The rumours have been doing the rounds for a while, but Puck News now reporting it, which means it is very likely that their contract with Netflix will not be renewed.

"The streamer is not expected to renew its five-year, $100 million deal signed in 2020 with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Meghan’s passion project, the animated kids show Pearl, has already been canceled, and the unscripted cooking and polo offerings didn’t connect the way the royal couple’s Harry & Meghan did. "

This is exactly what it was like - because she quite clearly was. Meghan has always had a great awareness of what looks great in still photographs - of course she has, she was climbing the “Hollywood Star” ladder where that matters. So you can see shot after great shot of her with a hand charmingly positioned by her cheek, her hands loosely clasped under her chin, her jacket drawn back so you can see the curve of her bump etc etc.

The Royal photographers and camera crew and the Royal Rota journalists, who followed her most days, would also have seen first-hand the artifice that goes into the gorgeous still shot. Walking ten or so steps with your hand held up to your face looks quite odd in real life. Constantly moving your coat out of the way so your bump is visible ditto. And they probably also saw plenty of occurrences like the charity visit in South Africa where Meghan’s sole focus was making sure she got the shots she was after (in that case, playing with babies on the floor - so relatable!), rather than anything, or anyone else.

You spend all day watching that, you probably don’t form a great impression of the authenticity of the person you are covering? And if there’s an attitude of “she’s doing it again…” in the press pack, I am very sure it will work its way into their coverage.

It was excessive. She would even flip open her coat to make sure nobody missed the bump. It was ridiculous.

I only found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks, so around as far gone as Meghan was at that wedding, and looked exactly the same as I always did. No bump and still a size 8, didnt even need to unbutton my jeans, let alone coat. It was so attention seeking. Even the headline in the article you linked about eugenies wedding is all about her. Just the way she likes it. It's insufferable

She stoked up all his resentment for being second son and stroked his enormous ego because it suited her own ends.
Quite funny that he is now still second fiddle albeit to his wife rather than his brother.

He’s even more of a spare now. At least the RF didn’t physically shove him out of the way to be centre stage in photos. I find it quite amusing to see his head poking out on the back row of photos while his wife is centre front. It’s just crying out for a Where’s Wally Harry book.

If wonder if Harry has twigged yet that his family will never trust him again. William strikes me as someone who is very protective of his kids and i can't imagine will ever want his kids to be in the same room as Harry
How can there ever be any reconciliation without trust.
Hollywood A listers seem to be keeping their distance for the same reason.

There seemed to be a lot of articles a few weeks ago about the Sussexes not being invited to spend summer holidays with the King. I’m assuming that this is their PR people pushing the victim narrative when anyone with a brain cell would know why. I wonder if this year would have been the first time that they would have accepted so that they could milk the PR and try and find some gossip too. There is definitely a protective shield around news about Charles and Catherine’s health now and that’s probably the info that outsiders would like to know about.

I noticed a Blind article on Twitter which - annoyingly- i can’t now find ! It was suggesting that Meghan wasn’t happy as she thought she would have received emeralds/ monetary gift for visiting Colombia .

That actually sounds like one of the replies that posters (who wish they were lawyers) type out on MN for the OP of a thread about some sort of dispute between neighbours:
"I hereby demand that your pet - who from henceforth will be known as 'Tibbles' - desist from shitting on my flowerbed forthwith!".
Maybe it's the sort of thing Meghan picked up from "Suits"?

Agree utterly performative, standing on stage like she was carrying the second coming, Catherine naturally touched her bump, she would never in a million years stand on stage the way Meghan did.

The victim narrative, but it works with some people. There are posters here that blame KC3 for not making an effort to visit his grandchildren in the US!

I never really noticed the bump cradling while it was happening (I wasn’t really that interested) but I’ve since seen the coat moving and that weird two handed bump holding and it definitely made me think that’s odd behaviour from a grown woman.

Again it looks like it's all for the good pictures rather than looking good irl on the day. Makeup for photos is much heavier and more exaggerated than an everyday face.
I had some professional pictures, with professional hair & makeup, taken a while back. Saw some of the preliminary results before coming home and they were really nice. Couldn't believe it when I came home and looked in the mirror: arghh! Who's that creature with the staring eyes, carmine lips and orange cheeks peering back at me?!
I guess this picture of Meghan was unfortunately taken fairly close to (or with a very good long lens), in profile and in daylight, whereas, I suspect, her makeup was for electric light and to stand out when looking forward in group photos.
It's funny, looking back, how many of the pictures have her with her hand glued to her cheek. It must look odd, walking along like that irl.
So easily could be mistaken for an ear-cupping "What's that? SPEAK UP you whippersnapper!" gesture.
