seen it now, not surprised most of them are banned from here, they really are a bit on the cough, cough extreme side. It's only a handful of members by the look of it, it doesn't appear to resonate with too many

No. You simply misread my comment.
I stated that people who support the Royal Family previously said on here that they talk about MN Royal threads and posters in a facebook group.
I said NOTHING about who it was set up by, what it was called, its purpose, who were members. Because guess what? I do not know the answers,

I said this in response to a ridiculous claim of co-ordinated Sussex supporter raids on this board.

You haven’t driven me off. I’ve got other stuff to do which is more pleasant.

I conceded the Facebook point twice in two posts directly to you!

I said I usually found Orca’s posts to be genuine if you didn’t see the first one?

In my second point to you I said I should have added “if it exists” to my point.

And after that, and loads of posts about keeping things civil on this thread and on this board, you still found it necessary to come back and post in a rude way?

Why does being civil only have to apply to Republicans?

I actually put a smile on the end of my post to indicate a joke that I wasn’t being rude!

If that constitutes being passive agressieve in your book then that’s not my problem.

Sorry but your posts come across as consistently rude and not just tonight.

I do not have anything mixed up. It was some very prolific Royal supporters.
I did not read the other incident though you are talking about.
