What does a Trump administration mean for H&M?

What will this new era usher in for Harry and Meghan?

I don’t think it will have any impact on his visa status ….but I think they may reign in their war against SM, especially if Musk is anywhere near the white house.

Harry will have to think before he speaks about the American constitution, didn’t he say the first amendment was “bonkers” ?

I think they may move away from this angle of their work and concentrate their efforts elsewhere.

With the scale of project 2025 and the goals the Trump administration have for subverting the system of democracy in America they honestly won’t have time to be bothered about Harry’s visa status - he is small fry compared to everything else they will try to do.

Small fry yes, but an easy win for global headlines.

I don’t think he will be deported but I think he will keep his head down and stop the antics

Fighting on Mumsnet and then deep diving for info and dirt on their Mumsnet history. Come on ladies, when we are always against each other, men like Donald Trump win - they really do.

OneTealSloth · 07/11/2024 15:37

Trump doesn’t need Harry for headlines, the media class give him a megaphone for the smallest things.

Twistybranch · 07/11/2024 15:37

Deep diving?

They’ve been deleted on this thread and on another royal thread for personal attacks. Its easy to see just scroll up.

You are all asking the wrong question.

The right question is, is it of benefit to Trump to revisit this subject at some point and then in turn, if it becomes of benefit would he revisit it?

The answer is Trump will exploit and situation which becomes beneficial to him.

This could include the need to drop a dead cat. What better dead cat distraction than revisiting Harry's visa and deciding that his emigration to the US is flawed?

What message does this send and what could Trump hide behind this?

If Trump is starting mass deportations, then he won’t care if a prince is involved.

Harry should have thought twice about talking about his drug taking

I disagree, in the sense that he'd consider it a coup that he could deport a prince. But it really depends on his attention span, because he's just as likely to be all mouth as he is to go all in on an issue like this.

Lavenderfarmcottage · 07/11/2024 15:43

I hope some more things go right for this couple. They’re privileged, yes but we all stand in judgment and have zero idea od what it would be like to walk out of our house with 50 paps, let alone have our every outfit, piece of hair and movement televised and photographed. I think most ordinary women would have a breakdown. There’s not just the pressure of the public but your husband who is hoping she’s found the right woman for him and the job.

I would love to see Harry and Meghan move into Windsor palace - it’s empty and it’s secure with ample room to bike ride and have fun. They deserve an olive branch but English royalty are too proud.

Twistybranch · 07/11/2024 15:44

Agree, he may just shout and scream about it.

But that’s not a good situation for Harry to be in, having a president call you out

I cannot imagine Trump really cares about Harry. But , if HThe gloves come off, as a convicted felon, Trump should be denied access to the UK.

Trump is not a convicted felon. In NY, as in most states, one doesn't become a convicted felon until sentencing. It is unlikely he will ever be sentenced now.

He can say he is applying it equally to everyone including liberal minded immigrants because these people are taking away well paid jobs from ordinary hard working Americans....

What I’ve gleaned from this thread is that OP can’t wait for bad things to happen to H&M. That’s the only point of it.

Never going to happen. They got kicked out of Frogmore lol

LifeExperience · 07/11/2024 15:51

Eric Trump said to a British reporter a few days ago that Harry wasn't important enough for his father to worry about. And here in the US he's not. H & M have beclowned themselves so much that they're figures of ridicule more than anything else. Mostly they're ignored.

Also, Harry is the father of American children. Consideration would be made for that. He's the son of another head of state. Consideration would also be made for that. Unless Harry has done something so abhorrently awful that he would not qualify to remain under any circumstances, he'll be allowed to stay.

PortiasBiscuit · 07/11/2024 15:52

I honestly cannot think of anything I have ever given less fucks about.. and I have spent a good few minutes trying.

Trump is very transactional. Unless Harry does or says something that affects Trump I doubt much attention will be paid to him. Whatever I think about Trump he will be president and I don't think a minor royal will be on his radar.

Right, every other day is Harry is minor, irrelevant, pointless etc Trump becomes President elect and the first thought is what he’s going to do to inconsequential people lol

It’s tiresome when you constantly quote people with a deliberately contrary view.

Oh no!
Posters engaging with other posters and disagreeing ON PURPOSE 😱
Whatever next

W*hat Does A Trump Administration Mean for H&M ?

I'd say they'll be treated the same as Zara, Benetton, Sephora and all the other EU founded shopping conglomerates in the US.

Sorry I couldn't resist Smile
