With Love, Meghan - criticisms and genuine concern for her mental health

I am probably going to be flogged for posting this and chased down the dark laneways of Mumsnet as bystanders yell “Shame Shame Shame”.

I weighed in yesterday about a thread on Meghan and her new Netflix show. I made some criticisms about the trailer and certain cliche’s in the way it was produced. Hypocritical of me to be posting this but I feel guilty and have reflected. I am actually looking forward to watching it on Netflix and my criticisms were pretty minor and not exclusive to her show - it’s a common issue I have.

Meghan has struggled with mental health because of criticism. The reaction to ‘With Love… Meghan’ has been fairly brutal.

I think it would be really good if we refrained from saying anything negative about the series or Meghan Markle. That’s not the point of this thread.

I want to know if you think the criticisms have gone too far. The Princess of Wales is not on the scene and we are protective of her rightly so. That leaves Meghan as media fodder though.

Do you think it’s time Meghan and Harry were given a break ? I do. I think we’ve been far too harsh and the criticisms have gotten out of hand.

I think we also forget the cultural relevance. If we went into the homes or Gwyneth, Julia Roberts etc and I would probably feel the divide too. American culture doesn’t apologise for wealth and hollywoood is highly competitive.

Having a confident demeanour, throwing your head back Julia Roberts style when you laugh and unapologetically selling $$$ vagina products like Gwyneth Paltrow is how it over there. People talk loudly and confidently and are polished and rehearsed especially in the

I think there are 17 provable lies in that interview. And then one big bullshit one about Harry's father and sister in law being racists and "concerned" abut how dar Archie's skin would be which absolutely no one with any sense believes.

Meghan doesn't see it as negative feedback all comments and criticism is good. If no one talked about them then they can't promote themselves that's showbiz baby.

Whatever the matter, I'll be watching the whole thing.
I can't find the energy to hate a woman whose husband adores her enough to give up so much for her; and one who apparently contributes to many humanitarian causes.
I watch far less worthy people on Netflix, so...

You are another one who doesn't seem to get it. You can come on here, see a thread about anything and post your opinion on it. It doesn't mean you are obsessed or consumed with anything. I will come on here and say I hate the fact that Meghan is a liar but I don't think about her the rest of my day 😂 Maybe you are mixing up YOUR devotion to the cause and think this is how others live.

He can't remember his own experience!! He was off his face for much of his younger years as he told us. He's had a good crack at making a few things up, stitched up a few women and had a punt at hoping he wouldn't be caught out completely forgetting that he is Prince Harry and therefore most stuff can be verified. When people have the confidence to be honest about the racism then we might see some change but until then the media knows they can continue to bait the many gammon that read Daily mail.

I thought he was a catch before he married and thought lucky girl to Meghan. His horrible personality has put paid to that now, he seems very ugly to me now. I can’t stand the sight or sound of him. He’s worse than her. I feel for her that he’s her ‘man’, yeuch.

I've never seen so many new names, so many people who are obviously not British and have no ideas of lands, titles etc today. I think this has happened

Are there threads and SM commentaries with the same level of passionate hate, upset and anger towards Prince Sweaty Tits Andrew? Or Charles who had dubious dealings and an inappropriate friendship with his bezzy Jimmy Saville? Charles who has clearly earned a fair whack at the expense of the tax payer and probably more that we aren't aware of.

I would love to see that online data gathered. I'd hazard a guess that MM comes out significantly worse if this data were available.
